I've worn shorts but not brave enough to wear slippers. And now I've got kevlar lined jeans but still a tshirt until my armored shirt comes. Taking a risk I know.
Yes- I came across a guy in jean shorts who was just out for a spin and hit a little sand, dumped, then slid down the pavement for 35 ft. He was in shock with a couple square ft of skin ripped off. After all the pain and treatments, he would still never be the same again.
I'm about the same size as you 6'1. How does the bike feel for you? Does it feel small for you? Do your legs feel cramped? Are the handlbars comfortable? I ask these questions because I'm looking for my first bike and this video caught my eye.
Nice bike I've the 06 blue color with windscreen. I get around 25Km/L. My daily commute is 70km both ways to work, I just enjoy it. Bike picks up rather well due to short gear ratio, I keep up with HD on the road in group rides but its not a sport to give the thrills of speed or maneuverability, no complaints though. I got it last summer with 4k Km and a year later I put another 8k Km more on it no complaints, I'm keeping it for now. Maybe in a couple of years i'll think of getting a street bike
I have a Vulcan 500. On the highway it gets a little over 50 mpg, but I usually ride about 70 mph. If I went slower it would probably get better mileage. It doesn't have a gas gauge, so when I get to about 100 miles from my last fill up I start looking for a gas station.
great bike and I like the video...but i still can't decide on what kind of cruiser to get.... vuncan, vigo, s40 and rebels are all favorites. decisions..decisions
That camera takes a good video, and I was shocked I could hear you while the bike was at speed. Not clearly but still. Been thinking about getting a Vulcan 500, and was wondering if mpg and pick up was satisfactory?
@JJ2072 Thanks. There is no mic input on the go pro so i'm going to have to have a separate recorder for voice if i'm riding as the wind is too loud. @DSINKS haha I had just got up when my go pro came in the mail. Had to try it out.
I have the same bike. I live off I95 if you drive all Highway you can get 120 on the tank. 150 with reserve just carry a small bottle with some extra gas to test. That's with going about 80
I'm a 11 and my neighbor 5 houses down has one he's 19 and loves it I love I want to buy it perfect dive for both of us crazy good acceleration and speed I would get this if you don't like croch rockets
3:07 - "Always wear protective gear. All the time..(something)...Don't do what I am doing. I am an experienced driver. Still. Still...(something)" Sandals, Shorts, Short sleeve shirt. Guess at least you are wearing your helmet.
Riding gear. I see you've purchased fools gear. That's t-shirt, shorts and hope it's not sandal for the feet. 1 idiot driver and you'll regret that decision.
Bro, that bike looks beautiful. The crome contrast the red paint job so well. Ride proud my friend.
Whoa! I really liked engine roar! =)
This dude is wearing slippers and shorts? Hello Squid.

good video, I have the same bike, I know how hot those pipes get and how hard that pavement is, I'm curious about riding in cut offs? peace man!
These bikes have some sort of key to turn them on right?
Nice video, but I hope you wear a jacket, pants, and boots with that helmet next time. Ride safe.
Gloves would keep the hands from getting ripped up on pavement, too.
thats near the granite links exit Golf club
