Good one cobber. It sure is dry. That was a nice bit of real estate you were walking in for a bit of close up shooting. Like to see guys enjoying themselves. Once again thanks for the video. Take it easy mate.
MountainMan Hunting Films Appreciated bro, I have been watching a couple of yours lately. You have been doing some Hard yards and the custom soundtrack is awesome.
That strange thing looks like someone dropped a log lol. Great vid and great velvet stag comment lol had me in tears. Should be a few stags left in April for me when I get over although Marlborough is a little easier to hunt :-)
Top stuff fellas. I reckon it's likely to be a short jawed kokopu in there. I know of them in other tributaries of the Manawatu. Great to see them - they're pretty secretive fish.
Just got back from an overnighter on the other side today, drought like conditions all the creeks had dried up & bugger all water in the river even. Alas not a deer was seen 🙁
Bugger, yeah this dry weather sucks alright. Will be interesting to see how it effects the roar this year. We only saw the one and I definitely expected to see at least a couple more.
"We like to shoot the big velvet stags just before the roar"
Hahaha good humor along with a great video. Awesome mission boys!
Haha 😂 thanks bro
Awesome night away mate great looking country well done👍

The Eel would have been happy that meals on wheels.( Legs ) turned up.👍👌😆
Haha yeah he was getting stuck in, I would have really liked to get the big guy out for the camera but it didn't show itself.
Always enjoy watching whats on the menu in the ruahines! Cheers for sharing

Cheers Hayden, I found a dead one earlier in the day wish I had taken a photo for confirmation. Yax reckons it’s a short jaw as well.
Premo wee mission guys. keep up the good work.
Nice work boys!
Enjoy your vids bro keep em up.
Thanks Paul
mean bro, I'm not sure what type of (adult) whitebait it is, but I'm leaning toward it being the banded kokopu
Thanks Ben, yeah I agree but still not 100%
