I started on mine this evening. It is very interesting to build, so far the wheels/tires and the nerf bars are about the only steps repeated from the original. I am only up to installing the servo so that may be simlar but everything else looks to be quite different as well which is kind of cool. I hope to get it wrapped up soon, I really want to drive it!
Nice I can't wait to see what you do with yours! If you have more shock collar spacers from other tamiyas use much more on the rear make it stiffer and use one of the one thicks one from the kit up front only I did this now mine turns a bit better. Thanks for the shoutouts! I just dropped in a sport tuned motor in mine!
They have done nice things with the kit, but I'm not paying £195 here for a Hornet. The ESC is slightly better then the Hobby wing 1060wp as it can take a 8t motor. I think they should have used the yellow plastic on the shocks as that does keep in with the Hornet look for me. Does not look like much in the box but over the old kit, double the build because the old one was very simple.
I like that the kits come with the esc an motor. I get why people like kits without electronics, but it was really helpful for me before i understood all the different sizes, and the number of s'es
Hey Brent, a very nice unboxing and insight into the Hornet Evo. Of course some subtle physical changes, but bearing as standard! Of wow! Is this the turn for Tamiya? Bearings as standard across their kit ranges. Although a £90 ($115) increase from the original Hornet, not sure I could justify the price 😊😊best wishes to you and the family and a Merry Christmas to you and the family 🍾🎄😉🙏😎
Awesome video excellent build definitely like the looks of the tamiyas they definitely are unique rigs with tons of class
Nice don't mind a good kit video they'd be great in winter over there looking forward to it 👊
Nice on the EVO! CONGRATS !!! I hope Tamiya makes EVOs of other kits.
Great looking kit, thanks for sharing and can't wait to see it rip.
I am jealous. Lol. can't wait to see a head to head race vs the original on your track
Nice unboxing Brent! Looking forward to seeing how you do the body and your opinion on the build!👍😊
Very nice kit

@@meirdeaph It is a unique build, I will have a lot to say about it. Nothing bad but there is a lot going on with it!

I just watched that video 😀
Nice kit, thanks for showing the parts Brent. Beside the modern mechanical stuff, I like the stickers.
Did I missed the tire sniff🤔

The paint on your first one looks like fancy marble or perfect camouflage. Id loose it if i crashed a leef pile, just kidding it's super smooth 👍
That was a fun one to paint hydro dip
Gotta love that old school style!!!
Definitely have to love a classic look
Chatching up watched 3 on tv already c ya there in 15 hahah.. great kit gunna be another good one for the track.. Should do well..
I am thinking of Black clover 🍀 theme.

I agree and I always end up using the electronics in something even if it's not the kit it came with
nice one
Thank you very much
