Today its time for the fourth episode of our series: Tutorials. In Today's episode we're taking a look at How to Kill G.55's, i've heard a lot of ppl complaining about them and calling them OP, this is not the case and there are definitive things you can do to defeat them. Hope this helps :)

Hey guys, got a tutorial for you today on how to Kill G.55's and defeat the italian/german teams. I've heard too much about OP this and OP that, and seen too many ppl showing a defeatist attitude when fased with a G55 filled team. So i jumped into a few 4.0 ish planes of nations facing them to show its not difficult. Hope it helps, let me know what you think :) Do like, comment and subscribe. It helps a lot :)

Jengar, thank you, thank you, thank you and thank you again for this video. I konw how litle time you have but could you make a video vith title "How not to fly vs Italy/Germany" :-)))) and show how in average game 40% of playes fly too low if flying on grass level can be call too low (yes you P-51 F6F and other mostly USA aircrafts pilots) spits hawe some chanse this low Yaks too La not so much, but you get my drift.

Alternatively, a follow-up with a bit more focus on the Americans might be nice. The P-47 footage in this video just mostly had fights against the Germans and one kill on a G.55 Serie 1 (which doesn't perform as well as the G.55S due to being heavier) that had just taken off from an airbase. Felt that didn't really reveal anything helpful beyond the general advice you were giving at the same time. ^^; Still, good video. We need more experienced folks like yourself to make these sorts of videos. :D

yeah, its tough for japan and its br's, but still many americans try to turnfight them, which is in turn the reason why the japanese br's are so high.
Thank you so much for making this video! more people need to know that the G.55S isn't OP, it's good, for sure, but it's certainly not invincible.
I feel as though people are calling it OP simply because they're fighting a LOT of them lately and it's more than likely the only thing they're being killed by. Also a very good point about paying customers likely being higher-skilled pilots in general.

I took your advice about aiming and it has really helped. I've also been working pretty hard to improve my energy fighting skills, using mostly your videos as examples. As I've begun to improve, I've noticed a change in the way I play. I used to avoid fighters and try to concentrate on bombers, which I viewed as easier to fight. I especially dreaded 109s, Spitfires and Mustangs. Lately I've been hunting them down 1st and winning (even when it's 2 on 1 against me) about half of the time. Thanks for these excellent videos. Each and every one is a tutorial, if watched carefully.

So happy about this video. Like I said before, people are very salty about the Italian planes. None sense! I always check the levels of my team members and enemys. German teams are filled with veterans. I decided to take out the planes I thought were best to compete the g55s. The spitfire IX, the P51 D30 and my favourite the P47 N15 had no problems dealing with it.
Very good initiative to make that video. Hope it gets shared and tons of likes too!

Ivar Forkbeard I agree! 4.7 at most! It is so hard killing a G55 in 4.3
I feel 4.3 is fine, it could be 4.7 at the maximum. Although its already facing the early griffon spits then, which will eat it alive. 5.0 is already too much.

Nice flying mate. I think that this problem has started to shift all ready. The feels like axis teams are starting to collapse as new players are either thinking that this aircraft will make them better, or they are the trying to get jets ASAP. Zhe great players have probably already finished researching this tree. Cheers südo

Did you read my long message in the Forums I published today? It was addressing the fact You Tube commentators do not teach people how to fly their plane or how to counter other planes. I am very happy to see you are teaching players how to counter the G55. This is what You Tubers should be doing - TEACHING and not sniveling about how OP a plane is simply because they themselves have no idea how to fly their plane or how to counter another plane. Good work. Now if we could only get the members of your squadron to stop being spineless cowards in a game.

Couple of point to support your opinion:
1. Not many people have access to the italian tree; I can see it for myself- I dont know how it is to fly a G55, therefore its weaknesses are only my guess.
2. Axis teams usually have a lot less bombers than allies. In my experience they usually have 2+ fighters advantage.
That being said, the italian planes are truly dangerous machines and its a pleasure to shot those down. I agree, Gaijin did a good job here :).

The only reason people think these are OP is because the people who pre-ordered the G.55s are 90% WT veterans and good pilots. If the same pilots flew out 109 G-2's the match results would be exactly the same. The problem isn't the plane, it's just that everyone who is flying them out is more often than not a level 100 and they would destroy the other team regardless of what plane they are using.

Very helpful video, but i still have one problem: when i face a G55 in my spitfire, i'm pretty sure i could theoretically outturn them but everytime i almost close on them in the turn my Pilot (almost) passes out and i have to lessen the turn, so we end up flying in circles until Team mates arrive. What would be your advice for such Situations?
creepy_schnitzi online maybe try vertical turns or slow them down by pulling down on the throttle as they turn less well below about 400km/p
About passing out... Did you Max out the Crew's skill G-Tolerance and stamina?

I only have a half trained Crew btw but I focused on g-toleration and stamina and purchased that "+3 for everything"

Finaly a helthy perspective on Italian. Thanks Jengar for puting my thouts in this video, if i head time and wil :-))))) I would do the same video. Yes the good pilots fly G55-s and that help a lot to win but the whey the other side pley is biger part of problem and bomber spam do not help them too. I head a masacer over norwhey when USA\brit team was made of 4 B-25 4 PBJ few fireflys and 3 fighters ooooo boy was it fast one, but funny thing was that enemy was (how to sey) ready for doom game and they take it like a man with lot of sarcastic/funny coments.
That game sounds like it was a funny one hehe ;) its fun when you have ppl on the other side that understand why they lost and can have some fun about it.
Sometimes I think Jengar is so highly skilled that he can shot down G-55s with He-51 biplanes or even P-26 Peashooters ...

How is G.55 series's turning rate? It looks they are better then Bf 109G-2. But I don't think they are better then spitfire IX and Griffon spitfires..
spitfire Mk IX will outturn it at medium to low speeds, but the G.55 can surprise a lot of pilots with its maneuverability, the griffons are less maneuverable as the IX and are much easier to outmaneuver in the G55 then the IX.
what about doing some RB with low tier italian planes? like the g50s or the MC200s, Ba65 and so on...

How do you tell if a pilot is an ace? And how do you tell if a pilot is noob, maybe he only got 2 kills in a match? Does that makes him a noob?
you can look at the player card
a 1to1 KD is about avarage. below that is sub par, above that is better than avarage ;)

G.55 feels like sturdier Zeroes, nothing more.
i dunno, feels more like a more maneuverabe bf 109 to me sometimes.

Imho the only planes that are OP in WT are those with broken FM (XP-55 troll a year half ago anyone?), which is becoming rare with gaijin ironing out FM. Only problem with tiering gives the "OP" cries. That said I wont stop typing "(plane) 2op, gaijin pls nerf" in a good match hehehe

I kill a lot of g. 55 and bf-109s in arcade. The strategy I use is go head on with J7w1 and shoot a lot of 30mm and curb away because one thing I notice is I have 4 seconds to get away from bf-109 in just 0.60KM away from it. My 30 mm is one of the best 30 mm in the game a d it'll reach him first before he can get me. Also if I fail a d manage to hit him. I run I go away fast as I can by diving in a 50° angle and hope it doesn't catch me
First thing having your first example be in a Russian Premium isn't a wonderful example I'm sure I do not need to explain and secondly the two others P47 and typhoon in positions of altitude advantage leaves me heavily skeptical. I was flying my typhoon today and every time I encountered one of those G55S one bullet was enough to set me completely ablaze (despite my best efforts for vertical maneuvers.
Maybe things have changed since the Regia update). Ironically enough the only times I actually managed to get a kill on those things was doing head on (something I rarely do to begin with) resulting in the obvious trade.
Furthermore in my game I have been encountering a lot of other players baffled as to how to take on these UFO's, it's not even defeatist attitude. We want to beat them but for some their guns take us out before we can do anything.

I have had a C202 and 205 out scissor me in a spitfire on multiple occasions. I promise you they're over performing.
their good, but i dont see the over performance. I flew a lot of spits lately and the italian planes i faced i could beat, although a g.56 did shoot me down in one of my matches. I mean, against those times you died in a scissors against them you have also won fights right?
So far, maybe once or twice. The only time I have ever won a fight against an Italian plane is when the pliot was completely incompetent, or if I happen to have the altitude advantage (which almost never happens) and my guns don't let me down on the first pass.
Ever consider that you are simply a better pilot than those guys and if the skill set was even, they'd be destroying you due to their superior aircraft? And all the complaining about Italian OPness is justified but you're just above it and unaware of how difficult it would be for anyone else?
i try to take that in consideration with everything i review, you can be asured that giving my opinion i have taken this into consideration already. The thing is that in certain situations the G55 is superior to the p-47, but in other situations the p-47 is superior. The only thing ppl need to do when flying any kid of plane is to be in the positive situations for the particular plane their flying. The G55 is no exception, its strong here, but its weak there. Thus not OP.
Alternate question while we're on the subject of positive situations: Have you tried the two P-61s before? They are my favorite aircraft of WWII but I find myself unable to find a place where I am not at a disadvantage.
If I dive in on an enemy, the controls get very sluggish and aiming is extremely difficult.
I've been told to avoid head to head fights with it as the crew is supposedly uncommonly vulnerable. But if I turn away from a head to head fight, my inferior agility will mean I am never going to get them in my crosshairs again.
It's a very tricky plane I've chosen. Makes me wish I was a Spitfire fan instead.
head ons if argueably the only thing the p-61 is good at next to groundpounding. Dont avoid headons in it and become a gunnery expert if you insist on flying it. In RB its crap for anything other then short groundpounding runs, expect to get shot down a lot though. In AB i've found the plane better able to handle itself though. i have some reviews up on the different models :)

jengar, don't u think that it's weird that the F6f had about 17-18m/s climb rate irl, but only 12m/s in war thunder??? I mean, that explains why it is not performing like it should... Why is war thunder just nerving american planes... And 51 should be able to outturn a 109 in a high speed dogfight but it can't... And now that they have added the OP G55 how on earth are we gonna compete...?

It's not the premium that is overpowered its the goddamn F-84G with a airspawn and fastest speed out of a any 7.0-8.0 Jet tiered at 7.3. It's overpowered as shit and ruins games almost as bad as airspawn b-29 rushing and ending the game in five minutes. 7.0 jets is FUCKED right now.
I dont have that one yet, will take a look asap. But i highly doubt it is impossible to kill, there's soo many good planes at 7.0, its one of the most balanced br's.
Trust me man. It's near impossible to kill if the person using it knows what they are doing. Me and my friends have 10:1 kill death ratios with the thing. And half of our deaths are from wing rips being stock, not even being shot down. It's easily a 8.0 plane. Because of it's airspawn it can get to 500 km/h at 5000m before half the people are even off the runway.
well, i'm two planes away from being able to research it, so it'll be a while ;)
they are overpowered, there is nothing you can do against them. this tutorial doesnt work
hehe, the tutorial shows that it does work, i think you just need some more practice against them. Use the planes to their strenghts, maybe watch my other tutorials to work on improving your skills! or maybe you're just trolling, thats also possible ;)
Paying costumer? I have to pay twice . I have to have a Xbox live subscription and warthunder premium to play this game . Not to mention you guys are playing this with a mouse and I'm still better than most of you . Pick up a controller and then come talk to me .
