500 student nurses have just qualified in my area there are 12 jobs to go for because overseas nurses have been given all the jobs.nothing against the overseas nurses but this is bonkers a waste of money and really unfair on the students who’ve just paid for all their training
I worked for 37 years in the NHS,it needs changing to a new system copied from a system that work's. At last someone is talking about changing the NHS, my experience of working in the system was like a slow turning wheel in cold treacle going backwards, if only people would wake up and stop trying to protect a broken wheel. You have my vote, Richard. The main parties are so out of touch and have nothing to offer.
An instant pay rise could be given to all staff just by getting ride of car parking fees. What people dont realise is every time a pay rise is given car parking fees go up for staff!
Private healthcare companies were given large amounts of money during the Covid Pandemic, by the Government. How was that money used and did it alleviate the restrictions in NHS treatment?
Sounds fine until about 1:55. Complicating income tax on a temporary basis isn't the best solution. It involves legislation and breaks the whole system in 3 years time. They could adjust the remit of the pay review body (their outcome is only as independent as their remit) and provide the funding required to meet the new remit. Emergency operations already run 24/7, but if you want to retain surgeons and treat patients well you may not want to run routine surgery 24/7 too. It may be better to improve the infrastructure instead.
The NHS was at record efficacy under the last labour government Sadly i don't think that will ever happen again. Private health does not help the NHS. Its the same surgeons doing the ops.. there is only a certain number of them..
Some one needs to write up a list of how our country is run and funded. Start off by telling us how we raise the billions of pounds to send to help other countries. I though all the money colected in taxes was to run our own club. Britain. Not keep the rest of the under developed countries. Country's that we should stop breading as they are too many and can't get by without help.
Get rid of the layers of management/consultants. Not wanted or needed. More GPs, on a 6 day Rosta will significantly decrease foot fall at EDs. A secondary route to becoming a DR without borrowing the earth to go to a selective university such as extended on the job training. Taking certain drug licences back under government control/manufacture.
Whether you like Reform or not, I think we can all agree that the UK desperately needs a change from the usual ruling parties.
We don't need to replace them for something worse.

The NHS is terrible mate. It can’t go on how it is.
❤ Reform 🇬🇧
The only party so far providing any practical, common-sense and workable solutions while tryingvto keep NHS staff on board... Reform UK have my vote.
Just be careful we dont end up with an American system

Even more urgent is the state of Social Care.
and where do we get the staff for it - Tice campaigned to basically ruin it with Brexit - he is as bad as the rest
Lib dems have some good social care policies
Will they actually give us decent pay rises because, quite frankly, you can't retain staffing by continuing to devalue their work.
JUST VOTE REFORM. OR DON'T VOTE ATALL
More word salad

That’s way too much common sense! they’ll never go for it sadly!!
Don't pay in don't get nothing simple 👍
Lots of talk but didn't hear anything about where the money is meant to come from 🤔
it's less about pumping money into it and more about structure.
The NHS has plenty of money, its just woefully mismanaged with out of control spending.
The lefty mirror cut the clip short from how he will fund the nhs because they don’t want a common sense party in number 10 shame on you mirror
