If you want to see a low budget film that works, this is the one. There are some humorous moments that are skillfully accomplished. A job well done say I!

First fifteen minutes I was dropping off, not sure where this story was leading, then suddenly I got hooked....
This turns out to be a quirky movie... And I like quirky.... Quirky and cute.
I'm glad I stayed to the finale.
She is a very good actress. Cara captivated me… Jonah was suited for the part. I was drawn right into the story. No TV 45 years, last movie five years ago. I totally enjoy this!

this movie is from 2004. I sincerely hope Cara Buono had a vibrant, fulfilling career for the last 20 years. What an absolutely lovely creature to behold. Right up there with Marissa Tomei. Great little movie. Bravo to ALL involved.

Very fun lighthearted movie. Interesting (and sad) to see the grocery store prices shown on signs in the store-- inflation is our true invasion.
Does no one else notice that she is exactly like Marisa Tomei, both in her Italian American accent AND tenor, but more-so in her look? I literally thought it was her, but then I realized it couldn't be because of the overall aesthetic of the movie. (but I checked anyway). And that this is all great?

Not what i expected..its worth the watch✔️nice family movie
Excellent film !
The only problem was in the soundtrack. Music / background sound level was very often out of balance with the conversation. It happened mostly in the first 20 minutes. Sound mix mishap. (I'm not talking about music choice, I'm talking about the technical flaws in balancing the sound levels. SOME moments, the conversation got near to incomprehensible, due to those tech errors)

Utterly charming 💚
Quite a fun movie, earthy and some corny trekky stuff thrown in. Alien was cool. Even though we don't come from the stars, but from dust, with life breathed in, this was really done well and worth watching.

@@zzausel , Because it's a leap of faith, if the normal humans can demonstrate an act of selflessness, and save others with no reward, then they don't have to wipe out humanity. It's a test by the so called "aliens" to see if Earth is worth saving.
What a wonderfully light, uplifting movie about life on earth, about following your intuition and your heart, and not to mention - correcting an extraterrestrial mistake❣🤗

I know this story. And it's not (completely) fantasy. It really happened to a woman in New York.
Don't know NY so well, never been there. But the event was in Manhatten if i'm not mistaking, that was where the couple with children lived.
