- Near Birmingham Alabama, a redneck in a compensation truck dishes out some justice on a soccer mom who doesnt understand that the left lane is for passing. Rolls Coal all over her.
It doesn't matter what speed you're driving. It doesn't matter if there's traffic around you or not. If you're not passing another vehicle, stay out of the passing lane. Here's the important part: That applies to everyone, including people who drive sedans, trucks of all sizes, and SUV's.

@@NoName-tb8uz I see your point, a lot of people are under the assumption that they can only pass doing the speed limit. This is true from a legal standpoint. But... if you are passing and see a vehicle come up behind you, you should get over if it is safe and allow that car to go by. Me personally, If I was in the middle of passing someone and I had a vehicle fly up behind me, I'm going to accelerate and get to the right ASAP instead of passing very slowly.
Now hold on there, if there's no one around you, it doesn't matter. A lot of roads are really shitty but only on the right side. Sorry but I'm wearing down my car if I'm not blocking anyone. Be mad at your highway department, not me. To be clear though I never go side by side, if I am even close to going the same speed as the right lane I speed up or slow down and move over.

I am traveling at highway speed plus five in center lane , I need to pass ,but there is a leftlane hog running at speed or under, I pass on right with pre loaded qt container of washed pea stone , 5 -8 lengths ahead of you in the left lane, I had to pass on right , I drop the pea stone out of right side window , you drive thru 150 - 250 pea stone windshield turns white , radiator get a few , parking lites and head lites and paint are trashed , seee ya 😀

Yep, this is why when make a pass, I'm 100% committed to the pass. Creeping up and slowly passing like a sane person usually gets this kind of response. Foot to the floor and get out in front ASAP before they figure out what is going on.

People feel entitled to drive in the left lane and block traffic up because they are driving the speed limit. I would love to see the police to take this more seriously and start ticketing drivers for impeding traffic and aggressive driving. If people would show a little courteously on the roads that would stop a majority of the tailgating and such which as seen can be equally as bad. I have lived in the DFW area for 20 years now, each year this gets more and more prevalent.

Best way to deal with a lefty is once you get ahead, get in the left lane and slow down in front of them until they get out of the left lane. Do not do this in congested areas.

People just make up shit at this point. Speed limit is fluid and dictated by the flow of traffic in The USA. Right lane is for traffic. ALL OTHER LANES ARE FOR PASSING. There is no cruising lane, that's all nonsense. Keep right EXCEPT to pass, and there are no exceptions.

Watch some videos of AutoBahn traffic, it's a symphony in traffic harmony. That's why they have no speed limits, yet very few accidents: all cars in a lane have low relative velocity, and all cars in different lanes have high relative velocity.

I just went through an ungodly temptation to ruin my life. I was on pkwy going 80 when a fool in an old charger got on and deliberately blocked the left lane. They matched their speed up with a chevy car and ran dead even with them for like 5 miles. My exit finally came up, but it was all I could do to keep from ramming the idiot or passing on the shoulder.
The truck then did the same thing and stayed in the passing lane. The red truck got back in the middle lane.
No brake check, just a snooter of carbon. Perfect

Saw this on DDSTC, immediately recognized I-459. Sadly this is rampant, especially on two lane interstates like I-65.
That white pickup is not blameless either. By camping in the middle instead moving over to the right, he effectively reduced a three-lane road to two lanes.
unfortunately, I travel this very stretch of road regularly. I don't know which is worse, 459 around Birmingham or ANY interstate in east TN
Another good way to teach them is when you manage to get in front of them, and if there are no other cars in the left lane, you get in front and then slow waaayy down and then speed up when they try to pass.

The lady didnt have an opportunity to move to middle lane. There was a vehicle just to her right driving at same speed. The bully who blew smoke was tailgating her. She was boxed in, then the vehicle in middle lane speeds up. The bully immediately moves to the right and overtakes her and gets into left lane and blows smoke.
When you're in the left lane you speed up and go back to the middle it's common sense. Especially when you have someone tailgating you.

I know that very stretch of interstate. I used to have to drive it every day back and forth to work. And, there are RECORD NUMBERS of soccer moms in their SUV's clogging up the left lane, all up and down I-459 there (and I-65), making for very unsafe and very inefficient driving situations.

I'm not sure why people think rolling coal is some sort of punishment. I had some idiot in a truck like that in front of me a few years ago at a red light and he started chit-chatting with a pan-handler right as the light turned green. I honked lightly to get his attention as the cars in front of him all had cleared out and he was still jab-jawing, but he kept talking, so I honked a few more times and then he jerks forward and starts rolling coal. Jokes on him - I actually like the smell of diesel fumes. Reminds me of school field trips, lol! So anyway, I simply passed him and then at the next light he pulls up beside me and starts yelling at me (even though there was about 200 feet of road ahead of him still in his lane - so he once again was impeding traffic). I honestly didn't understand a word he said because I had the radio on and my windows up. I simply refused to look at him or give any acknowledgement of his presence, so he gave up after about 15 seconds and drove on. People have lost their damn minds!

Exactly right. It's actually better driving philosophy to use the left lane as you please, so long as you move over for faster traffic, because doing so means you understand the spirit of the the rule. I cruise casually in the left lane to pass slower traffic (because so often the slower traffic insists on occupying more lanes than necessary) and gladly move over when I spot faster traffic approaching in my mirror.
And then the cammer fucking does it, too!

UhRageQuit It doesn’t matter if you’re the only one on the entire highway/interstate. If you’re not passing or moving over for slower/stopped vehicles, you stay out of the left lane. The right lane(s) are for cruising, not the left lane. Period

I see a lot wrong with all 3 drivers. The only one that did it right was the white truck in the center lane . He maintained his speed and when he could got to the right and away from everyone.

This is a good tip someone gave me once, I used to drive a mediun size van for work and would go to the city from the countryside a lot. When there is three or more lanes I stay in the middle, this allows me to pass semi's in the outer lane easily and if I need to pass someone in my lane I just pass them in the inner lane and return to the middle lane, I only stay in the inner or outer lanes if my exit is coming up and doing it like that surely has made life a lot easier for me in the past. And when there's only 2 lanes you stay in the outer lane and pass in the inner lane and rerurn back after the pass is done.
The vast majority of these left lane campers think that a speeding person just passed them and they just stay in the lane after your gone.
What you should do is always give them a long hard dose of your bright lights, that is what the lever on the stalk is for I call them passing lights. When this does not work then you pass them on the right and as you go by them give a good 10 seconds of your horn to let them know that they should have pulled to the right.
I just get close behind them - far enough back that I'm not riding on their @#$ but close nonetheless. Then...
I turn on my left (I'm American) turn signal. It actually does work sometimes too!
