Thank you, Sarah! This has been the best video that I've watched to demonstrate several modifications. So very useful! Kudos!

That tittle doesn’t do justice to how informative this video is. I’ve been looking for a tutorial on the rappel extension for a while. Thank you!!

Like the double loops. Seems like those loops could be handy for a rap or anchoring your belay so you could help a partner who was injured.
BTW, there are always going to be people like "Frodo". Haters gonna hate.

Sarah, how do the union with an eight and an overhand compare safety-wise (rappel extension version)? PS: great video, thanks for making it!!

There are a ton of ways we could pick apart the differences but the bottom line is that they are both strong enough and the figure eight takes up more material which could be useful if you're wanting to shorten it for any reason.

😂 Thanks for watching. This was taught as a part of an online climbing self rescue course by an AMGA certified Rock Guide and myself an AMGA trained rock guide and certified single pitch instructor. Can you please be more specific and constructive with your feedback? I'm happy to join the conversation.
