When I get a new stamp, I have a “ Master Book” I stamp it in. I add the maker , and the date I recieved it and if the stamp has matching dies.
It’s to find out if the stamp works correctly.
Then when I’m looking for inspiration I just look over these Master Books.
I just buy a inexpensive mixed media spiral sketch book from Hobby Lobby and that’s what I use.
I like the mixed media paper because sometimes, I color in the stamped images, to give me a better idea of what they could look like…..and it’s like I have my own coloring book wieh all,these stamped images. The mixed media paper stands up to watercolor , colored pencil and alcohol ink like Copic , better than the regular sketchbook paper.
Inside the cover I write the date the material ok begins and the date it ends.
I paint the cover a neutral color and then add a stamp or stencil and then “ Stamps book 4”
Making these simple books and the information in the has really helped me when I’ve been looking for a stamp I know I have, or I just need some inspiration for a card or journal page idea .
