Like others I hope this track never gets removed from TH-cam. I love Sonic Bloom. So many good moments. A long way from the stately jazz of the Trio Project. We are so blessed.
One of my favorites from back in the day. Keep returning to watch it, in spite of the poor video quality. Clearly the audience was appreciating this performance. Who can resist Hiromi?
In Vancouver this band did a another great version of this. At that show I think Fiuczynski, (by far the most brain melting part of the band) played a little more. Was pretty disappointed in the almost paint by numbers studio version of this on the Hiromi Beyond Standards cd.
The music was not well balanced, as far as amplification goes, at the beginning and at the end. Couldn't hear Hiromi on the small synthesizer. But in the middle, during her solos, I thought it was great--Hiromi enthusiastic and playing brilliantly as usual.
Yeah there's something not right about this. It's a bit of a mess. The overall mix is bad and kind of harsh and distorted, but on top of that the music itself doesn't seem to gel. I like both Hiromi and Jeff Beck (who wrote this piece) but this is just a frantic mistake.
Quentin, I sorta see your point, but I think her by-play with the lead guitarist around three minutes in is really fine stuff -- even if that two-pianos routine is a bit of Hiromi looking a little bit full of herself. I think of it as her version of Miles Davis turning his back on the audience: I mean they're stars, let 'em be azzoles for 45 seconds every now and then, eh?
Pure Joy,homage to Narada Michael Walden and all the greatness of Jeff Beck by amazing Hiromi!

Hiromi- keys, Dave "Fuze" Fiuczynski- guitar, Tony Grey-bass, Martin Valihora-drums. My favorite Hiromi group.
my favorite is anthoni jackson
I loved the group too. I first listened to Hiromi hen this lineup was a trio before Fuze
Hiromi’s improvisational talent and creativity is from another planet, and gives true meaning to the concept of a beautiful mind.

Her Jerry-Mouse-Smile is so cute!
PURE JOY.
I hope this is never deleted from TH-cam.....
I really dig this take on Led Boots. Energetic and original. Kinda how I'd imagine Les Claypool's band would play this song.
Absolutely Fantastic! Master players, all!
RIP Jeff.
Who’s Jeff?
Oh!!! Vibes ✨✨✨🖤
Just fabulous
Hiromi is the baddest Pianist, without a doubt!!
Apart from the monster playing , how good does that Electro 2 sound !
I love anyone who stretches out - Weather Report could, so does Hiromi here .....
the only person that shakes wakeman out
LOVE Hiromi! One of a kind talent with infectious charm and chops. Like this tune, but way off track from the original Jeff Beck tune.
Their tight man.

what concert is this? year?
The innovation of Thelonius Monk combined with the skills of Oscar Petersen. I have yet to hear a superior pianist.
The proper spelling is:
* Thelonious
* Peterson
I think this, slightly looser style suits her more than the tight rhythmic nuances of the Trio Project.
Wonderfully irrepressible.
What year is this? Venue is Japan?
Virtuose

I agree, but the version that was up a few years ago had a much better sound mix. Wonder where it went?
Amazing performance.
But there are no credits, and no publisher's notes.
Who were the other performers. Where and when was this performed?
I wish I knew, im still searching for it after years
That was performed at Space Shower Sweet Love Shower 2008 (Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan).

I'd love to be able to play like a fraction of that mess!
