- In this vlog we are going to Bureta Village in Ovalau Island to buy some Yaqona or Kava for our Kava business as we need to re stock our supply. Bureta is one of the villages we buy from as it is a part of our veiwekani line in the Yavusa Navuti Kava (YN Kava).
When we come to Bureta village we showcase how we buy the grog by weighing the Yaqona (kava) so we can find out how much we have to pay the farmers. After the weighing the farmers invited us for some grog.
After the grog session its back to the village with all the Yaqona as we left Bureta village in the evening.

Ura I was in Levuka in January and I was fortunate enough to be shown the airstrip in Bureta. Ended up drinking kava at the Dr's quarters in the nearby health centre. BTW Josese has a baby laugh 😅😅.

Reminds me of young days at RKS in 1979-1980 while I was in a form 2 students and bringing passengers to Bureta on my fathers boat with an 16HP Evinrude and then crossing over to Nasauvuki to meet my mothers family from Lakeba Master Matai who was a teacher there before heading back to RKS
