I want to build a 26' x 34' workshop with a 6" inch thick perfectly level floor on my property. Slab on grade using 4000# concrete for chip resistance and heavy machinery. I'd also like to have a very smooth, pollished floor like you see in warehouses or home centers. How do I find a contractor in the south Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area that is experienced in pouring such a slab and that will take on such a small job? Thanks On a side note: Most of the slabs I've seen in new home construction including my own, have low and high spots including in my garage. I can't even drop a hammer on my garage floor without it chipping the concrete.
guy holding laser eye needs to hold it more level also it is impossible to get a super flat if you have to apply dry shake (hardener) I'm sure you have a nice fairly flat floor but it cant qualify as a super flat sorry. what numbers did you come up with after flatness readings

Guy checking laser screed is set at right height at the start isn’t even holding the laser height stick plumb, he tells the operator 2 millimetres up when his height stick is out of plumb by about 2 millimeters. Guy needs a spirit level bubble on his height stick
Hi, Thanks for your comment. Actully we have applied surface hardner on the floor, for that and floor undulation measuring purpose; we walked through the wet floor.

Fellows wherez your mask? Screw covid it wont work but when spreading that powder it will. Lol Great work.

This slab will be used for VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) equipment movement. This slab is basically for Warehouse store Floors.. allenface-europe.com/superflat-VNA-warehouse-floors -from this link you can have some idea about this..
Mark Counts. This is probably a defined isle way floor. They only measure the isles for the lift trucks. Isles probably have a Fmin #. The profilograph is setup to match the measurements of the lift truck to make sure the floor is in spec in any given spot where the lift maybe in the isle. So what is checked is the transverse and longitudinal values of the isle way. Nice looking floor by the way.

Sorry but that slab isn't level! Not by any stretch of your imagination. (See 38:50 onwards) Otherwise you wouldn't see puddles of curing compound. Water finds it's own level and yours is all over the place. Is that why we don't see anyone doing a level check, after floating and before the compound application?
Yikes 9” slump is absolutely terrible even with fly ash and being a flowable mix with fibers, even a high range mix design typically won’t call for that high of a slump, that’s terrible. Good luck on those breaks
Then again the testing procedure for slump was done wrong, he was tamping the first layer and hitting the bottom of the slump cone, plus he only did a maybe 3 second pull which doesn’t constitute a proper slump test, he did do the test within 2 min 30 secs, so at least he did one thing right.

There were expansion joints around 10m distance. No control joints were there by saw cut after concrete get hard.
