I love how you are featuring different people and neighborhoods! Also, Tyra’s mix of World Market, vintage, and indie brands meshing cohesively verifies her editorial eye 👁
I read that eloquent is a back handed compliment towards minorities cause white people think we don't know how to speak properly. and now this compliment is ruined for me cause they do give it to me often
@@lotusssypringa I'm sorry you feel that way but eloquence is the highest form of a compliment for me. I only give it to people who are truly eloquent, which has nothing to do with their race. there are many white people who are extremely non eloquent, and even the whitest valley girl can sound very annoying to me with their sentences going up, etc. but Tyra, simply is a beautiful speaker. her words are clear and musical and that's a talent which not many people have, not even white people.

I really love Tyra's personality and her appreciation for black American history and culture! You can tell that she is educated and very classy!💅🏾👍🏿👌🏿 God Bless her!
I admire people that live in NYC, I miss visiting there. Tyra has a cool personal style and it is reflected with her living space as well, 60’s mod, boho, unique. I love her vanity mirror like a giant cloud. Sweet finds of that free mirror and the Asian crane divider wall. Beautifully shot as well. 🔥🔥🔥
thank you for adding so many facts!! Learning about the culture and the community in each neighborhood adds so much richness and im glad you're highlighting all of these places and not just the typical tourist or upscale places.
I really respect that you take the time To acknowledge the history of the neighborhoods & how much change/gentrification these places have gone through.
Holy shit Bed Stuy has changed. I live in Chicago but my dad used to show me pictures and tell stories of Bed Stuy of when he used to live there. A lot of his friends got murdered so he really only has 2 or 3 friends from childhood. It was so run down and grimey during the days of the crack epidemic. Nobody who wasn’t from Bed Stuy wouldn’t dare step foot in there unless you wanted to get robbed. In 1990, there was a robbery in New York on average of every 10 minutes. It’s good to see that Bed Stuy and New York in general has seen a huge drop in crime and is developing

That apartment is huge, bright and open. She really lucked out on finding the mirror and room divider on the street. NYers are notorious for tossing valuable items out on the street. When I lived in the Bronx, I found a nice solid wood dresser on the sidewalk, a block from where I lived. I was pregnant at the time, and called my son's father to come help me get it home.
