@@leopoldwhylie5076 I was so far in the game as the strength dual greatswords. Just kept pumping stats into vigor, endurance and strength. Fextralife posts their update and they made it holy x strength for the buffs

I saw some people saying the game isn't as in depth as Niohs combat and stats and honestly I'm fine with that. I like how it's a bit more easy to get into. I remember playing Nioh 1 and has absolutely no idea wtf I was doing, I learned a bit with Nioh 2 but I definitely like this "simple" combat and stats 😅 thanks for the builds yet again!
To each their own, it's why team ninja took away alot of the mechanics from nioh so the game could be more accessible. I prefer the mechanics of nioh 2 because it allows for More build diversity. This game lacks in that as the builds aren't really impactful and learning parry is more beneficial than trying to brute force
So pumped to see what builds you put out! I know this game does not have the same kind of build variety as Elden Ring but I think there are a ton of cool ways to customize and build a character in this game so will be cool to see what you guys come up with! For my first build I am going pure fire with maybe a little in wood and earth for defense.

I like the concept of this build but one thing I personally changed was lowering my Wood Virtue then what you have stated in the video. And getting my Fire Virtue up to 30 in order to use Overpower burst rather then Amplify Damage. It does cost more Spirit consumption but provides better defense to metal in which Wood is weak to but thanks for the in depth video. 👍
this is basically the build i choose to begin by myself but now i know how to give it the fextra touch it needs :) love u guys

Not a fan of heavy armors but do like the spear so kept the boldness armor from the set but I’m just getting to area 5 . I’m water/wood/earth

Where can i get the feathered cavalry bow (or any gear with flag detection)? I can't find that bow anywhere.
You have 8 wizardry slots(4+4), just change with R2+L2. This greatly open up builds, because you can use 4 buffs and 4 spells from different elements.
In early stages, before you can respec atributes, the Best is to option is focus in wood to 12 to get eletric weapon "Life steal" and "spirit steal" + more time for buffs and use a few points in other status Just enough o get more buffs. With 4 Earth you get damage negate and flinch negate and a buff that add stone status o deflect( apply heavyness that do more spirit damage . Great for boss), a few points in metal give some more damage resistente debuff(33% negate) and damage up(%?) debuff.
i have had extreme difficulty building this because there's no concrete build on your wiki and it all links back to this video with pieces spaced out in a very frustrating way
I made almost this exact build without looking up. The only difference is that I use a double sword that has 2 weapon arts that involve mobility
Hey does anyone know how to get the armor set Fextra is using. I wanna try this build out but I don't seem to have hang dao unlocked even though I beat the game.
@fextralife how do you increase embedment % like your soear damage says 2.9% but when i try to embed mine only has 2.1%

Why not used the armor that came with the weapon again and just swap the earth bonus to electric bonus damage?
the spear you are using scales A in water and earth and C- in wood but you have all your points in wood... also you need around 10 points in metal to sustain your focus you build up!
Hes too low of level for the Metal, and you don’t need sustain when your playing a tank build because you should be constantly in combat. But I agree id spec more into Earth and less into wood for the weapon

Thats what I was looking at. Wouldn't it be more benificial to go Earth main and just enough into wood for healing spells?

Invert points in Earth, Water and Wood.
The build sounds cool but you use a ton of buffs that only last a fee seconds. I get some being situational like the heal if your low on health but why have 2 (the divine beast recovery and the fire dps increase) buffs when typically you can only activate one in the flow of battle? Unless you just spam buffs, use 1 maybe 2 attacks and then have to rebuff. Just sounds clunky.
the divine beast buff is the only one that needs go be on permanently. from what i can tell, amp damage is pretty much only used to buff the stance break attack
Question, considering I’m going for a build like this with the lie and share of my points being in wood… I don’t use a secondary weapon… but is it important that my secondary scales with wood?? Or does it not matter as I don’t use it
I believe not, since secondary weapon is for the stat stick. correct me if im wrong though

Why exactly is level 72 mentioned as the final level?
At least in Nioh there wasn't really a level matchmaking, if I remember correctly, so your level was pretty irrelevant. Is this different in Wo Long? Should I stop at level 72 for optimal co-op?
I would've otherwise gone to 78 at least to get 40 in two Virtues, 98 for 50.
why fire attribute? isnt ur weapon scale with earth?

Yeah earth is 100% better, heavy is broken in this game

Arent you supposed to be under 70% weight?
You can be at < 70% for mid movement. He's gone with a slower tank but, as mentioned, is making up for it with a fast weapon art. Mid vs heavy movement in this game is not as critical as in Fromsoft's games as deflection is the key mechanic and you'll dodge less as a tank.
100 makes you fat roll. Not 70
This weapon is stupid op to begin with so yeah, build not required lol

Curios about the toxic build
too many spoilers for bosses...
i don't get it, it's a wood build but you rather take a spear with E- scaling into wood when you could just take a spear with A scaling, there is no way that this weapon art is so important to throw scaling completely out the window for it? Surely, if you spec mainly into wood, a weapon with A scaling into wood is going to do tons and tons more damage than a weapon with E- scaling?
I run a wood build and was using the wooden stick. Switched to the spear with the R1 square weapon art and ended up better in dps and they weapon art is very good chasing targets.
A mage build please for the noobs in the game
