    • @divine6104
      @divine6104 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      My guess: becus there are more blitz players than classical players. Think of it like this: if you drop 100 balls on the floor, the chances that one of the balls will go far, far away is much higher than if you were to drop 50 balls on the floor. Similarly, if you had 500,000 active players, the chances that someone would have a massive elo is much higher than if you had 400,000 players.
      If ur interested to learn more, look up the normal distribution (crash course statistics i think has a decent video on this).

      Like. Look at the line up on the right side of the brackets. Hikaru, Ian, Firouzja and Caruana literally are the 4 favoured players to win. Make a poll for each of their matches and they'd all take more than 90% of the votes. And unsurprisingly they all won their matches. If you really tell yourself that this is the result of pure rng making the brackets, then you simply are lying to yourself.
      All these people are top players and there are no easy matches yes, but some players are clearly still better. The match results speak for themselves.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that there was any cheating in these games. And yet here he is destroying one of the top players in the world. So I think Antonio is quite right to feature his games. We should remain vigilant but it is wrong to condemn him forever for a youthful misdeed. He has also been accused of cheating when perhaps he wasn't. Do you think he's cheating in every game? What about these two games? In my day cheating was a very strong accusation, never to be made lightly. I trust you can back up your accusations with facts.

      @@universalplayz7496 Unproven accusations?
      Does anybody have definitive proof that Hans cheated when he was 12? When he was 16? No. We don't.
      Nevertheless, Hans DID cheat when he was 12, and 16. He admitted it himself... eventually. Not because he had a sudden attack of conscience, but because he was accused repeatedly.
      The only proof we'll ever have, is if Hans comes clean again - which is unlikely given that Hans has shown his morality with regard to cheating. And the fact he cheated online, jist tells me he's a little eeasel that will cheat as long as he thinks he can get away with it, and getting away with it OTB is far more difficult than online. Be clear, there is NO moral difference to Hans between cheating online vs over the board.

    I hope Niemann and Carlsen end up in the semi-finals and for Niemann to smoke him... The reason is that Carlsen lost was because he choked, OVER THE BOARD. Then instead of being a man and admitting defeat, he threw a tantrum, like a spoiled child, and accused Niemann of cheating. Analysis told us that Carlsen made multiple mistakes (sub-optimal moves, not blunders) in that game. It happens even to greats like Morphy, Capablanca, and Fischer. FWIW, the FULL PROBE SHOWED NEIMANN DID NOT CHEAT. Sure, when he was 12 and again at 16, he cheated in about 40 games on-line. That's all.
