Yamaha and Honda are the two most reliable quads out there. I have a 2005 450 Kodiak that gets used to pull a trailer in the woods, pull a big home built lawn roller, and many other things. I've replaced the voltage regulator, tires, and serviced it regularly. It is still running the original belt. You wont be disappointed.
I am a farrier and a blacksmith I work steel a lot, but I would say a good ole 14" abrasive chop saw should do the trick. Can cut accurate angles with it and cut quickly and efficiently. A lot faster than a angle grinder. Just my 2 cents! Signing out from Eastman WI here! Keep up the great work guys!!
Great job on that front rack .it's hard to find a good used wheeler knowing someone who had it is greats we had dairy farm and also sold snowmobiles and atv its hard to find a nice wheeler you purchased
If your having idling problems check or change the carburetor intake manifold, it maybe sucking extra air, thank you for the video's, God bless and have a great day
Milwaukee portable band saw is my go to, titanium plazma cutter from harbor freight works really well. When my Miller welder died i bought the Valcan Omini pro 220 when they first came out and it works really well. Again Harbor freight, lol.
My two favorite tools for cutting metal are the Eastwood Mini Metal saw, and I really like the chop saw I have for medium size material. And for plate or bigger stuff, I have a Amazon plasma cutter. It's a BestArc.
What a great machine to add to your line of equipment at Gierok Farms. The fabrication you have done will add value and use to your new to you ATV. Thanks for sharing another great video. I enjoyed watching.
My experience with Yamaha equipment has always been excellent, In my opinion you made an excellent choice to buy that Yammy. Yamaha has been around FAR longer than Honda making great equipment for over 100 years. I've also owned Honda equipment of many sorts and find them good as well, I just find Yamaha to be a wee-bit better made.
Nice looking 4 wheeler. I have a 1995 Kawasaki mule 500 2 wheel drive that my dad had bought . Came really handy on the farm from hauling some hay bales, carrying a calf from the pasture, fencing projects, an hauled our rototiller with my tools can of gas an went to my grandparents house that lived half mile away, an ride around the farm. Nowadays it has an easy life hauling grass clippings a water cans .
Nice job! Cutting small sections: angle grinder or horizontal band saw. Bigger sections: band saw (horizontal or vertical). They are pretty cheap these days (Don't know in the US tho). Learn to apply the proper feeding and band speeds and you're ok for years. Don't be afraid to use bigger teeth for faster working, less saw wear and less wining noise. I use 6-8 teeth per inch for tubular steel. 4-6 for full steel bars 1/2 to 2 inch thickness. 2-3 tpi for eveyting else. Golden rule is to have at least 3 teeth in contact with the steel for full material but less then 25. I tend to choose for 4 to 5 teeth in contact. Speeds usually 20-30 m/min for steel, 60-80 for aluminium. lower feeding when the saw starts stuttering/scraping (teeth gullets are filled up with material), higher speed if the band saw is "whining". I use petroleum for cutting aluminium, cutting oil/cutting fluid for steel. Full material asks for more "flushing". Using too much teeth will bring down feeding because the teeth gullets get filled up with material before they can loose it outside the piece. Bimetal band saws generally are the best buy. I cut 400 mm full steel bars on a 5kW horizontal band saw. General small tubular sections like in the video cost me about 2 seconds to cut. Hydraulic clamping will avoid a lot of headaches with more intricate pieces like castings and such.
Aaron has an inner teenager.... I wonder if i can find mine being almost 60 years old. We use a Miller welder that looks a lot like yours. For the really heavy duty projects we have a big old Lincoln that might be older than me.
Be careful with the sparks around the plastic or fiberglass fenders on the 4wheeler! I have messed up more than one thing with sparks flying all over the place!!!!
When I cut metal I have a chop saw for cutting steel
It looks like its in excellent condition! What a great buy!
Got a 2001 Honda Rancher...indestructible

try a little additive in the fuel such as seafoam, might just be a little gummy in the fuel system
