I cried when you finished your gorgeous wedding dress, and cried again when you had your beautiful bundle! I'm 68 years old and you absolutely inspire me in so many ways! Love you so much!
As a former hospital maternity RN, I want to thank you for your honesty regarding your feelings related this new chapter of your life!! It must be such an overwhelming scary feeling when attending to your crying newborn, when you are also simply new to handling a baby, you've just been through surgery after a labor with complications, and you are still healing yourself. Then we can mention how exhausted women can be after delivery....while dealing with everything else at the same time. It's a lot, and you likely are handling things far better than you think. It's going to take time to adjust to your new lifestyle, and just remember to give yourself grace. Congratulations to both you and your husband on this new blessing in your life together. Your husband's demeanor (being relaxed), is probably a good balance for you! ENJOY this time.... stay hydrated and nourished, and remember....the 'body heals best at rest' (or so says one of the nuns at my nursing school back in 1990!!). 🤭 💕

This just popped up in my feed, and although it's already been 7 months since the arrival of your precious baby boy, I would like to offer my congratulations for becoming a family of three! Many, many blessings to you all.
Be kind to yourself as everyone becomes adjusted to each other. You love the baby before he’s born but it just takes some time to get to know him as an individual. Soon, confusion will turn into utter understanding. Every squeak, gurgle, burp and the dozens of different cries will suddenly become a whole new language you and your husband will understand perfectly.
Congratulations! Thank you for the videos. I'm an Oma now & remember the days of exhaustion & little ones. Now I have time to sit & knit while I watch & enjoy your videos. There is time in life for all things that are meant to be. Time for the little one, time for knitting and love and life. Blessings to you and your family.

You had a lot to catch up with! :) I did too. Came for the knitting but loved the creative photography content as well. And Kika sharing her life with us! Congratulations dear Veronika :)
Somebody w/ talents like yours…..you should never be bored. My mother taught me never to say the word bored.I’m 73 and am never bored. I’m a cross stitcher, embroider and quilter and sewer, so I always have projects to work on. Good luck w/ baby #1. I went 3 weeks over my due date in 1974! Those were the days!
Congratulations to you and Juki. Your life will be so complete and wonderful as every year goes by. So great to finally know your son is here. Enjoy every stage of his life. Hope you will keep sending new knits and hopefully a new book. ❤
I was directed to you. was OB/nursery/NICU nurse in US for a long time, remember struggling to help make birth and recovery special. 34 yrs ago when had son was on bedrest until 31 wks when went in hospital,33 wks had CS,3 days later was discharged with baby in NICU. Only knitting until his discharge to fit 4#13 oz baby. His father left when it got complicated so was 20 yrs til had time for knitting. Life ebbs and flows like tide, ride the changes floating not running to chase. Good luck
God, what good news. It turns out that I haven’t been on the channel for so long, that your baby has already been born.. I sincerely congratulate you and wish you happiness in motherhood..🎉🎉🎉🥰🥰🥰🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations mommy! Please take care of yourself and your new family. Don’t worry about us…. We the mothers understand the part of becoming mother…. Give yourself time. Rest. Take care of your boy.. again. Congratulations!
You really had some of that famous “nesting instinct” in the last few days! I’m glad your baby arrived safely and you are ok. Remember: Raising a child is a marathon, not a sprint. One day of parenting disaster will be followed by one of triumph. Hold onto your wins. You got this!
Congratulations Kika 🎉🎉🎉 it’s great to see your maturity in approaching things, new responsibilities, new life.. self understanding in the out loud processing of the emotions.. seems very normal, human.. and your designs are great as ever 🤗
Hello, Kika! I just watched this video again because I miss you, your projects, your city, and your travels. Also, congratulations on your beautiful son. I look forward to your return.
Kika , Well Done ! this is the most exhausting and the most amazing time of your life... your first born. Enjoy it. Wishing you well. Don't worry about not knowing what to do.... we were all the same. You and your hubby will get there .xxx
YEAH❣️❣️ I have been waiting for this video…in fact, I just stopped at 7:18 because I was bursting to tell you how happy I am for you🎉 and, Yuki (sp🙄) and your new baby❤ Congratulations, from South Carolina, USA🌞. I am a fan! You are a lovely, talented young lady and I so enjoy being part of the Kika experience. Love and Best wishes to you all.❣️🥰🌺🌴
Super wonderful mom!!! ❤❤❤ I wish I could be fluent in English to express all my feelings about this vlog and write you all things that came in to my mind!!! I’ll try to do some. You are doing so, so great! I’m very happy to see you taking a little bit (at least) care of yourself! And also, that you are going out sometimes! That’s very positive! For you, specially! Those emotionals and questions you do to yourself are sooooo normal, and I’m again very happy that you talk about those! Because it is a kind of “forbidden” subject to talk about (as we could not feel this, but we feel!!!). But it is what we feel. And that’s ok! That’s ok!!! And whene we born as a mom… It is a big change. But it doesn’t mean that this new life is not good. It’s just different from the life before. And that is ok! My dear, keep taking care about you, given you some “warm” moments. Every mom cames with no book, no instructions on “how to do this, how to do that”… and we are finding our way to do the things. But be sure, to you (repeat this always, always)…. YOU ARE DOING THE BEST YOU CAN. And you are doing amazing!!! Believe me!! I felt this (your energy) from here, from Brazil! A big and warm hug to you! You are SUPER!!!! With love, Renata
thank you for sharing the birth of your baby. The main thing that I gained from having a baby was that I think you become less selfish with your life. Enjoy your babe while this age as they grow up very quickly.
You have a beautiful glow about you. This little wonder of god is so special. Motherhood is a wonderful thing. Nothing in life can compare to a woman giving birth. Lots of blessings.🥰🥰
I had my twin boys 4 days before my birthday. And we celebrate every year together. I love it. Best birthday gift ever. But you’ll see as a mom how much more you’ll think about his birthday than your own, because you’ve gone through the labor and birth and you obviously don’t have these memories of your own. Our children’s seem much more significant.
Thank you so much for bringing us on this journey with you. So amazing to share this with you. I am so incredibly happy for all 3 of you. Your baby is adorable!!❤ You did so great!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 All the stuff your sharing about the baby is very typical and normal, you're doing wonderfully!!
Sounds like you and I had a very similar birth story. You’re reminding me how it took a while for me to realize how scary the birth was…but look at your beautiful boy! You look very grounded and positive. Hugs and well wishes to you all!
“Oh my gosh what have I done” - said by every mother since the dawn of time. And said more than once…..way more. Give yourself grace and time. And down the road, grace, time and forgiveness. Best wishes to you all ❤ I looked at the red cardigan and thought that’s a nice sleeve length for a summer-y cardigan 🤷♀️
Congratulations! He is adorable. Life is different and not 100% your own anymore, but it's so worth it. And one day soon, you won't even remember how you filled your days without him in it.
Congratulations on becoming parents to a sweet little boy. This is a new chapter in your life, enjoy every moment. Work around your own schedule. Work and knitting will always be there but your baby is only small for a short time. Thanks for all you have already done for us as knitters with your beautiful patterns.
Wow so was the baby born on the same day as your birthday? If so then the baby must be your greatest birthday present ever!!! If not then the baby must be the greatest late birthday gift ever!!!
Congratulations to you and Yuki. What a beautiful family you have. Although time goes by slowly some days, one day you blink, and it's 30 years later. No one ever gets to the end and says 'I wish I had worked more'. Cherish the moments.
Oh My what a roller coaster thank goodness your both fine, he's absolutely gorgeous! Oh I rember those days, I went through very simular things I also had a c section and a boy😊
Congratulations!! You know, at the end of the day, you and your son are healthy and in time, the method of his delivery will fade in importance. You did a great job and he's beautiful. Now to get the hang of parenting a newborn! Wishing you sleep when you need it.
Your baby is beautiful. You're looking radiant. I'm sure you're going to enjoy a regular routine sooner rather than later. Enjoy. He will be growing up so quickly. 🫶🏻
❤best wishes to you and your little family. As an old mom, I thought I’d share a bit of wisdom that was shared with me that helped in the first weeks after birth. Your body is shedding all the pregnancy hormones that you no longer need, and it can make your emotions feel overwhelming. A roller coaster. So know you’re not alone, and we are thinking of you. And after about the 2 months mark, things will settle into more of a routine. You’ve got this! 🎉
Congratulations to you. Being a mom is difficult physically, mentally and emotionally. Give yourself grace when things get overwhelming. Congratulations again!
Congratulations on the birth of your precious baby! My husband, who passed away 4 years ago, was a doctor and he delivered the children for a Finnish friend of mine, Paivi, when we lived in northern Minnesota. Watching you go on this pregnancy journey brings me back to that time. 💕😊
Congratulations! Time will fly by, as your little one grows! Be kind to yourself and try to enjoy every moment, rest when you need and be flexible with your time right now. Beautiful baby❤
Congratulations and welcome to motherhood 🎉those feelings of missing your old life will continue to linger, especially as new challenges arise BUT you will also adapt to your new normal and as the saying goes: The days are long but the years are short! Be gentle with yourself and do not ever feel like you owe it to anyone to post and create content. Some days will be great and others quite tough h it that is motherhood and you will thrive in your new role. Congratulations and enjoy these early years as a mom because before you know it, your little baby will be almost as tall as you and not needing you for everything and you will miss, even the toughest day as a new parent. Cheers to you and your gorgeous new little family 🫶🏽🥂🥰
My due date was March first, but my baby girl arrived 2 weeks earlier. After 20h of labour at home, I gave birth in the car on the way. Every birth is different and I enjoyed getting to know your story. Before you said "perfect sweater" I thought omg this is perfect! I want to make it too 😊 Hugs from your fellow newborn mom
I only found your channel yesterday and I have watched a few of your videos. Congratulations! Enjoy this new little person and thank you for sharing your life with us. I am looking forward to one day knitting some of your patterns.
Thank you for being so candid about your experiences before/during/after your whole journey! So much of the harder parts go unsaid because we all worry about seeming ungrateful or negative about motherhood, but it really can be such a rollercoaster in the beginning. You are doing a wonderful job!
Thank you so much for including us in these important and challenging times in your life. I love that even though we don’t actually know each other I truly am thrilled at your son’s birth and wish the three of you all the best. Congratulations!
What a wonderful pair of parents for this little handsome human! Congratulations! Wishing you all three love, health, and luck in your life! Lots of love from Greece
Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy. Just go with the flow and don’t second guess yourself, you’ll be surprised how instinctively you will respond to your baby when you don’t overthink your response.
I’m 65 but I remember those feelings like it was yesterday. I also had 2 C sections. Not only did you have a baby, you had surgery! all will be well, I promise! Love to you all from New York.
HOW IRONIC OF THIS NEWS BECAUSE I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT YOU A FEW DAYS AGO. MOTHERHOOD DEFINITELY FITS YOU WITH YOUR BEAUTIFUL BABY. HAPPINESS IS - - - THE THREE OF YOU = FAMILY❤️❤️❤️
You are where you are suppose to be, worry will bring it's own rewards best to find spots in the home the infant coos thereby relax will occur ,as, you reward the babe it shall grow on you. That's love!
I'm so happy for you Kika! I cried a bit seeing you with your son in the hospital. Lots of good emotions. I hope that you are recovering well and taking good care of yourself while you heal. I'm so happy that you and the baby are healthy and happy
Thankyou for talking so honestly about all the post-partum feels, its not an easy adjustment to make, my first baby cried every evening for months with colic and it was just as you say, quite bewildering. You are doing so well .
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎊 👶 Getting pregnant was a process 4 you and I appreciate how honest and transparent you were about that portion of you & hubby’s life. Giving birth is such an emotional experience; every birth is different. The crying phase will pass; you R NOT alone in thinking “ what have I done.” U learn as you go and as he grows. Share WHATEVER you want regarding little one’s birth. CONGRATULATIONS once again SUPERWOMAN! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Congratulations! Be kind to yourself, it takes time to learn this new mommy role! One thing I learned is to remain flexible because things changes constantly. There will be times when it’s harder, not going to lie but things will work out. You seem to be well surrounded which is super important. Trust your gut.
Congratulations! 🎉It is so normal to feel helpless as a parent and also to have "of my god, what have I done?!" - thoughts. Thank you for also sharing those moments of parenthood 🙏
Congratulations your little man is adorable. Now allow your body to recover and accept all the help from your family. Thank you for sharing your pregnancy with us. Xx
Your transparency and honesty is so lovely and helps viewers like me to remember what it was like to be a new mother for the first time, for some of us decades and decades ago.. please know, it’s okay to relax and just go with your intuition, and not feeling like you “must do this, or that” because the only things that really matter are love, food shelter and washing up. The rest of it, isn’t so important and can wait.. and we will wait for whatever creative things you bring, whenever you feel like it. Much love ❤
I can’t tell you how much watching your videos, especially the pre-birth and now mean to me. I’m weeping as I write this. I’m 65 and never have been pregnant. I’ve always wondered what it’s like. I’ve hoped that my adult nieces and nephew would have children (I am an only) but it’s not in the cards. Your openness to sharing has been so kind and generous! Thank you sweet Kika! Love from Oregon!
Congratulations on your baby! And yes, the first few weeks with your first baby are hard, There is no getting around that. My love to you and your family as you learn that.
Congratulations!!!
Oh my God..
I remember being 16 and watching u every day.. you were my comfort TH-camr.. I lost u somehow in life.. I got u back.. and you are already having a baby.. I'm so happy for you.. you cannot even imagine how much happy and proud of you.. sending u love.. you really made my day
How exciting! Congratulations! 👶❣And would you believe it? I'm late to the Kutovakika party, so I started at the very beginning a while back and am finishing my very last video today. I so appreciate all you've done sharing your wonderful self with the world. Bless you and thank you!❤
You had a lot to catch up with!
I wish I could be fluent in English to express all my feelings about this vlog and write you all things that came in to my mind!!!
Oooooh congratulations!!!
Best wishes to you all ❤
I looked at the red cardigan and thought that’s a nice sleeve length for a summer-y cardigan 🤷♀️
Congratulations! He is adorable. Life is different and not 100% your own anymore, but it's so worth it. And one day soon, you won't even remember how you filled your days without him in it.
Oh my goodness he is precious!! What a beautiful boy. Good job mommy!!
It was born on the day after her birthday.
Congratulations to you and Yuki. What a beautiful family you have. Although time goes by slowly some days, one day you blink, and it's 30 years later. No one ever gets to the end and says 'I wish I had worked more'. Cherish the moments.
I jealously wanted the baby to arrive on Feb 20, my birthday, but early march is fine too! Congratulations ❤gorgeous baby
Hi, my birthday is on February 20 as well, just sending you greetings! 😊
Congratulations. Enjoy these early weeks, they are like time stands still and you will remember them forever.
Many congratulations and speedy healing. Beautiful baby and beautiful knitting.
You explained being a new mother perfectly you’re doing great and congratulations🩵
What a pleasure to see you again!!! Congrats! ❤❤❤❤❤
Congratulations and God’s blessings on your family!
Cheers to you and your gorgeous new little family 🫶🏽🥂🥰
congratulations 🎊 ❤
My due date was March first, but my baby girl arrived 2 weeks earlier. After 20h of labour at home, I gave birth in the car on the way. Every birth is different and I enjoyed getting to know your story. Before you said "perfect sweater" I thought omg this is perfect! I want to make it too 😊
Hugs from your fellow newborn mom
I only found your channel yesterday and I have watched a few of your videos. Congratulations! Enjoy this new little person and thank you for sharing your life with us. I am looking forward to one day knitting some of your patterns.
Thank you for being so candid about your experiences before/during/after your whole journey! So much of the harder parts go unsaid because we all worry about seeming ungrateful or negative about motherhood, but it really can be such a rollercoaster in the beginning. You are doing a wonderful job!
Such a beautiful baby. Congrats. 😊
Thank you so much for including us in these important and challenging times in your life. I love that even though we don’t actually know each other I truly am thrilled at your son’s birth and wish the three of you all the best. Congratulations!
So happy for you all. Congratulations
What a wonderful pair of parents for this little handsome human! Congratulations! Wishing you all three love, health, and luck in your life! Lots of love from Greece
CONGRATULATIONS!!! So Excited for you to Welcome Baby Home ...^_^...
Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy. Just go with the flow and don’t second guess yourself, you’ll be surprised how instinctively you will respond to your baby when you don’t overthink your response.
Wonderful news congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You’re so lovely. Take your time. It’s the biggest change. He’s very lucky to have you as his mummy xxx
Great news! Congratulations 🎉🍾🎈🎊! Enjoy!
Welcome to the world, little one. ❤️ I hope you are enjoying motherhood. It looks good on you.
Наконец! Устали уже ждать, поздравляем. Это чудесно!
@beekeeper785ib. i think the translation may sound different from the intended comment
The amount of knitting you do and things you accomplished simply amazes me.
Congratulations on your son's arrival, a great video with just the right amount of all the important things. You sound so normal for first time mum.
He’s a very handsome boy. How nice that your family came--with food!
So precious! Treasure these days, they pass so quickly. The hours can be slow, but the years fly by!
I remember when you took a lot of pictures, you could do some of that with your baby, so thankful you are blessed with him.
Congratulations. I feel all your emotions even though it’s been over 50 years since my babies. ❤
That is a really cute baby! I don't ususally think that with newborns, but he's really gorgeous! He's precious!!!
Xx
Congratulations Kika and Juki. What a lucky baby to have you as parents
Please give yourself space and love - you will not be able to do everything you did before, but you will have a new love in your life.
Congratulations to the new mum and dad, and welcome to the world, Little Prince!!!
