    In investigation 7, he was 100% scripting due to him zooming first to colombia, and then their script places the “near” guess using the script and they don’t realize it’s in argentina so they zoom out and realize.

    • @GeoJaydi
      @GeoJaydi  หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      Could very well be! Although the way I edited the video makes it look worse than it was on the first time I show the guess, there was another second in there where they zoom out of columbia and go down to argentina

    For instance the zooming in on the things you are talking about (4:47 6:35)

    Have to say that I agree every round except that Spain, I happen to live fairly close to La Línea and have been there many times and every person that's not blind reaching Gibraltar by land will see at least signs to La Línea de la Concepción. However, if you know the location then you know the location and you would instantly open the map and not spend 10+ seconds staying still or continue awkward moving (unless going for 5k, but the player didn't go)..

    Geoguessr should record cursor movements to see where the players' pointers go when processing information.

      Glad you enjoyed & thanks for watching! Yeah the Spain one was tough!
      I changed my mind on the Oslo one because the guess ended up being directly where the player had moved to (near the roundabout to the west of the actual location)
      There are scripts that allow you to automatically guess the place that you have moved to (instead of the actual location of the round)... It's too much of a coincidence to guess right where they had moved to from so zoomed out!

    It’s not just high ranked players that can watch replays. Regular players can watch their match and see their opponents game. This is good for catching cheaters s as well, it should also cut down on the amount of false claims of cheating because you can review the game and know sure. Scripting is very easy to tell if they are doing it. And you can rewatch and see if someone has the opportunity to google. Remember, there has to be sufficient evidence. Let’s make GeoGuessr great. This is a truly welcomed feature

      I mean, yeah, I understand that they hit exactly 5k considering that they moved a little, but the first mark wasnt even close to that, maybe it was really just 1 in 1mi luck case?

    • @GeoJaydi
      @GeoJaydi  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      so there's a script that puts your marker down where you have moved to in the streetview. In this case, the player moved to the west down the road towards the roundabout from the starting location. When they guess (from a really high zoom level), their marker is right where they are, just east of the roundabout. It's simply too much of a coincidence to guess within a meter of where you are. If it had been a 5k and the guess had been in another direction from the location, that would be less suspicious, but it's right where they moved to

    Wait, they only give one round of each game and not the full match? Because suspicion adds up. For example the Gibraltar one was sus but not evident, but if there was three more sus rounds, that would build reasonable evidence.

      Makes sense that they would try to gather multiple viewpoints to decide on cheating. There's definitely many styles of play, so getting a range of opinions is great. And if the majority of them are like, "that one cheated!" then that's a pretty good indicator. Whereas if it's majority not guilty, then easy to let that player go. And for the inconclusive ones, the devs can do their thing to decide. But it definitely helps to have a bunch of people helping. 😄🥰🌺
