For the last post, it actually makes sense that the crows egged the racoon on. Crows (all corvids really) and one of, if not the most intelligent animal,and have been through tons of tests to show intellect, as well as showing complex emotions and empathy. Corvids understand to stay off of roads, but there's video evidence of one helping an animal to get off the road, even tho it understands that it could get free lunch if the animal got hit. They can also problem solve without trial or error (most animals use trial and error to understand problems where corvids understand the same way that humans can) TL;DR: Corvids are rad
2 things: 1. Rockets actually go sideways after a while to go into orbit. If they just went straight up, they would just fall down. 2. The tattoo has revearse in the right place but the second gear should be below the first. The third is at the top in the middle, the fourth below that one, the fifth on the top right and the sixth below the fifth. And no, not just high end sports cars have 6 gears.

Yeah but it's pretty clear he's not a car person or has ever driven a manual so can't fault him for not realizing it. Reverse is put in so many places depending if you have even or odd gears, Lamborghini had it where first is and had first where second usually is and so on
And only to add a tiny little detail, cause i'm a twat: he asked if only extreme sports cars (super cars and hyper cars i'm gonna guess he is refering to) have 6 gears. Many fast cars now have 7, 9, 10 and i'm fairly certain i've seen more than that. Hell, if it's electric it'll probably have 0, unless it's a rimac which can have a maximum of 2. Note: more gears don't mean more speed, it basically just gives more options for tuning the gearbox for different driving styles. You can achieve insane speeds with only one gear, provided your car can handle the resistance (see koenigsegg regera with its interesting 1-speed gearbox and insane horsepower) or is rolling fast downhill when you put it in gear.

@@harbor641 That's... not remotly true. It all depends on the brand on the car. For example: My reverse on the Jeep is "under" the first gear. I have to lift a ring on the gearshift to engage the reardrive. Same as on a Sprinter. For a VW this chart is accurate. On my Citroen however, the reardrive is where the 6th is on that chart, since it only has 5 forwarding gears.

The reason spacecraft have an arc isn’t because the earth is rotating, it’s actually because the spacecraft has to penetrate the atmosphere at the perfect angle or else it would hit the atmosphere and explode like a car hitting a brick wall at full speed. It’s like belly flopping, if you hold your arm straight down in front of you while falling on your stomach you will break the surface tension of the water and won’t belly flop, but if you landed flat on your stomach with nothing to break the surface tension of the water you will belly flop. TLDR; The spacecraft actually readjusts it’s path so as to penetrate the outer layer of the atmosphere at a specific angle to avoid exploding from the pressure of the craft’s impact on the atmosphere. P.S: not trying to be a smartass, I just learned this in physics and found it really interesting.
When spacecrafts are launching they don't need to "penetrate" the atmosphere since the higher you get the less air they have to get through so there is nothing to penetrate, they arc to achieve an orbit around the earth. When landing they have an arc and not falling straight down because it is way easier to use the atmosphere to slow it down and because when falling straight down the craft would accelerate too quickly and would burn up in the atmosphere.

Yeah if you want to go to orbit you need height and horizontal speed. Either you can fly directly up and do a 90° turn or curve slowly to go horizontal. Of course you do the curve because it uses less energy and is actually possible.
Also, if you shot a spacecraft straight up it would explode when it hits the atmosphere because it would be bounced off due to the speed the rocket would be going at and the surface tension of the atmosphere. A rocket has to penetrate the atmosphere at a specific angle to avoid this

That's... not remotly true.
It all depends on the brand on the car.
For example:
My reverse on the Jeep is "under" the first gear. I have to lift a ring on the gearshift to engage the reardrive. Same as on a Sprinter. For a VW this chart is accurate.
On my Citroen however, the reardrive is where the 6th is on that chart, since it only has 5 forwarding gears.

10:30 the Facepalm was about the fact that the numbers are in order, it is supposed to go 1,3,5 on top and 2,4,6 on the bottom. Also, the location of the 'R' depends on the manufacturer and yes, sixth gear is mostly found in sports cars only.

The reason spacecraft have an arc isn’t because the earth is rotating, it’s actually because the spacecraft has to penetrate the atmosphere at the perfect angle or else it would hit the atmosphere and explode like a car hitting a brick wall at full speed.
It’s like belly flopping, if you hold your arm straight down in front of you while falling on your stomach you will break the surface tension of the water and won’t belly flop, but if you landed flat on your stomach with nothing to break the surface tension of the water you will belly flop.
TLDR; The spacecraft actually readjusts it’s path so as to penetrate the outer layer of the atmosphere at a specific angle to avoid exploding from the pressure of the craft’s impact on the atmosphere.
P.S: not trying to be a smartass, I just learned this in physics and found it really interesting.

When spacecrafts are launching they don't need to "penetrate" the atmosphere since the higher you get the less air they have to get through so there is nothing to penetrate, they arc to achieve an orbit around the earth.
When landing they have an arc and not falling straight down because it is way easier to use the atmosphere to slow it down and because when falling straight down the craft would accelerate too quickly and would burn up in the atmosphere.

Yeah if you want to go to orbit you need height and horizontal speed. Either you can fly directly up and do a 90° turn or curve slowly to go horizontal. Of course you do the curve because it uses less energy and is actually possible.
Also, the visible smoke trail "falling" is from the boosters when they break away.
Also, if you shot a spacecraft straight up it would explode when it hits the atmosphere because it would be bounced off due to the speed the rocket would be going at and the surface tension of the atmosphere.
A rocket has to penetrate the atmosphere at a specific angle to avoid this
