I first saw this on Rage, decades ago and was totally in awe of the song, the playing (full marks to Bart Willoughby - top effort on the drums) and in particular the phenomenal guitar. I never forgot it and spent years trying to find this on TH-cam. To my great relief, I found it and it's still as amazing now as it was all those years ago. I'm bewildered the guitar solo and Selwyn Burns aren't more widely known beyond those who are fans of Coloured Stone. If he is, more widely known that's good as he deserves wider recognition (if he wanted it). One of the great Oz songs for me.
Hard to believe this song is over 30 years old..... It blew me away when I first heard it on Rock Arena and still rates in my top 5 favourite tunes..... Another Aussie "shoulda been a Number 1 but radio didn't get behind it" track...
making that 50w peavy practice amp sing and beg for mercy all at the same time. i havent seen this since the 80s but i still remember the solos...bass riff..... well all in all a complete song
Everyone's on top of their game in this song, brotha Bunna excellent vocals and that Drumming style is of the hook, and killer notes on the lead guitar as well.
Love these guys... I've still got my old LP I bought in Perth back in the 80's. Still thrash it now & then too... I saw then somewhere live once too, but the details are pretty hazy now :D
I signed Selwyn up as a member of our video shop in Tennant Creek in the mid 80's..lol..Coloured Stone were one tight rock n' roll band..they did a great cover of the old Rolling Stone tune..''Out of time''..they used to play in a hall in the middle of the main st of TC next to our shop..i used to stand outside between customers to have a listen to them
these guys with this song deserves more recognition
Amen 🙏 Yes Definitely They Do 💯

In 1986 I was watching beatbox on the abc on a cold Saturday afternoon and this song came on, the rest is history regards from Darwin Australia.
