Great shooting Matt. I used to shoot my air rifles alot between 1997 and 2007. A move to Switzerland put paid to that but on the flip side I started shooting pistol and various other shooting disciplines that are banned in the UK. Since watching your channel, I got my Skan Ultra R32 out and my 14 year old AA TDR for some plinking. The best bit, I got my 9 year old twins involved and they love it. All I need now is a new diving tank as I gave my old one away. And an FX Crown and Impact.
Congratulations from Turkey. Why did you give yourself the hassle of switching calibre to .30 and having to re-zero when the trend seems to be to shoot this comp in .25?? Do you think this gave you an edge in strong winds??

Matt, Your wind advantage came from your placement being closer to the downwind side of the earth berm. When wind is forced over any object, trees, buildings, etc. a Wind Shadow is formed. You can have winds moving in reverse of the flow direction, and at a fraction of the velocity as those people further along where the wind shadow is less and the flows do not reverse. Therefore you were not affected nearly the same by the wind as the people further downwind. If the floor of the range is light dust you can sometimes see the winds moving the dust in different directions. I for one just cant relate to the long slim barrel on the FX Crown. One certainly needs to be careful but how can the barrels be not knocked that would lead to outrageous accuracy results. I wonder how often this could materialize if the barrels are nudged out of precise fitting.
Hi Matt, last year Ted figured out that 0.25 heavy has better ballistic coefficient compared to 0.30 cal. Why did you still choose to use 0.30 cal this year? Also what twist rate did you use for the competition? Thanks and see you at the competition in couple of years ;-)

Hey, Matt. I've been watching your videos for a while now but, this one has me wanting to ask you a few question. I'm getting ready to buy an FX Streamline. It is going to be my first FX rifle. I was considering the Crown but, decided it's too much for my needs. First question, Is the Smooth twist X a much better barrel than the standard smooth twist. If I choose to later down the road can I upgrade on that model? My second question is, I was considering topping it with an Aztec Emerald scope even though I find myself really liking my MTC Viper Pro. I feel like that scope will look ridiculous on that rifle. I prefer to dial in my windage and elevation rather than use the reticle. Is this scope capable of tracking reliably? How easy is it to see the reticle under different lighting conditions or on darker targets? I only ask because I find myself using the illuminated reticle on the MTC quite a bit under cloudy conditions and the Aztec does not illuminate. I would love to get your input on this before I spend money on products that I may be disappointed with. As a side note, great videos. I even enjoy the center fire rifle videos as I shoot all types of firearms.
+Shawn Shultz The Smooth Twist X is more versatile than the Smooth Twist, but not necessarily better. My Streamline with standard Smooth Twist is incredibly accurate! If you are planning to use the turrets, the MTC is probably better suited to you, although it is a bit more expensive.
