New Testament scholar Con Campbell (host of "In Pursuit of Paul") wanted to find out. It's one thing to read about people in Scripture. It's another thing to trace their life histories to more fully understand their backgrounds and the profound effect Jesus had on them. Con invites you to join him in his pursuit of Peter.

I know that Paul was important to the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but if I were living in Israel at this time it would have been Peter I would have followed! He actually lived with our Lord for three years and he is a character we can all identify with, he was a real person who had the same faults and failings we all have, even to the point of denying he knew the Lord not just once but three times! It was absolute fear that made him do this, fear that he too would have been rejected, tortured and crucified, he knew this was going to happen to Christ and I think we all may well have done the very same thing. 🙏🙏🙏

Peter is more like everyman. More like most of us. Paul was the learned one who got the doctrine on paper in Romans, Ephesians and Galatians.

One reason I liked St. Paul, 'he captured my imagination, and I've researched him for 7+ years. This series on Peter, 'has captured my imagination - doing research on Peter will be fun. I am anxious to study and see if there were many 'parallels' between the men with their relation to Jesus Christ and how they arrived at their conclusions. This series is excellent.

That's not the right story about Peter I read that everyday Peter was scared and he asked him to walk on water. As soon as he took his eyes off Jesus he started to sink he cried out Jesus I'm sinking and anyone else should know the rest.
