- It’s been almost 2,000 years since the apostle John was instructed by Jesus to write letters to the seven churches mentioned in the book of Revelation. These timeless letters reveal a message of God’s love through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus, identify and provide correction for problems in the church, and offer hope and encouragement for the future.

I live in Ch*na, and have been teaching about the seven churches of Revelation to a house group here. I tell them, the biggest threat to the church here is not persecution, but materialism. May God revive these believers!

In September 1976 I responded to Revelation 3:20, since then Jesus is my center of life. I am futher enriched, encouraged and moved by this video about the Lord's message to the Laodecia. I am a Bible teacher in Indonesia. This semester I am teaching The Life of Jesus in the Bible, and when we come to the book of Revelation, the videos of Dr. Joe provide more insight with deep challenge of what is meant to confess Jesus Christ amid religious pluralism. Thank you for the clear explanation of the 7 churches. I could listen all day to these video’s and I praise the Lord Jesus that He knows us and that He is the Victor and Saviour and that He knows so well where we are going through. The message comforted us so much, since my husband is a pastor of a big congregation that lives like the Laodicean people. They do not want to hear about sin, forgiveness, living holy and obedient to the Lord. They are as worldy as their neighbours. But my husband felt a strong calling to pastor this church and we see fruit and we see a lot of people come to repentance and live for Christ. But we also have a lot of difficulties with people that make things very hard for us. People that divide the church, that gossip, that do not want you to talk about sin or repentance. I’m so thankful I have a very faithful husband, he knows the Bible so well and when I hear you preach in these video’s it is like I hear my own husband. So thankful for faithful men like you two.

Me, too. I have the DVD set and watch over and over. I am sharing this with family and friends who have been in church all of their lives, but don't truly know Jesus.

Back in 76' I was going from London to Borneo overland. I visited all the seven churches and never realized it. Back then there was no travel in Turkey to speak about. No postcard stands so I had all the time with no people around. Now I've been reborn again with a circumcised heart and wonder how revealing the importance. We are on the last church and second half of the fifth seal.
We have to read the Book of Revelation to better understand. Shalom from Kuching.

The seals don't start until after the Rapture occurs. We won't be here for them. They are part of the wrath of God being poured out on the earth for the rejection of Christ. The church is not under that wrath.

@@ourdailybread I want to go on a trip to the Holy Lands. I lost my dear husband 6 months ago. He loved the Book of Acts and the Apostle Paul. He was a good man always studying scripture, reading his Bible and taking notes. I knew he loved Acts and I have read it because I wanted to see why he loved it so much. He died unexpectedly and we never made our trip. I would go with others from a church if I can find anybody going. He was a great example to me of how not to take the Word for granted!
Amazing once again. He brings home the truth that Jesus Christ is victor and reigns. Eventhough it may seem that the world who hates Jesus seems all present and powerful. Yet Jesus who loves us so much reigns on the throne. O let us serve him with gladness!

I actually loved listening to all the 7 Churches of Revelation. It complemented the bible study I was doing on the book of Revelation beautifully and allowed me to understand these passages deeper. Just based on "The 7 Churches of Revelation" it really helped me to relate what was going on then with how things are going here now to just bring it home personally to my life and my relationship with Jesus. Thank you Joe for taking the time to explain things in such a simple way that it was very easy to understand.

Bringing me to tears. Most of us in the Western World live in Laodicea, and it lives in us.
This was a beautiful message combined with much needed information about not only this church in ancient Asia Minor but to the modern church/ people today. Jesus is so kind and merciful.
