Appreciate the review but without wireless charging i'll stick with plugging in. Glad to hear you're taking advantage of your time in Europe! My military time got me lots of time in asia and the middle east but I didn't get to Europe until after i retired, with space a
I've been using Ottocast U2-Air Wireless CarPlay for more than a year on my Giulia 2021. At the time I did an extensive research on all available adapters and this was coming up all the time. Very fast to connect, no audio delay (next song takes half a second but that's bluetooth), no need to close WiFi, always connected to my USB port. I bought it around $110 and now I see its discounted and sells at $68. I couldn't recommend it more
These things are awesome. Put one in my wife's 2019 kia that only had wired AA/Carplay. It turns on and off seamlessly with the car and you don't have to fiddle with the cable. Very very handy. Was like $60 if I remember.
@@zilvian1hey, thanks for the info. I park my car on minus two so it can’t just automatically connect to my phone. so if I leave it plugged it won’t drain my battery out?
The wireless off, and unplugging the dongle from the usb port are two handlings, where my "old school" plugging into my Stelvio carplay directly from my phone is just one. And i can leave my wifi on. So don't see any reason to swap......YET. but thanks for the solid info! 👌🏽
No just one handling. It automatically disables the WiFi on your phone no need to do it manually every time So just plugging it in every time. However, you don’t HAVE to do that, I just do. You can leave it plugged in indefinitely
So you absolutely could have it set it where you didn’t have to touch anything. I just have a weak battery lol once I replace it i won’t bother with unplugging
I’ve been using this type of system on my giulia 2017 and it definitely has so much jank but access to wireless CarPlay is so worth it. An issue I’ve had tho is constant sound delay, so you get that too?
@@club.alfagt did it default to full screen? I bought the adapter in your video but I'm getting the typical partial screen you'd get with the wired option 😔
Thanks a lot for your interesting review.

If this one ever kicks the bucket I’ll take a look at the Ottocast, however, so far this thing is miraculous

You can definitely leave it plugged in it won't kill or affect battery. Glad I could influence this decision 😎
That’s good to know! Cuz my phone was still saying it was connected to CarPlay up in my room lmao
@@club.alfagt yea if that's the case then try unselecting auto connect to it?
@@zilvian1 I want it to auto connect though. I wanna do as little as possible when I get in the car
@@club.alfagt gotcha then yea just unplugging would be best

@@mennomennes4807 did a test today and it does turn off with the car. So I’ll be leaving it plugged in totally from now on. Truly hands free
@@club.alfagt nice, good to know my friend, thanks for the info! 👊🏽🍀
i was shocked finding out that my giulia qv 2023 (delivered last week) has no wireless car play.. definitly going to buy this one
Breh. You waited until the end to hit me with the doozy? I need my wifi. The device arrives in a couple hours so I'll check then. Thanks again.

I have no such issue. This works exactly as OEM in my car
I need me a dongle for Xmas

Do you get full screen android auto/car play with this?
Yes

@GITSSAC what do you mean partial screen? I’ve never had that issue
Wireless is one word.
Sometimes i cannot function when people are watching me
Might as well plug your phone and charge it. Since you are plugging something *ever time* otherwise I do appreciate your videos. ✌️
