You might want to check out Rincon de Guayabitos. We are just north of Lo de Marcos 15 minutes. It’s a very popular beach town that caters to national tourists mostly from Guadalajara. Big families and loads of inexpensive accommodations. The town right next door is La Peñita and that is a working town with a beautiful main avenue and plaza. On Thursday we have a marketplace in the plaza and we close down an entire street. It’s a true working market, mostly artisan crafts, essentials, food, drinks clothing, plants…we have lived here full time for 7 years.
Been a long time viewer but dont usually comment. Just wanted to say thanks for all the travel tips. Your videos have inspired my wife and I to travel. Was neat to see you in Ab recently (we are up in Edmonton). Cheers.
Hi Gabriel, it's a Beautiful day. Enjoy the nice weather and the vibes. The winters are brutal all day, and little sunlight can be hard on the body. No wonder everybody gets the flu and colds.
Interesting views of Puerto vallerta, i too went from calgary for a visit just went around the board walk ending up to the church of guadelupe and local gift shops, did not get time to see the areas now viewing in your vlog.Stayed at Hilton so far to commute by uber to city.
Gabriel, I've been seeing a similar scam where this happens on credit card terminals as well. You put your credit/debit card in and the waiter unknowingly just keeps hitting the green button. On one of the screens, the green button selects paying in USD rather than local currency and gives you a bad exchange. The waiter doesn't realize, the terminal is designed to make it likely for them to make this mistake.
@Gabriel Traveler - Wow! That’s good to know. Thank you Gabriel! ☺️😎 Hey, do you also plan to explore other Latin American countries, such as Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina, or Brazil, in the next few months? 🤔😗
Awesome Mural on the Building👍Thank You Gabriel🙂Great choice on some Place Warmer than Calgary Alberta Canada🙂💚👍Merry Christmas Gabriel👍From The East Coast NB Canada 👍
Dear Gabriel thank you for all your amazing content over the years. Here is a place you might not have been. Deliblatska Peščara Oldest desert in Europe.
Great insights on the exchange situation. I find there to be quite a range of options and if you shop around, one can avoid being ripped off by playing close attention. Many folks traveling to places like PV aren't seasoned travellers, might only get there for a week or two at the most, are there for a good time, couldn't care less about the exchange, so they get taken advantage of. Easy come, easy go. That first place you showed was a rip off, and right in the heart of the tourist zone. I'm sure the guy is making a killing.
So, hows the public transportation there? Can you like travel around easily solo without renting a car? And maybe go for walks through local villages or nature or something? Or is that just something people dont really do in Mexico? I mean, of course you can make walks but I mean like not along busy roads or some not very interesting suburb. Because the town itself looks ok, but very busy and touristy. Perfect for a family beach holiday of course, but maybe not so interesting when you are there by yourself. Seems like a decent place to use as base camp for a couple of weeks and explore the region around it, perhaps? And I really dont like tours, for me it takes away all the excitement of exploring if you know what I mean.
PV isn't that great for me anymore. Quite expensive now for the budget minded. I just don't find that much to do there. Granted I'm not a spring chicken so I'm not there to party. Also the water is dirty for swimming in the city. It's still the logical fly in city for many places so there is that to consider.
@ perhaps you could learn to read and comprehend. I clearly stated a HOT DRYER, not a local environment. I worked for many years in the retail (expensive) clothing industry. Cotton shrinks in a hot dryer regardless of expense or where the garment was manufactured.
@@sparadise1633No. You're wrong again. I use a hot dryer and have no problem. But I don't have China shirts like you. I'm not sure if you really know much about fabrics.
Have you checked the exchange rate they're giving compared to xe.com? Because normally a bank outside of the country, such as in the US will give a pretty terrible rate compared to if you withdraw from an ATM inside the country you're going to.
Looks nice there have you ever considered on getting one of those wise cards with the preloaded money on it. Go Explore Matt recently did a TH-cam on it.
Gabriel I'm with you on the video's title. I spent six weeks in the Mayan Riviera (Cancun, Playa, etc) and three weeks in the Nayarit Riviera and I liked Puerto Vallarta a lot. I always recommend it over Cancun whenever the topic pops up. They were gonna charge you $53 bucks more for trhe withdrawl. Yikes!!!!
@GabrielTravelerVideos Guanajuato, Puebla, Mazatlán, Mulegé, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Mérida...you could do up the coast from PV to the Riviera Nayarit - San Pancho, San Blas, Guayabitos etc...PV is fine for a vacation but it's more a tourist town than a traveler destination 😁
@Cirearyk or a click bait title 😅 I don't blame him btw, all youtubers do it. Also I guess he doesn't speak Spanish, which makes it easy for him travelling in PV, Cancún and other Gringo-friendly places
Guanajuato is my favorite Mexican city: th-cam.com/video/ATbH8844IPQ/w-d-xo.html I've been to some of the other cities you mentioned but not all of them. Oaxaca is a nice one, as well as San Cristobal de las Casas.
Wow Banff, Alberta and Puerto Vallarta all in a week. You're spoiling us
You need some Gabriel traveler merch with “decline conversion” on it !
Ha, good idea. 🍺
great idea.
."alright alright alright" on the back.lol
Or else "Let's keep on cruising."
Thanks for your awesome content throughout this year. Lots of education, inspiration and entertainment. I wish you a merry and blessed Christmas.

Is this the beginning of a Caribbean or South American grand tour. 🎅? I hope so
Great video! I I absolutely Love being here🍀
Gabriel, you rarely visit the Philippines. Is there a reason you always tend to skip it? Your views and advice on locations there would be interesting
The trinkets have not changed in 50 yrs in the gift shops.
The sea seems to be very murky, is it polluted
You seem to like those colorful shirts.
What material are they made from?
Not sure, they usually don't list the fabric on the tags and they're all different.
@@GabrielTravelerVideosNo problems with synthetic fabric in the hot weather?

What about that dumpster?

If the shirt is made of cotton or cotton blend it will definitely shrink in a hot dryer even if it’s pre-shrunk.
No. I have many cotton shirts that have not shrunk in tropical weather, but I buy good quality. Maybe you buy 2$ China shirts? 🤔

Only if you can’t make it to the real Mexico. If that even exists anymore, price gouging and gentrification are all over Mexico just like the US.
