Yup pops is blessed to have this one alot of hard work and a lifetime of sacrifice paid for this one. getting a first boat is achievable though brother, bought my first one for $3000 1988 Ranger 363v won more fishing tournaments out of that boat that most guys!!!

Is there a proper way to navigate those sandbars down there or is it more so just having that familiarity with those sections of the river? I know there’s a lot down south and up by Liberty which kind of scares me away from going to those areas lol
Best way to do it is go down there on a low tide and look at where everything is and mark it on the graph. But time on the water is really your best friend.

I fish south San Joaquin in a jet and I’ve seen some pretty crazy stuff with the bass tournament guys. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lower unit gets ripped off in the areas I’ve seen these Wednesday guys go to
Had me stressed out, really admired you guys keeping your cool. Logan is usually the one pushing it in the shallows. I always tell him, make sure it’s low tide if you get stuck. What was the alarm that went off? I have ptsd from our Overheat alarm
tells pops dont trip, I got stuck on the island going into the back of tracy. My boat was out of water at peek low tide. I did not have the patience to wait 5 hours so i called for BOATUS to unground me only ghost me $1700. This was about 2 months ago. my insurance reimbursement me thank god. I have it on video, the crashing into the sand bar and the tow boat pulling me out.
@@BeardedBassin that’s what dispatch told me too, lol. She tried to talk me out of it. I was like no come get me I have things to do. Plus there were people passing by taking pictures, I’m surprised there is not a meme yet of me on that island. Like you said, lessons were learned. I’ll show you the video one day it’s funny now that it’s over with.
@@BeardedBassin Been there before. I almost launched my boat off a tule break coming out of Mildred. Could of swore I came in that way,but nope. Hit reverse at the last possible second to save us. You should of seen the look on my partners face.

Yup that was the overheat alarm from sucking up mud, got her cleaned out good once we got it to the river.
There isn't a better place in California to completely destroy a $130,000 boat than the California Delta.
