Thanks bro I watch all your stuff front to back I'm like u I love things simple I see u don't have all the crazy graphs and stuff on your boat I think that's awesome keep it up bro u will have your year....
Thanks for the videos man, I'm 60 and I just started fishing again. Haven't fished much since mid 90's. My son-in-law is an avid angler and aspires to go pro, but he needs someone to help out and be there for him. His pop passed exactly a year ago and I love helping him, also, I'm retired and have all the time in the world to help. My thing is I am not able to improve his game so I watch the TH-cams to get better informed and your videos along with maybe five others are helping so much. Thank you for taking your valuable time to help us all out, you rock!
My father in law is my fishing partner. If you’re open to it I would highly recommend Brian’s school. I’m in it and you really do learn a lot plus with Brian’s personality you know it will be fun too. It’s really nice to have access to Brian when you have questions and maybe the class is something you and your son in law can do together.
I just got into bass fishing for my son last year. He’s on the highschool bass fishing team. I went a bought a 90s bass boat and started fixing it up. Right now with some of the tips I’ve learned off your channel we’re in the running for state. I hope we can close out the season with a win.
Started fishing in a kayak in ‘21 after quitting drinking and haven’t looked back. Thanks for the content and valuable instruction. Good luck this year!!

What do you think about scented baits vs additives? Also what do you mean by nothing to eat in Texas lol ? You want I have a few spots in Dallas, steak houses, viet, Thai, kbbq, soul food, Indian, Korean fried chicken, bbq, stuffed turkey legs sushi/ramen/hot pot dimsum or hand pulled noodles, Cajun crawfish/ oysters or viet Cajun … get lost in the sauce 😂
One of the best characters in the sport, i havent bass fished in 12 years since i left albuquerque to return to Ireland, but i love the sport, perch in freshwater and wrasse in the sea is the closest we have, i look forward to all your videos
B.Latt, I got into fishing about 4 years ago because my family went on a river rafting trip down the Salmon River in Idaho and my parents bought us fly setups to use down the river (7-day trip). Once I realized I wasn’t good at that I got with my buddy who bass fished and he gave me some advice and started watching videos, and came across your videos. You’ve been one of my #1 goto’s for videos ever since and the top reason is your humbleness! I appreciate what you put out and how you do it! Thank you!
Give a man a fish, he has a meal for the day…Teach a man/woman to fish they have a meal for life🙏 Brian, I started fishing with my Dad and brothers at 6-7 years old. I have followed your channel since 2017-2018 for a few reasons, but the #1 reason is I witnessed your character in the FLW tournaments, and my son produced their TV Shows and Live Streams,so I was at Forrest Wood Cups and All American Tournaments. I have seen the changes and my son, after 18 years with FLW, left the second year of MLF. I’m still a FAN of you, your channel, your tournament career and now your SUF School. I use a lot of ZMAN products after I went to the Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Murray and met the GSM and I also met Miles Burghoff …… I am so happy for your successes, in both fishing and family. I’m also a musician, and I really appreciate your creativity….. I will definitely continue to support you, your channel and your school. I know that with 200K followers you can reach your students directly and it’s a great idea. No need to reply to me, just feel the energy I am sending 💯🍀🎣🍀😎
Started fishing as a kid but have become serious in last five years. So much to learn. I watch TH-cam alot to gain knowledge. Sometimes its information overload. Kind of like any passion. Learn it all while trying to keep it simple seems to be the key. Now Ive gone from kayak angler to my first real life boat and all the electronics. It is a fun adventure in learning and just fun. Trick is to combine the simple and the knowledge. I am the guy that will buy everything if not kept in check. Love the simple and everything having a purpose or leave it at home approach.
Thanks brother ,I really enjoy your content, believe it or not it is very helpful ,I'm looking forward to joining your fishing school, we have to support. When first saw the Excite Bite hoodie I knew exactly were you had gotten the idea from, awesome!! Keep up the hard work BLatt.
On Big Sam, find the most overlooked flats you can. Everybody's going to pound the obvious structures like channel swings, points, drop=offs, etc. All the usual places everybody fishes. Todd Driscoll of TPWD has been doing tracking surveys and has found (at least on T-Bend) that 41% of all bass are on top of flats. Find flats with cover, and you have the best chance.
Brian, thanks for showing your rig and bringing us along on your practice! It's cool to see what goes into a tournament week! Good luck this year hope you have a lot of success!!
I was one of those guys back in 2018 when I started watching your channel. I was off work due to knee surgery and had a lot of time on my hands. I didn’t grow up in the fishing world, more so just hunting. Watching you and others on TH-cam fishing channels I’m learning how to be a better bass fishermen. I thank you for that!! This will be my second year in a local bass club. Still have a lot to learn. GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR!!
Turned 50 last year. Began my fishing addiction in my early 40s. Learned so much from watching your channel. Thank you kindly for sharing your journey with us and teaching me a LOT of things I was doing wrong! Much love!
I'm going to be honest with you. if your video was an hour long, I would still watch it. I have enjoyed all of your video's maybe because you just talk about whatever you want to, about fishing. I personally think you're a down to earth person, honest, a good father and husband, Have a great season.
Been fishing about 55 years, but still learning. I just love it. Nothing like it. Appreciate you, what you do, and that you took time at the Harris Chain to talk with my grandson and me and take a couple pics. Thanks, man. Keep being you.
I never really fished as a younger person. I’m 52 now and my kids are grown. I like fishing and do appreciate any help. Informative videos like yours help a lot.
I have to admit... Of all the guys i have been following you are still sticking to the fishing i love.. Its sooooo nice to watch someone Flip and Pitch the shallows. I love to watch you fish and not just see you looking a a screen....
Thanks for sharing Brian. I grew up with my dad catfishing and then got a small boat when I was young. I started bass fishing but only knew about plastic worms and live bait. Life sped up, I got a job, got married and raised two boys. Coached sports for over 20 years and rarely fished. My boys grew up and I retired. Got a small boat again and boy, has bass fishing changed. I will admit as I began to watch many TH-cam videos, it was overwhelming. Luckily, I found you and straight up fishing school. I appreciate that you are a teacher , not just spouting off about buying this and that lure. You have simplified my future fishing and teaching me about bass behavior. I encourage all anglers to give SUF a chance and you will not be disappointed. By the way, I got the bonus and I thank you.
Brian Thanks for the videos. I'm 59 and I've been fishing for years. My dad taught me how to fish when I was a toddler. Needless to say, I've been hooked. For many years I've experimented with many baits and techniques. Thank you for your videos. They've helped me to make heads or tails on how to fish the many baits and with that I am teaching my fellow soldier. Soon to retire from the military, I will continue to give classes to the wounded veterans in my region. I appreciate what you do for me and the others who have questions.
Grew up salt water fishing. Put the rods away about 15 years ago. This channel for the last 3 years made me strictly fish for bass. Never looked back. Love it more now than when I was younger
Just started back fishing last year. Learned the very little I know from TH-cam but my father in law got me into bass fishing big time after my father passed away and needed something to keep something on mind! You and your videos have helped me a ton and this is my first year of having a bass boat instead of just bank fishing! I’d love to join your fishing school when money gets right! Thanks a lot BLat! Good luck this year.
One of my first memories is fishing with my dad in a creek. I spent my childhood fishing day in and day out bass, carp, catfish, i even would catch crayfish and sell them. Life got in the way of my passion but the Internet brought me right back. Were talking sunrise 16° air temp out on the boat, fishing docks and bridges in the summer, crazy waves, fun times with my boys, i love it all!
I have been bass fishing for over 40 years. I like your channel because even I can learn something everyday. I also have always wanted to be a pro but you know life gets in the way.
Big Sam can defiantly humble you real quick. It’s my home lake and there’s been many days where I just absolutely struggled to get bit. & Not to sound weird, but I was sitting behind you at Chapala’s (the Mexican restaurant) last Friday night after the first day of the tournament. Been a fan for a while and I wanted to ask for a picture but I didn’t want to interrupt y’all’s meal, especially after a long day of fishing. That’s a sick rig you got man and good luck this year! Go catch em.
I definitely fell in love with fishing in tje past two years im so thankful for videos like yours because i still fill so lost on what im doing i actually bought my first bass boat this year my brother and I went halfs
I wish you the best with the school! I spend a number of years teaching others saltwater fishing, and it is definitely rewarding. I've done this for a long time and now I get a bigger kick out of watching someone learn and maybe catch their PB than catching fish myself, especially the kids. There is more happiness than giving than receiving - TRUTH!
I’ve been fishing since I was 4, but I started bass fishing when COVID hit. It can be frustrating, but I have really enjoyed it, and you are one of the ones who have taught me how to get better.
BLAT - best of “knowing what you know” season. I’ll be watching the channel. You are an inspiration for all - my 3 sons love watching you and your family.
I’ll see you at Ky lake this year. That’s the only one I got invited to.I was super excited and nervous!Im trying to harness my emotions. Its been hard coming up with the money but we got it.Im 50 I’ve been fishing tournaments for 30+ years. This is my biggest EVER!Looking forward to meeting you.Be safe and good luck B-LAT!
Me and my son watch all your videos. I grew up in BHP. Best of luck in the tournaments this year. He started the high school fishing team this yr. Been a learning experience so far. Your videos help a lot. Thank you for all you do to educate.
I have been learning about bass fishing specifically and have pretty much been a bass fisherman sense 2016, and was the year I bought my kayak!! People like you on TH-cam have really been helpful! I live in MD so the north east is hard to find some of the bigger fish that a lot of the southern fisheries put out but I have been hooked and kayak fishing has been my favorite thing and also being on the water has been a place for me to get closer with god and it’s really become my therapy. I can’t see myself not fishing and when I can’t get out to go fishing it physically hurts and I can’t wait until I can get back out. Anyway you had just asked about how we got into the sport but I’m going on my 9th year of kayak fishing and calling myself a bass angler and I love it!!
Advocacy is the key to anything positive. Fishing will, of course, survive. Teach a man to fish, as it were. Good for you in realizing that teaching is a great way to connect with the community at large. At 53 I am just beginning my tournament journey with kayak tournaments. Been fishing since I could hold a rod (thanks Dad). When I was 19, my father offered to sponsor me with a boat and a truck. He saw that I had uncanny skills in bass fishing. Instead, I grew my hair long and partied for the next 20 odd years. That was a bad choice. Keep up the good work. It's people like you who are changing lives through inspiration and insight.
I have been at it about 25 years, but really didnt know much more than I picked up just doing it. I also fished primarily creeks/rivers wading. Ive started to fish kayak tournaments the last few years and used a lot of tips picked up from your channel. Shakey head has won me a few now
Been fishing since a little kid (I’m 43) because of my grandfather and Dad. Did little Bass fishing as a teenager and got back in a year. Not a lot largemouth Bass in Brasil. I eventually fish in a pond. I am getting better by watching your videos! Thank you very much!
Thanks for the educational and entertaining content Brian! I am one of the people that has taken up bass fishing because of creators like you! The life of a touring pro isn’t as easy as it looks. I really appreciate your honesty and hard work! Tight lines brother!
Agree Brian the gap between new beginners and experienced fisherman is a gap. I’ve been fishing my whole life but new as a bassboat owner and your videos have helped I’m looking forward to signing up and get help from SUF
Appreciate all you are doing for fishing. I have a very unique perspective. I was really into bass fishing in the 80's. Loved it. But lost interest when I went to college. So when I lost touch it was still pretty much the old 5'6" pistol grip rods and mono line and Texas rigging! Got back into it about 5 years ago. So the change was not gradual for me. It was "OH my God, what is going on!" So thanks for helping to educate us "newbies".
I got into this in the last few years. Started bank fishing and eventually got a kayak. Slowed down the last two years but ready to get back into it more over this spring
Wishing you the best this season! Awesome concept with the online school! Thanks for spending a few minutes on the Storyteller, love it and hope to hear more!
Love your videos and all your deep explanations. I own an RV paint shop that specializes in custom painting in sprinter vans. Bring me your van, let me put a custom paint job on it that matches your boat!
love to see u and your son.good stuff.i m into fishing up 15 years now. like your way to talk and explaine, nice energy! hi from germany, to you and your fam.
I’m in the category that you referred to early in the video. I have relied on a handful of the pros to enhance my fishing experience. I have followed you for the last 5 years and almost all of my finesse knowledge has come from your channel. I watched until the end, because this is how I spend my winters in Michigan. Boat shows, fish and outdoor shows, expanding my arsenal, and looking to learn more from you pro guys on tour. Thanks!
Great to see the van incorporated in your tournament videos. I own a Airstream Nineteen that's on the same MB Sprinter Van chassis. I use it often during my travels, kayak bass tournament and etc. I plan to purchase a boat in the near future and will be following your thoughts on how the van does a varies lake's ramps. I've never had a ramp that had my tail pipe in the water but pretty damn close. Enjoyed the video.
I am in my 60’s and I made it to the end of your video. Good luck on the tournament. That flooded shoreline looks good to me. Jigs, square bills and spinner baits with orange Indiana blades. Excellent RV and boat also. Make us some cool, old school, retro fishing apparel for us old dudes.
Great vid bro. I got into bass fishing during the 2020 stuff. I have the bass fishing fever now. Went from kayak to bass raider to jon boat to now bass boat. I have watched many of your videos and they have helped me a lot. I appreciate your help. Thank you and keep the videos coming!
been fishing since I was a kid on a riverbank with my pops, been competitive bass fishing for 30 years. I always enjoy your content, and I love that tow vehicle! ( grew up on 2-strokes too)
43, honestly I stumbled across your Straight Up fishing tv show one rainy Sunday and really enjoyed watching you fish with your Dad and kids. Plus you only live an hour or 2 away frome so you fish some of the same bodies of water I do. You keep it real and transparent. So I decided to look you up on all the Social media platforms. Good luck I'm pulling for you 💯
Thanks Brian. Hope to see you sometime on Hartwell. I’m new to fishing, just bought a Ranger RT188. Trying to catch my first bass sooner than later. It’s not as easy as it looks lol
B- Latt you really are an amazing person I can't believe how humble you are, I really appreciate your honesty about struggling to catch fish. I always wondered if the pros have tough days also, it always seems like there always catching fish 24/7. Thanks for being you! God bless 🙌
Just started fishing again at 48yrs old because of your videos. I never was bass fishing berfore. Only saltwater fishing 35 years ago. So, now that I identify as a Pro Angler, I need to actually start catching fish 🤣 Keep up the good work Brian.
I’m new to fishing as and adult as a child I went trout fishing nothing serious but absolutely love it like you said learning the cold front stuff etc but fishing is my peace and brings me closer with the lord keep up the good work 🙌🏻
That would be East Texas. Deep East Texas to be exact. We were out on the lake at the same time this year as our high school tournament overlapped with the MLF again. I met you at the Umphrey's weigh in a couple years ago and my son saw you again this year after our pre fish on Friday. We caught a bag on Saturday, but no real weight to speak of. It rained hard, but there was no wind to speak of and it made running the lake a dream. My son Peter is the bass fisherman and I'm the captain, mechanic, cook, make it work guy. Peter wants to continue the tournament circuit in college and beyond. I really like your energy and videos Brian and I wish you all the best.
Thanks for all you do BLat. I enjoy your videos so much. Especially the ones where you’re showing what it means to be a dad. Good luck this season. Oh are you coming to guntersville this season? I live in scottsboro AL now and would love to come watch in person
Bruh I thoroughly enjoy you and your video content. I have been fishing for 61 years. Started lure fishing when my brother and I found a silver spoon with red and black dots on a small country pond. We caught sunfish, warmouth and bass before I lost it to a root we couldn’t see. The one thing I wish you would consider for your tournaments for us have a boat and shore category. Those of us on the shore don’t have a chance. 😉🎣
Like your videos! I started back fishing during the Covid lock down .😀Haven’t stopped since . Learned a lot . Joined Bass and watched your videos and many others on how too and techniques!
I’m in my 40s and am a fairly competent bass fisherman and am passionate about bass and walleye. Living in the NW, salmon and steelhead get the attention and I have no one to talk with about bass. I get my fix watching this channel.
I'm one of those old guys (70) getting back into fishing. Used to fish all the time as a teenager, mostly catfishing. I'm going to retire this year and get a boat. Hope the fish are biting. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.

Love watching you guy!! I’m 65!! Retired and fishing when ever I feel like it!!
What a life!
Dang, I'm 58 and catching up to you🎣
Started fishing in a kayak in ‘21 after quitting drinking and haven’t looked back. Thanks for the content and valuable instruction. Good luck this year!!
Congratulations on your sobriety. I quit drinking in March 2019. It’s difficult but rewarding.
I stopped in 2000 and loving my life now. One day at a time and many days with a fish on the line!
I’m 75 and been bass fishing over 60 years…. You can learn to much always enjoy your videos

You The FIRST One I Saw Breaking Down In Details How To Bass Fish Certain Lures. Thanks 🙏🏾 🤜🏾🤛🏾
Best of luck out there!!!
I’m 76 and just got into bass fishing this year. No boat so only bank fishing and I love it
I'm absolutely one of those guys who got into bass fishing within the last 5 years, I've been watching you the whole way, keep it up B Lat!
You're a total pro Brian and your teachings are best in class. Thanks for doing what you do and good luck this season!
I fished tournaments off and on since 1993 but still learn everyday and you help
I’ve been around forever. I watched every day of your 2019 win on Seminole. I’m a tournament junky. Love everything bass fishing.
I dig your setup (killer Benz RV pulling the boat)!! 😍
Let’s go B-Lat!!!!! Keep Grinding!!! 👍🏾✌🏾
Good stuff! That’s the stories I love to hear
I’ve been fishing my whole life but new as a bassboat owner and your videos have helped
I’m looking forward to signing up and get help from SUF
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing!
Good luck I'm pulling for you 💯
Really cool seeing you in Hemphill TX! Caught my first bass out of toledo bend in Hemphill.
Thanks Brian. Hope to see you sometime on Hartwell. I’m new to fishing, just bought a Ranger RT188. Trying to catch my first bass sooner than later. It’s not as easy as it looks lol
Hey Brian, noticed your speaking here in Toronto at 3pm tomorrow. What an awesome surprise!! See you tomorrow brother.
Another great one. I must say again the boat looks beautiful. The van and the boat together looks awesome.
B- Latt you really are an amazing person I can't believe how humble you are, I really appreciate your honesty about struggling to catch fish. I always wondered if the pros have tough days also, it always seems like there always catching fish 24/7. Thanks for being you! God bless 🙌
That van is sweet! Good luck this year dude! Love ur content!
B-lat you are the man thanks for what you take the time and do..
Started tournament fishing the spring of 2001. It’s changed tremendously since I started
Just started fishing again at 48yrs old because of your videos. I never was bass fishing berfore. Only saltwater fishing 35 years ago. So, now that I identify as a Pro Angler, I need to actually start catching fish 🤣 Keep up the good work Brian.
I’m new to fishing as and adult as a child I went trout fishing nothing serious but absolutely love it like you said learning the cold front stuff etc but fishing is my peace and brings me closer with the lord keep up the good work 🙌🏻
THIS VIDEO IS WILD MAN! I FELT LIKE YOU WERE TALKING DIRECTLY TO ME LOL THANKS FOR EVERYTHING BRO!! IVE LEARNED SO MUCH THRU YOUR VIDS.
Enjoyed the video! Love excite bike, too. Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoy watching you Brian. I enjoyed the video when you took all your kids fishing. You are a good dad.
Hit the nail on the head with me. That's why I follow you and a couple others that have similar channel format.
I’m in my 40s and am a fairly competent bass fisherman and am passionate about bass and walleye. Living in the NW, salmon and steelhead get the attention and I have no one to talk with about bass. I get my fix watching this channel.
Beautiful boat love seeing it with out the wrap
Thank you for doing what you do. I remember the 1st thing I learned as trainer was tell them and let them tell you show them then let them show you.
That is a sweet little RV Van Brian!!!
I'm one of those old guys (70) getting back into fishing. Used to fish all the time as a teenager, mostly catfishing. I'm going to retire this year and get a boat. Hope the fish are biting. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.
Rayburn. My home lake. You got this.
I love that lake man!
At the age of 43 I’m just learning how to fish glad I bumped into your channel.
This is dope! Wishing you the best man!
I’m still proud of you and thank you for the videos
And the man can wrap a cord correctly! B Lat ALWAYS been a real one - Love what you do for others 🤙🏽
1 of my top tournament fishing channels, B Lat i hope this season is your best ever and i will follow every one with you in it❤
