If the music in the video is anything to go be. I may be unnessisarily emotional because I almost broke down crying. Thanks for telling me about this game. Don't force yourself to play Arcanum. It has not aged well in most areas. Let the mists of nostalgia and myth remain. I really want to keep in the news on this game, but spoiler free. If the world and plot is well done I want to experience it fully myself. So if you do keep posting about the game, could you perhaps do a spoiler free section or spoiler free videos where you share your thoughts on themes, quality and such broad strokes?
Remember at the end where they show the consequences of your choices and what happened to the ppl you interacted with during game. They should do that in more crpgs 😁. Also loved arcanum game was so different in my steampunk playthrough and my magic playthrough
I got it last night and played for about 2 hours; after having a miserable day in COD BO6, don't ask why I even play it!. YES, I was transported back to that era of games I love dearly, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, Planescape:TORMENT, Disco Elysium, and others. I was afraid it would run like dog poop, but so far, it's running perfectly and has no bugs as of yet. I was going to wishlist it, but I couldn't resist even at this really early stage. I have high hopes for this one; the initial introduction made a great impression.
I'm 6 hours in, and one minor bug and a few frame drops here and there, but I'm hooked. Currently lost trying to find some old lady, but the nostalgia is there.
Technologic Shady Kingpin Rogue hating magic sounds like a fun idea. Good to hear that I can play as a Dwarf. So I guess Dwarf using guns and technology from Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is on the menu again boys!
Disco Elysium it's the biggest tag someone could ever throw for a text based gameplay. I will remain skeptical about that, but i concede it has the arcanum flavour. Time will tell how good it is.
Love the arcanum inspiration. Mystical influence. I take it you can't release a gameplay or stream of it? I would love to see it in action. Hyped, but I don't buy early access on principle anymore

I’m so excited to finally get something like arcanum. It sounds like the game is on the right track at least with world building and writing. If they can iron out the bugs and game balance it could be something really amazing. I don’t do early access anymore but I’ll be right there on day one when it releases.
I saw a couple other folks covering this and was hoping you'd be doing the same. Definitely intrigued by this one. Digging the art direction, setting, and the tone. Hoping it will hit 1.0 relatively soon.
man the quests in this game have been great, it has a dark theme but a light atmosphere and neither drown each other out, also the spell crafting system is really cool. I'd Recommend tying a mage if you haven't there is alot of mage comradery in dialogue options. As far as combat I really like mage, lots of AOE dmg you can taunt lock enemies and you can AOE stun entire enemy teams. the courruption system wasnt too bad, ive picked 2 courruption tiers and no issues so far.
Must be pretty low level mages. In arcanum it's the same, big tech. But all the tech people are terrified of the big mages out in their places, knowing they don't really have a chacne.
I think the disparity between the tech and magic users could be easily solved by those who weild magic specializing in healing. Technology is clearly taking over a lot of roles in society but there's no situation where it could out do magic in regards to healing. Send those mages to medical school.

That cockfighting part got me 🤣 Anyway, I think games with original rulesets really benefit from having EA periods. Hopefully Dreamate gets the data they need to tune it up because I'll be keeping my eye on it for when the full release comes.
I would have preferred a classless system with a balancing act between tech and magic like Arcanum. I still like the look of it and will probably buy it.
This might be the first early access I participate in. I’m basically done for the year in terms of work. I’ll end up working probably total of 2-3 more full days, spread out through the end of the year. So I’ve got plenty of time. 🤔
You had me sold when u said it was very dark and adult themed I'm 38 and there's few games that are toned that way. I just put it on my wishlist on ps5
