  • From our Series "35 Most Asked Questions Concerning Bible Prophecy" this clip answers the question: Doesn't Revelation 6:12 indicate that "the great day of God's wrath" begins at the breaking of the sixth seal, not before that?

When it says "the great day of his wrath is come"....that means that wrath has JUST come (meaning the 6th seal events just happened). The wicked are reacting in fear to the celestial and terrestrial disturbances. Furthermore, the emphasis is on the great DAY of his wrath....a day being a normal 24-hour time period. Regardless of seals 1 through 4 being wrath of God or not.....the fifth seal clearly reveals that God hasn't yet judged the wicked who have killed the saints up to that point in time in the 70th week. So even though I would say that seals 1 through 4 are judgments from God, they are more along the lines of general/setup events because they don't involve God avenging his elect. God avenges his saints during the 6th seal and 7th seal....which leads into further avenging via the blowing of the 7 trumpets (the first trumpet being blown AFTER the 7th seal is opened).

Amen! Correct, my friend! The Seventh Seal comprising of 7 Trumpets or 7 Bowls starts THE DAY OF THE LORD'S WRATH not the First Seal. Dr. Renald Shower is sadly mistaken like the majority of "Seven Years" Pretribbers! The 7th Trumpet or 7th Bowl completes it with the Wedding of the Lamb in heaven and the Return and Touchdown of Christ WITH His Saints to earth.

Wrath begins at Chapter 8, Chapter 6 is part of the introduction of what will happen, you will find the same verse (6:12) on Chapter 9:6 where it happens when they seek for death but death will elude them.

BUT...2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 teaches that the Day of the Lord WON'T COME UNTIL the man of sin is revealed, which we know doesn't occur until the midpoint of Daniel's 70th week.

The antichrist is revealed at the beginning of the Tribulation Period. What kicks off the Tribulation Period is when he signs a covenant with Israel. As soon as he does that all Christians will know who he is and then we go up. The church was not here for Daniels previous 69 weeks so why would we be here for any of the 70th week?(Tribulation) The church is only mentioned 1 time after revelation chapter 4 for good reason. Because we are not here. As soon as the covenant is signed at the beginning of the tribulation period we go up, and then sudden destruction comes upon them.(the unsaved) We know that 75% off all the Jews unfortunately perish during the Tribulation, and probably 75% of everyone else. In just the 4th seal alone 25% perish.

what a slick way to enforce the pre-trib rapture theory. if the signs of birth pains line up with what Jesus said would be the beginning how could it be the day of wrath. As Jesus said, "These thing must take place!" media has twisted the minds of Christians. Prepare as if were pre-trib rapture but expect mid. As it is written in Rev7:14 They have COME OUT of tribulation. Not before, not after! Truth!
