  • In the end, it does what I wanted it to do on stairs however odd it may look using it.

Excellent video. Looking at purchasing to scrub my daughter’s Berber carpet. The stairs are an absolute nightmare with our Hoover stair tool. Was hoping for this exact type of video. Thank you 😊

As a professional carpet cleaning technician, it’s refreshing to see someone maintain their carpets so well. Your method of cleaning the steps was very effective, especially on the bull noses!

I think this would go excellent hand in hand with hot water extraction as a method to pre-treat and apply a traditional shampoo to the carpet and then rinse and extract the carpet with your carpet extractor. I find the “dry method” using the crystallizing shampoo to be okay, but actually getting into the carpet pile with hot water and shampoo to be much more thorough, particularly in removing smells and deeper stains and splotches.

It did a fantastic job! Your stairs and carpet look great! It uses very little shampoo solution. I grew up with these machines.

I own a Koblenz P2600 its a great machine considering i had it for 12 years and still runs like a tank.

What a great machine, even if just used to rejuvenate the carpet pile!

Nice, picked up an old kenmore version that has the T handle. Needs some maintainence but the motor runs solid. Parts are pretty much interchangeable from the old and new machines as long as they have the same features.

I used to have one of these it was a two speed shampoo/polisher koblenz but sadly it broke and we threw it away plush these are one of my most favorite machines but I'll find a new koblenz at some point.

Looks like the encap method is pretty effective; although I think a second time with plain water or a vinegar dilution would ensure less residue. Please do a future video showing the Electrolux Turbo Rug Washer tank vac accessory in action using a single wand. I would imagine it would be easier to use on stairs than the Koblenz twin brush cleaner. Thanks for the demo.

@@VacLab Oh, well it's something to consider adding to your collection, because they work well in smaller areas along with rugs. They came in different successive colors from the early '60s (with the Model G) to the mid-'80s (with the DJ) and are often sold on eBay. I don't have steps, but have used mine on rugs. Their turbo action sounds like dentist drills, ha.

Valid option. Encap. Filtration lines on borders still require manual or hwe. Would like to see demo on really soiled carpet to compare results.

That debris in the tank might have been dried encapsulation polymer

Google encapsulation and emulsification. Kirby also uses this process for their dry shampoo system.

Just make sure the agitation is a good match and doesn't tear the fabric.

Beware I have this machine and the bottom tank lid does not stay on and pops off spilling your water everywhere and it has done that from day one. I'm very frustrated because the company has not gotten back to me on a return or exchange or anything at all. I agree it's a great machine when it works but that lid is faulty and cheep plastic. Would not recommend it.
