This one and the New Orleans Saenger theatre RM were considered to be unofficial Wonder Morton’s for their larger specs. Of course your feelings on why this sounds like the Ohio Morton is justified mainly because of the generous acoustic both instruments enjoy.
Closing song: "Roller Coaster." "What's My Line" theme song for the end of each show. Who knew! Thank you, Mark Herman, for breathing life into the king of instruments.
With every year that passes, you become an even greater musician. In addition, your stage presence and handsome demeanor tie it all into a sensational package worthy of enrapt attention and appreciation by anyone so lucky to experience you. I tip my hat to you, dear sir.
I always love hearing this organ . . I worked on the Solana Theater relocation / installation of the core of this instrument for Organ Power Pizza many years ago, and it was always my favorite of all of the instruments we had, maybe with the exception of the Style D in the back at Pacific Beach. The Morton ensemble was always light years ahead of a Wurlitzer . . Beautifully played Mark - I think she really likes you . .
Love your piano arrangement of 'Everything's Up to Date' - Great lead in to a wonderful listening experience on the Robert Morton Organ. Played a Robert Morgan in Dallas once before it was lost to negligence.
@@williammitchell1864 what would be so special about Mr. Walken? He is just another nice guy like YOU and me (probably).Maybe a bit more famous than YOU or me..😊
thank you Mark for your wonderful concert that I gratefully listened to and enjoyed very much indeed 🙏🙏🙏 and all other people who made this possible 👍👍👍
Brilliant as usual Mark. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. It was fantastic to see the notification come up for you and it made my day.
Danke schön für Dein super Konzert Lieber Mark. Monika Wojdak aus Gemany.Habe auch nen Musik Kanal zusammen gestellt bei You Tube.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💋👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
His version of Roller Coaster is better than George Wright's. With Wright you got a tight version of the song that showed off all speed and thrill, but Herman takes you through every part of the ride, including the ramp-ups, the braking, and the final dive at the end followed by the clatter into the platform debarking. It really puts you there.
I also liked the calliope section at the beginning as Herman interpreted it... the change of chords from major to death metal dissonance effectively depicts the sick dread that suddenly hits as you realize the ride you just got on might not be your cup of tea.... and it's too late lol
Mark, excellent playing and an extremely enjoyable playlist. What was the name of the solo piano piece right before you let loose on the Morton? Also, this has to be one of the most enjoyable instruments to listen to. Definitely has it's own unique voice and character. Love that 16' Tuba Profunda on the pedal, really gives an incredible growl.

Reminds me of the “Mighty” Morton organ at the Ohio Theater in Columbus. Always a treat to hear these nearly-lost musical instruments.

Incredible performance....Mark Herman is the best!

Couldn't agree more. He certainly understands what he's got underneath him!

Amazing concert, Mark! Great musical selections. Fantastic quality room-shaking audio. You are phenomenal! Many thanks!!
Not bad on Realistic Mach 2s, I can tell you. :->
Superb performance. Love the rich full bodied tones the Morton organs have
Now that I think of it, I believe my dad was partial to Robert Morton theater organs.

Cool Mark Herman rocks! A great program!
Another nice Robert Morton is located in the county-owned Forum theater in Binghamton, NY.
Thank you for sharing so much musical happines with us.
You continue to amaze with your relaxed virtuosity and easy charm. I like the cow bell as well!
How about a set of tuned cowbells like Spike Jones?
As always brilliant reworking of old favourites.
Great program and organ. I certainly hope that wobbly organ console elevator is sturdier than it looks.
Thank You Mark......
Another fantastic performance, thank you Mark.

Fantástico!!! Show!!!
Mark Herman, would you or have you even considered teaching how to play the theater Organ?
