My dad, who is 75, started occasionally hanging on the pull up bar at his gym. He says his shoulders (some injury/discomfort before) are so much better!!
This!! Hanging is what finally relieved my chronic shoulder pain after a rotator cuff injury.
Hanging substantially improved my rotator/labrum issues from 25 yrs or construction work. Equally improved my medial epicondylitis (golfer'selbow), which I had for 21 yrs. They're not 100% cured, but they're definitely manageable, whereas before they were nearly debilitating. I had resigned to the fact that i would suffer with them forever.
It's incredible, in an unfortunate sense, how tightness can create so many problems from thin air.
It makes perfect sense: most often shoulder pains are due to impingement, inflammation of small band-like muscles inside shoulder capsules. Hanging helps immensely with relaxing shoulders, and most people just need those small moments to fix the issues

Find God.
@@hughpenner5051 well theoretically, we are God
@@hughpenner5051 @hughpenner5051 i mean I was forced to go to church most of my childhood. They lost me at portraying Jesus as a white man with blue eyes from Africa, speaking in tongues and taking people's money for no reason 😂 I ended up believing in science. Science says everything is in the universe. The universe is made of matter (antimatter as well). Matter is made of atoms. Therefore, everything in the universe is one conglomerate of atoms. This would mean that 'God' or the creator would be the only thing in existence. God is in the atoms. Thus, we are all just God 🤷🏽 The Bible even says we are made in the image of him. The observable universe and the brain are identical. Sounds like we're made in the imagination* of him. We know the Bible twists words and narratives. Makes more sense to me than singing and telling fictional stories in church for 3 hours.
@@freedomoverriches 1) God never said Jesus is white with blue eyes, that is the doing of people. Taking money is also not the work of God, that’s people.
2) just because two things are made out of atoms does not mean they are the same thing. Are you an apple just because you are both made of atoms?
3) Again, singing does not make you Christian. People created that, not God.
Church in general (in the West at least) is not at all what it should be anymore, and I think God would agree.
Could you give me an example of when the Bible twists words or narratives?

We can't avoid ageing, but we can postpone it.
I'm 40 now and I still keep fit. And when I was 30 I was in the best form of my life. 😊
So if you stay active, your body will thank you for it later.
@MakCurrel it's funny you say that. Growing up I would watch football and basketball and I would hear the ages of the players and look at people the same age as them and wonder why the players in the NFL and NBA were able to move like kids but the people around me who were the same age couldn't. I couldn't even hang on monkey bars when I was a kid (and yes, I tried, I desperately wanted to do it). I'm closer to being able to do so one-handed now (I'm at the 90/10 assistance each side). But I never understood how other kids climbed trees, jumped hurdles, swung on bars, etc. We're all the same, but also not! A good reminder that we can all work to achieve these goals, but also that we're not all starting with the same built-in abilities.
It's more like we all don't have the same tolerance to internal abuse. Anyone could do it if they ate natural foods, and spent more time away from modern health destroyers that we call luxuries. Just "monkeys on a rock in space"
Good job working on your goal. As a kid I thought it was nothing to do all that. As I got older it's near impossible.
@@mjohnson2807 oddly enough, hanging from stuff is the one athletic thing I’ve retained despite gaining 100 pounds since highschool 7 years ago 😅 my grip strength is still wild even though nothing else is anymore.
Hey one thing that I think made my grip bullet proof is rubber bands. Iron mind make some and on Amazon they have different types. Or finger tip pushups against wall or counter and eventually floor. Finger extensors are weak on a lot of people if not most. I just tried one arm hang and I can do a minute. I haven't trained anything in years. Just fasting lost 250 lbs to 265. Grip strength is so underrated

I should try that
Try to find a used pull-up bar. Sometimes they can be as low as 10/20
I do a 15 minute hang session every morning. I do it in 30-90 second intervals with a 30-60 second rest. It has completely rehabilitated my shoulders. At 44, as a tradesman my shoulders were becoming less and less stable. I just happened to come across a video suggesting it as an exercise, and decided to give it a go. At first it felt like my shoulders where ripping from tge sockets, i could onlg hang foe 10-30 seconds, but after just a week or so, it began to feel natural and i was able to extend my hang time, and shorten my rest time. Now im only limited by my grip strength.
David, the “stay flexy” guy on here did a short video on hand exercises to gain grip strength that don’t require any equipment. If you just search “hand grip strength exercise no equipment” it will pop up as one of the first videos
