      @@ForeignLifestylestory is it a spring bar or white duck? I'm a homeless veteran and I'm looking to buy an affordable canvas tent that won't be ruined by wind and such. Thanks for responding. Cheers

    The only reason I disliked this video is for the phrase " disbursed camping". It looks like you are camping like everyone else would, so why not call it what it is? Get so tired of these "trending" words for sometjing that is nothing more than what it is; camping!

    • @ForeignLifestylestory
      @ForeignLifestylestory  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed.. we lived in that tent for 18 months.. guess should call it homeless camping..we still have this tent but we up graded to a small camper in the back of our truck...

      "Dispersed camping" is a townie/urbanite term. But it's useful, because it distinguishes normal camping from organized camp grounds. I think my first time at an organized campground with RV hookups and tent sites I was in my 30s. Before that, they were always just curiosities I drove by on the way to camp for free in primitive sites. National Forest campgrounds are pretty nice, and they keep all the sewage in one place and dispose of it properly. Not everybody is responsible (most aren't) about proper latrines away from developed campgrounds. It's pretty haphazard. Burying one job is no big deal, but if you're there for any length of time, better provision needs to be made and often isn't.
      Still, more of us are more responsible than we were 50 or 100 years ago, but there're just a lot more people, now, and we put more pressure on primitive/wilderness areas just by wanting to go see them.
