If the diff mounts are shot, it's usually caused by a VCU on it's way out. They are a 70k mile service item in reality. Lookup Bell Engineering as they are highly recommended on the Landy forums.
Its going ok, few grumbles and a leaking Diff seal. Ive just clocked 103,000 and only just had to do the VCU Mounts two weeks ago and rear diff mounts a few months ago. I have heard it's a case of use it or loose it with the VCU - If its not used often its more likely to seize. Not sure how true that is but sounds logical.
nice to see your freelander still going strong? have you had any trouble with your viscous coupling unit yet? mines done 54000 miles now and rea dup it needs changing at 70,000.
