Many, including myself would discribe the fruit flavour of ESB as, "bittersweet orange". However, that's the cask version, I don't think it's quite so pronounced from the bottled version?
ESB, one of my favourite all time beers, at least the superior draught version (which is a touch darker in colour and 5.5% ABV) and I've tried thousands of beers over the decades. Unlike many breweries here it hasn't been weakened but is slightly less sweet than the recipe in the early nineties and before. London Porter is also a superb beer especially on draught. Let's hope that now the brewing side of Fullers in owned by Asahi, they don't change things too much?
excellent my first beer London Pride at 16 yrs old -

Not quite as much in the bottle, no.

Let's hope indeed! ESB is a terrific beer, would be a shame if they ruined it.
