So sad these mormons are so deceived. I truly believe they think that their doing the right thing and that they have good intentions. It's truly a cult, but a very wealthy cult with power and influence. What I like best about this channel is how Peter respectfully asks the questions that an outsider would ask and then lets the subjects answer without interruption or interpretation. Well done.

totally agree. Peter shows genuine curiosity about other people's lifestyles, religion, and beliefs. He meets them as fellow human beings and seems genuinely interested in their lives.

What I like best about this channel is how many of the married women featured here aren't even faithful to their own spouse. From the start, Jennifer was literally flirting with Peter and then at 54:27, she GAZED at him and then HUGGED him for almost five seconds until 54:32. Why do Gen X guys let their wife hug other men? I’m a 20 year old Mennonite from Pennsylvania, and I just love these videos. I love being able to learn more about different cultures and religions, and Peter’s videos are so interesting! So eye-opening and honest. Always get excited when a new video comes out. 😆

Peter is bringing humanity back together one video at a time. If you really watch and listen you can learn from each episode that we are all here to be a part of this great big melting pot of a world. Sure there are those that do not belong in society and just have evil in their hearts but for the majority of us we do have love and kindness. We just have to get out of our shell open our minds and hearts to those around us, this world our society can be kind and caring. I've always treated others the way I want to be treated. Don't really need Peter or anyone to "open my eyes" to other beliefs. I was raised southern Baptist and still am a SB, but I accept we all worship any way we want as long as we don't fly planes into a skyscraper or randomly attack another people based on their religion.

I'm 100% Catholic and would never change my religion, but one of my best friends is Mormon and I have never met such an amazing and honest person. I truly believe as long as we are honest and treat people with respect within Christian beliefs we will be fine.

Don’t know how anyone could call themselves catholic. The church is corrupt, full of perverse scandals. @@cws4657 I just breezed through the video, but I saw joy, happiness, a truly Christlike love for those different than them. I especially like the closing prayer, how they prayed for both Palestinians and Israelites, and prayed for the leaders of the nations. Just playing the odds here, but I'd guess these guys are mostly conservative right-wingers to one extend or another. But the Spirit testifies that we must love one another.

I live in Texas and am ever so thankful that I ran into the missionaries. I ran into them and we were trying to solve an issue with some baby kittens in the mail room at our apartments. They had badges in Spanish and I had no idea what they said, but I asked them lots of questions over months. They were the ONLY people who were able to answer all my questions and I have been a livelong seeker of the scriptures. I could type so so so much more but will stop and finish the video, but just wanted to give a shout out to all missionaries who take time out to answer questions from true seekers of Christ followers. I listened and didn't have any preconceived prejudice about them. I am also single and didn't have to convince anyone else to think about anything. I love the weekly communion even though I am usually late, I love the daily study of scriptures, and now all the podcasts that unpack the scriptures. Last year I read the Old Testament word for word and in a month I will have done the New Testament word for word (I have done both many many times) and with discussions about it every other week. I love the worshipful music, the modest dress, the going home after church to rest and eat and not making a waitress or waiter work on Sunday serving me,.I just love the way my life is. I was always in church before and very active but all around me I saw young people in my church all the churches I went to that had issues with drinking and sleeping around and not reading scriptures, prayer was a gossip or bragging session, only those who were rich or friend with someone important got to do leadership roles. Something was always missing. I wanted to focus to be on studying to be more Christ-like and all I found was rock concerts, I felt like I was in a movie theater and a dressing contest. Here, I feel like I am in a holy place of reverence, and worship and learning and sincere study.

Great video. I’m a Christian and never knew much about LDS except the rumors . I have been volunteering at a Food Pantry for the last 4 years in a small town in NC and have meet many wonderful LDS doing their 2yr mission work. They have always been nice , helpful and willing to talk to us about their Faith. We all need God in our lives. 🙏🏻
I’m Polynesia been living here in Utah for three yrs now. I’ve left the church in 2010 and listening to this group of people talking about the church again brings me to tears. I would love to sit at their table and listen and be revived again. I left the church coz I was hurt and misunderstood by my bishopric

I grew up in Utah. I was non Mormon. These folks humbly presented their thoughts and beliefs. It was not easy being a non Mormon but that people find common ground is huge. I appreciate hearing thoughts and practices within the family that I never heard even being there until my early 20's.... The Mormons always support their people. Thank you to these folks, and to you for presenting these insights ...
I always loved Utah and had a desire of living there. Though I was told by a few people that living in Utah as a non Mormon would be nearly impossible to make a living with a decent job and finding someone to marry that wasn’t a Mormon and that the people there would be very prejudice against you. I think that there’s truth to that and that used to be the case once upon a time but it sounds like a lot has changed. Great to see that.
You are an exactly right. Mormons keep to their own group even though they like coverts-for a time being. Lived in Utah., married a Mormon. I had been previously married for over 22 yrs., we were married in SL City temple. Manipulated. No longer LDS. I’m back to my original faith I was raised in. Mormon husband took advantage of so called Priesthood. My four children all grown up now also had bad experience. They do not support LDS Faith. To this day I have dear friends who are Mormon but I do not support this so called faith-a cult.

Actually it's been starting to become the opposite where some people are discriminating against Mormons to the point my mother in law was asked if she was and if she was she can't rent from them. Do I understand where they are coming from? Yeah Mormons can be a little ridiculous sometimes but 95% are just people that like to take care of one another and even donate gifts to people on Christmas like my family (I still have my faith but never go to church). I’ve lived in South Jordan, Taylorsville and now Midvale. Maybe it’s my choices but so far most are anti social, rude and love gossip. I’ve lost tw friend groups because some talked about a person while not around. I told that person to go tell them, not me. Both times I heard from NO ONE from either group again. Meaning they probably told the person I was the one saying something to cover their tracks. Non violent? Yea. But welcoming? No. I say morning to ppl walking and I get nothing or a shocked look. I was skating down a back road, first week here. A woman drives right next time to me. No horn, no slow down, nothing. I could touch her if her window was down. It shocked me and made me loose balance and fall. A skid about 30/40 feet downhill. She just kept driving. Weird how it’s a truly 180 from some ppl.

As members, we get criticized for being too friendly, annoying, not friendly enough, my favorite thing to do is become friends with someone without any discussion of religion up front unless it comes up. I'd rather get to know people for who they are first. There are good people in and out of every religion.

My son married a Mormon woman. He is not. Her whole family i have met are the kindest people i have ever met. My DIL is so kind and tolerant of my son and doesnt push her beliefs on anyone. I love their sense of community. Theyre not FLDS by any stretch. I am so thankful for my DIL she has helped my son is so many ways. I am anxious to learn more about their beliefs.

I was already a fan/subscriber but seeing MY way of life presented in a fair, open, and thoughtful way is so endearing. Hear! hear! As a former Mormon who grew up in the church and hasn't been part of it in more than 20 years, I agree 100%! I have always felt it important to stand up for MY people and make sure they are fairly and accurately represented, even though I don't share their religions beliefs.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints, my favorite part of this video is the discussion of callings near the end - this is such a true part of our day-to-day lives that a lot of people don’t think of. I play piano for church and my husband and I teach seminary (Bible study) to high school kids at our house at 6am every school day, on top of our full time jobs and parenting our own teens. It’s joyful but it’s busy. At 5:45am each day I think - I hate my calling, and by 6:45am I think - I love my calling. Waking up is hard but the kids are great.
Hey I’m a seminary teacher too! People do overlook the selfless service without pay. It’s amazing to me to see people do this because they care. They love God and want to please God. What great joy it brings to the soul.

Hopefully Peter has a video that has a bit more of reality in it, because these last two have been full of some lies. If he fails to, do yourself a favor and do your own research. Like the fact that they do still believe in polygamy, just in the afterlife. Funny how they didn’t mention that. They do baptism for the dead. mormons are definitely misunderstood as far as what to expect. grew up around them my entire upbringing, a lot of them, and they were some of my and my families best friends. countless memories hanging out with their families, even when they knew i was actively up to no good outside of my interactions with them. much like this family, all it ever felt like was "you can be amazing, you can do well, just try a lil harder" and i loved em for it. great video

I'm from Utah county originally and I am ASHAMED that so many people there support the criminal Trump. It's absolutely appalling! My grandpa owned the grocery stores in Spanish Fork and Payson in the 50's and 60's. He's rolling over in his grave over this travesty of ethics!

I’ve never had a negative view of the LDS church. I grew up with them for years, as a child. Many good friends were of that faith. I feel blessed to have been welcomed in to their family’s lives on weekends and in summer. Many a Sunday, I was attending church with them. My own family wasn’t the same. Beautiful people. ❤❤❤❤
I'm an Evangelical Christian and my best friends are Mormon. I have never met better, kinder or more amazing people than they are. We are all currently reading the Bible through the year and then we discuss it. Of course, we have differences, however, I consider them my family and vice versa. I love the fact that they are so family oriented. We always have such a great time when we get together.
No Mormon would read the Holy Bible with a non-Mormon. I'm sorry, they aren't allowed to do that. I believe you're a Mormon posing as an evangelical Christian. And the differences are GLARING. Mormons believe that Satan and Jesus are brothers. That's one HUGE difference.

They helped me pack and, instead of having to rent a moving van, they loaded my belongings into a trailer, drove with me to my new home, unloaded, unpacked, and helped me move in. They refused any money for gas, and, as they were leaving we all burst into tears because we wouldn't be able to see each other as often. After they left, I discovered that they had also unloaded 5 large plastic containers and left them. When I opened them, I discovered that they'd packed brand new towels, soap, cleaning supplies in one container. There were 3 containers of food, and the last container was filled with heirloom seeds (of many varieties), as well as 5 different kinds of seed potatoes. So I'm not quite sure if you meant your question to be snarky or serious, however, they gave me enough food for several months, but the heirloom seeds were planted every year since I've lived here, food has been harvested, and seeds preserved for next year...so they've given me enough to provide food for the rest of my life. But our friendship is not about how much food they gave me. They are family to me and we love and support each other despite the differences in our beliefs.
It is a great channel and I enjoyed the video, but there certainly is bias. These members are presenting the church in the way that they want you to see it. Some of their asnwers and pretty misinformed and are said in a way to make you think the church is great while hiding lots of the bad stuff.

You have a lovely dinner, and you truly open your heart about your life and your experiences and your beliefs. Does that person leave and call you a fake and a liar because you didn't divulge every single thing that has ever been said or done in your family at this 1st social dinner? Would YOU seriously do that? Love thinks the best about people. Hate is automatically thinking the worst. My point is, think the best about these people and their sincere intentions. Everything is not a conspiracy and/or cover-up.

I Am a member from eastern europe. Church really saved my life from a disaster. I love the church. I know church is not perfect, but so rearly I see some one like you make a positive content about us. We have so much hate and legal hate. There are musicals on broadway and all over the world humiliating us, tons of youtube videos full of hate and misleading information. This is so refreshing. Thank you for your honasty! ❤
I will admit part of me thought what I heard at first was absurd, but the first time the Holy Ghost spoke too me I was in Utah, and the word I received was Patience. On the Third Day of hearing the Gospel it Chastized me...I was such a Fool full of Pride that I had known all there was to know about the Gospel when in reality as the TH-camr David Alexander puts it I was on the Fast Track too Atheism.
The Book Of Mormon musical pokes fun at a lot of aspect of the religion but within the show, rightfully so, but the two missionaries in the play are kind, earnest, and doing their best to be a positive force in the world which is a pretty good depiction of the people within the religion. If you apply Mathew's 'You Will Know Them by Their Fruits' concept applied to Mormon's you'll understand that the musical has a pretty positive message about Mormon's as people basted on the character of the 2 missionaries in the play....And the best part is the Mormon's put out an advertisement for their religion in the musicals pamphlet showing that the leaders of the religion have class and character as well. Imagine if it was 'The book of Islam' instead of 'The Book of Mormon' we would see a very different kind of fruit on display. So while Mormons are ridiculed for their absurd beliefs everyone respects them for the fruits of their labor.

I’m not active in the church for a long time, but I listen still the teachings. I’m not the best. I live in the world now. Food storage saved me during the pandemic. I didn’t worry about it. I learned to save some food. I moved away and live in SC and Im starting over again. This time I get to teach my roommate how important it is.
Not all of their teaching are good. Many can be, though. But don't let the facade fool you. Many of the most unstable people I know are Mormon and have never once strayed from the church or it's teachings.

Peter, thank you for all your videos but especially for your Mormon videos and the Jewish videos. I actually fall into both of these categories as a "Mormon Jew." My mom's side of the family is Jewish but she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was a kid. I appreciated the Sister that said she loves the Jewish people and you are right about us getting nervous when a camera comes out. I was in church one Sunday and approached some protesters outside of our building. They were very critical and mean especially when they saw my Star of David necklace that I was wearing. They edited their video before posting it on TH-cam twisting my words to suit their purpose. Thank you again for your unbiased, and honest approach to get to know people from different lifestyles/choices. God bless you and never forget that you are His beloved son.
I'm an Orthodox Jew and it's so interesting to hear about their relationship with the Jewish people and the nature of their religion as opposed to ours. Nothing but respect. 🤝

One of the coolest things about our church is that you can walk into virtually any congregation in the world and immediately feel like you're home. Even if you barely speak the language. That's the feeling I get when I listen to these people talk. I know them, even though we all just met them.
There is so much to admire about the LDS and their striving to live a good moral life. I don't agree with their theology, but I do think that there's a lot to learn from them. I would be happy to call them friends! Thanks for bringing this series to us.
I'm LDS and have live outside of Utah my whole life. Most of my friends are evangelical, Catholic, or Jewish. We love and respect each other even though we have theological differences. I feel that my life has been deeply blessed by their influence.
Oh, that is one of the nicest comments I have seen here. We do hope if people don't accept our religion that there is something good they can hold on to, we have a lot offer. Because that is what we say to other people "come with all the good you have and we are just adding to it".

I'm always so impressed by the measured, open and kind demeanor of people from the LDS church. Everyone I have met who is Mormon has been a pleasure to talk to and hear their opinions on things.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches that the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost are and have always been 3 separate and distinct beings that work together as one, in purpose. Each of the creeds of Christianity, in particular the post biblical doctrine of Trinitarianism are an abomination unto the Lord.
I grew up near Hill cumorah, I was a troubled teenager & joined an LDS youth group, I met so many kind, good people. My Mom, a stanch Catholic promptly yanked me when I mentioned I wanted to explore joining the LDS. I still think kindly of those people & have several practicing LDS friends ❤
It's never too late. Your mom probably meant well, but now you can choose. Give the missionaries a call. They would love to help you explore the church.
Book of Mormon is full of errors. Archaeologists have tried proving its sources. None of it has been validated unlike the bible which has physical places.

I grew up on Utah mostly. Shunned because we were not church goers. One day I went by myself to young ladies class. The other girls looked at me. Turned around and went home.

My family is experiencing a rift, with my brother outright refusing to come to gatherings and ignoring my parents. We all with the exception of my sister live in close proximity to each other. These fine people reminded me that I can turn to God and pray for guidance on how to approach and deal with this situation rather than feeling hopeless. As Mormons, we never read the entire Bible and studied it, if we did, members would know that they aren't following Christ. Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers. They also baptize dead people. That is hardly Biblical.

I was locked up when I prayed about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My answer from God was to join, I was released, and after getting off parole, I served a full-time mission in Brazil. 22 years later I have a wonderful family and have beaten the odds with Jesus Christ as my Savior. *10 years of rehabs,group homes, and other treatments could not help me with my problems, only the restored gospel of Jesus Christ could. My husband and I served a mission teaching at 3 different prisons in Nevada. I truly loved every man that we had the privilege of sharing the gospel with. I felt the Spirit of Jesus Christ stronger there, in those prisons, than I have felt in any calling I have had. The very foundation of our religion is repenting and forgiveness through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Again, thank you for sharing ❤️

Just because someone speaks truth does not mean they are unkind. The LDS church has real issues with the TRINITY. This is not unkind to say it. It's just a fact. You need to be warned. This is a matter of life in heaven or death in hell forever.

I have moved in Utah last year. It is the best decision I took in my life. The LDS community is the most welcoming one the whole world. My wife and I are happy to live in this family centered society.

Just remember that Judas Iscariot was also a Christian. Being a Christian simply means to follow a christ, it doesn’t actually mean that you are following Jesus Christ himself, and have believed in the gospel of your salvation. Being a Christian does not mean that you are actually a believer in the gospel and the one true triune GOD father son, Holy Spirit. Being a Christian does not mean that you have eternal salvation from eternal torment and damnation.

Many self proclaimed Christians are like this. They say they believe in God, but they don’t actually know who He really is, because they’ve followed false teachings and heretical doctrines, that miss represent who God actually is, through His Son Jesus. Any perversion of the Bible destroys who Jesus/God is. God the Son, the Son of God, part of the triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. A little leaven truly leavens the whole lot, sadly. Jesus said to beware of false prophets, because He knew there would be many. He said that even if an angel of God came down, that if the message contradicts the Living Gospel in any way, that whoever shares the message would be cursed. Galatians 1:8. The Bible also tells us how to know what a prophet is, and if they’re really from God. According to the Word of God, prophesy has ended with Jesus’ life, death, burial and resurrection. What the apostles did was propheCY, which is to speak the WORD. Not to see into the future. Also, if any prophecy does not come about, it is false, and the prophet is FALSE and there are a plethora of scriptures on this, even unto the death of the accused. There has been no modern day prophet since Jesus Himself, that has a perfect record of “Prophecy/prophesy” whatsoever, yet people keep wanting their ears tickled by them, instead of the Words of Jesus. It’s part of our sin nature and the human dilemma, and it is WRONG.

Yes. They are surface-level friendly and will only see you as a project to be converted if you get closer to them and some will cut off contact with their own kids if they leave the church or turn out to be gay. Most of them are nice, but not kind.
I’ve lived here for 10 years. No they are not. Antisocial and drive like a bat out of hell. I almost get into wrecks every time I drive after 3pm. It’s nonviolent, true. But back stabbing, feeling alone, is a major issue. Also, their missionaries call themselves Christians. That’s a lie.

I was a Mormon. It is NOT a beneficial organization. He should do a piece on their financial empire and how the leaders live in fabulous luxury on member tithings.
@snowdroog1 Our current president was a world-renowned heart surgeon. Absolute top of his field. His counselor was a Utah Supreme Court Judge and extremely successful in his career. Others have been president s of universities and other stellar careers. They made good money in their careers and have nice things as a result of hard work. Their work as apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ requires them to travel all over the world preaching the gospel. They get a small stipend for this. It does not come from tithing. They literally work until the grave claims them in the cause of Christ! The president is in his 100th year of life and still serving. To try to muddy their contributions to the world, the church, and the work of Jesus Christ is reprehensible!

Life long Utahan. I come from 5 generations of Utah non LDS ancestors. My family has a long history of living with and friendship with LDS people. I love the LDS people. The vast majority of them are kind, loving, generous humans. Best neighbors ever.

I work in the LDS community of Moapa Valley Nevada and they are some of the nicest, friendliest people I have come across since growing up in Wisconsin. I have truly enjoyed getting to know everyone in the community. I live in Las Vegas and was looking to work in a smaller more tight knit community as a nurse. My daughter recently moved to St George Utah to go to the University and lives in a “ Mormon standards” apartment shared with all LDS girls. We are not LDS but have thoroughly enjoyed the kindness and openness that the LDS community has given us. I will also tell you that I was a bit surprised by this at first.I had a cousin who married into the LDS community years ago and he stopped communicating with us because we were not Mormon. I haven’t spoken to him in almost 20 plus years and even tried reaching out. Im not sure if there is an old version and a new version LDS way. I also have an old high school friend who is now gay and has lost all contact with his family due to his new lifestyle. He is no longer LDS. So, I have seen both sides. I know LDS people that I work with Family is everything. I believe many people today are missing that family structure. I still take away a positive view from the LDS people that I have come across and enjoyed this video.
Sadly there are some people in the LDS faith who do not know how to maintain relationships with those that have left or strayed. But it is 1000% not our belief to shun. We believe in following Christ's example - and he ate and hung around everybody. However sometimes we will be selective about who we date and have close friendships with because we want good influences in our day to day lives and less temptation. Overall though, shunning is not a belief we hold. It's unfortunate when someone chooses that route. It should be the opposite.

I've had difficult experiences with some members of the church, but most have been uplifting and hopeful to be around and enjoy. I really do believe most try to follow Christ's example in following his counsel to love our neighbor. My daughter has made some huge changes in her personal choices and preferences. We have tried to maintain our love for each other even at times when she rejected us and kept us at arms length. Its been very hard to watch her struggle. When she was about 12 she had some acquaintences who told her beause we were LDS that we would shun, hate and probably kick her out of the house. She accepted that as truth. It was a very difficult two years before she understood that our love never changed. There were time we thought we'd lost her. I wish she was doing some thing differently in her life, but that doesn't affect my love for her. I pray that you will be able to find those bright spots in life and maintain and restore the bonds of love in your family.
It's funny that you hear stories like this and think....who are these people that are shunning others because of their beliefs but apparently they are out there. As a member of the church the only time I've seen shunning is when members leave the Church and won't associate with their former friends. I've seen that a few times.
When I was younger I would judge other faiths and religion harshly for not changing the world into the view I like, as I grew older I realized that's not how the world works, and that we need a support system to pull us through tough time, I like this video like so many other videos Peter puts out, and always appreciate the level of honesty in those exchanges.
As an atheist I was the same. Had to mature and realize that religion serves as a support system for people and I don’t wanna take that away from them.
I respect LDS members immensely. I’m a Christian and was always told the Church of LDS was a cult and not Christian. In Peter’s two videos,I’ve not seeing that, nor did I see it with the people I personally dealt with. I did business with a member who was a huge help to me. He was so helpful and introduced me to two young gentleman who were missionaries. Kinder, nicer people I’m never met. Peter has introduced me to wonderful people such as Titus Morris. Peter does a wonderful job and treats each person with great respect and allows them the opportunity to speak without judgement. Thank you Peter.

Ive been doing my family's genealogy for years. When I found my Great x whatever grandmother was Agatha Woolsey's sister, it was like hitting gold. She did not travel from IL with the group or adopt their beliefs, but because of the Mormons my family has information we would never of had. For that alone I am grateful to them.

I love this I've never known that Mormons were like this and that polygamy is not allowed it is a true eye-opener. Also, I normally do not like long-form just talking except very certain podcasts so breezing through 40 minutes of hearing them talk is crazy I feel a trust towards these people.
Polygamy and incest is allowed, it just depends on which sub-cult you are talking with. These stories are online, narrated in detail by those who have bein raised in that environment.
@Gwaycee - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prohibits polygamy and incest. Other churches that practice or condone this behavior are not same Church. There are no churches named Mormon. Mormonism is a nickname where all groups are bunched together even when they don't believe or allow the same things. That's a reason why using the correct name of a Church is important so to minimize confusion.

The LdS church allows for polygamy today. Their current prophet and his successor are both married/sealed in the temple to multiple women. It can't happen until their current wife dies or they divorce, but they believe they will have those women and more in "heaven".
Watching from Australia. 5th generation LDS here in Oz. These guys reflect the international values and mindset of the church. Everything discussed and taught is the same in the Church, even in the land down under.

I was born LDS. I had a falling out with God a long time ago, but as of maybe 6 years ago I rekindled my relationship with God and it's now stronger than ever. I really love these videos man. You ARE doing God's work not only by doing these videos but all the others that you have done. They all shed light on so many lives that normally would go unheard. Thank you so much!!

As a born Muslim person I enjoy so much about learning about other people’s believes and religions. I lived most of my life in Australia and made friends with people of different backgrounds and beliefs. I am both proud and happy to have best friends who are devoted to Christians . Our friendships are based on pure respect for each other. Thank you for sharing this enlightening program with us 😊

I think the thing I have learned the most from watching your videos from Utah, Arizona, Appalachia, the Bayou, the Native American reservations, the inner city and deep south is that we are not as divided as we are led to believe. Mormons probably do friendlness and hospitality better then many christians. I'm a Christian, but living in a place like Utah seems pretty refreshing compared to many other places these days.

Spiritual Dependence
My approach to your growth is basically to make you independent of me. Any kind of dependence is slavery, and the spiritual dependence is the worst slavery of all. I have been making every effort to make you aware of your individuality, your freedom, your absolute capacity to grow without any help from anybody. Your growth is something intrinsic to your being. It does not come from outside; it is not an imposition, it is an unfolding.
All the meditation techniques that I have given to you are not dependent on me ― my presence or absence will not make any difference ― they are dependent on you. It is not my presence, but your presence that is needed for them to work. It is not my being here but your being here, your being in the present, your being alert and aware that is going to help.

So sad these mormons are so deceived. I truly believe they think that their doing the right thing and that they have good intentions. It's truly a cult, but a very wealthy cult with power and influence. Their beliefs contradict the Holy Bible, If you dig deep into their beliefs, you will find they truly believe they can become gods, which is the same lie Satan told eve in the garden Gen:3. I can go on and on. Sadly their doing a disservice to Peter saying he's a child of God is such a lie, Peter doesn't even believe Jesus is the Son of God, God in flesh. What I like best about this channel is how Peter respectfully asks the questions that an outsider would ask and then lets the subjects answer without interruption or interpretation. Well done.

What I like best about this channel is how many of the married women featured here aren't even faithful to their own spouse. From the start, Jennifer was literally flirting with Peter and then at 54:27, she GAZED at him and then HUGGED him for almost five seconds until 54:32. Why do Gen X guys let their wife hug other men? If you really watch and listen you can learn from each episode that we are all here to be a part of this great big melting pot of a world. I've always treated others the way I want to be treated. Don't really need Peter or anyone to "open my eyes" to other beliefs. I was raised southern Baptist and still am a SB, but I accept we all worship any way we want as long as we don't fly planes into a skyscraper or randomly attack another people based on their religion.
So tragic this cult has blasphemed the Word of God and deceived so many from knowing the real Jesus.

I'm 100% Catholic and would never change my religion, but one of my best friends is Mormon and I have never met such an amazing and honest person. I truly believe as long as we are honest and treat people with respect within Christian beliefs we will be fine.

I especially like the closing prayer, how they prayed for both Palestinians and Israelites, and prayed for the leaders of the nations. I live in Texas and am ever so thankful that I ran into the missionaries. I ran into them and we were trying to solve an issue with some baby kittens in the mail room at our apartments. They had badges in Spanish and I had no idea what they said, but I asked them lots of questions over months. They were the ONLY people who were able to answer all my questions and I have been a livelong seeker of the scriptures. I could type so so so much more but will stop and finish the video, but just wanted to give a shout out to all missionaries who take time out to answer questions from true seekers of Christ followers. I listened and didn't have any preconceived prejudice about them. I am also single and didn't have to convince anyone else to think about anything. I love the weekly communion even though I am usually late, I love the daily study of scriptures, and now all the podcasts that unpack the scriptures. Last year I read the Old Testament word for word and in a month I will have done the New Testament word for word (I have done both many many times) and with discussions about it every other week. I love the worshipful music, the modest dress, the going home after church to rest and eat and not making a waitress or waiter work on Sunday serving me,.I just love the way my life is. I was always in church before and very active but all around me I saw young people in my church all the churches I went to that had issues with drinking and sleeping around and not reading scriptures, prayer was a gossip or bragging session, only those who were rich or friend with someone important got to do leadership roles. Something was always missing. I wanted to focus to be on studying to be more Christ-like and all I found was rock concerts, I felt like I was in a movie theater and a dressing contest. Here, I feel like I am in a holy place of reverence, and worship and learning and sincere study.

Great video. I’m a Christian and never knew much about LDS except the rumors . I have been volunteering at a Food Pantry for the last 4 years in a small town in NC and have meet many wonderful LDS doing their 2yr mission work. They have always been nice , helpful and willing to talk to us about their Faith. We all need God in our lives. 🙏🏻

I grew up in Utah. I was non Mormon. These folks humbly presented their thoughts and beliefs. It was not easy being a non Mormon but that people find common ground is huge. I appreciate hearing thoughts and practices within the family that I never heard even being there until my early 20's.... The Mormons always support their people. Thank you to these folks, and to you for presenting these insights ...
I always loved Utah and had a desire of living there. Though I was told by a few people that living in Utah as a non Mormon would be nearly impossible to make a living with a decent job and finding someone to marry that wasn’t a Mormon and that the people there would be very prejudice against you. I think that there’s truth to that and that used to be the case once upon a time but it sounds like a lot has changed. Great to see that.

Actually it's been starting to become the opposite where some people are discriminating against Mormons to the point my mother in law was asked if she was and if she was she can't rent from them. Do I understand where they are coming from? Yeah Mormons can be a little ridiculous sometimes but 95% are just people that like to take care of one another and even donate gifts to people on Christmas like my family (I still have my faith but never go to church). I’ve lived in South Jordan, Taylorsville and now Midvale.
Maybe it’s my choices but so far most are anti social, rude and love gossip. I’ve lost tw friend groups because some talked about a person while not around. I told that person to go tell them, not me. Both times I heard from NO ONE from either group again. Meaning they probably told the person I was the one saying something to cover their tracks.
Non violent? Yea. But welcoming? No. I say morning to ppl walking and I get nothing or a shocked look. I was skating down a back road, first week here. A woman drives right next time to me. No horn, no slow down, nothing. I could touch her if her window was down. It shocked me and made me loose balance and fall. A skid about 30/40 feet downhill. She just kept driving.

It is human nature especially today to keep to yourself and mind your own business. As members, we get criticized for being too friendly, annoying, not friendly enough, my favorite thing to do is become friends with someone without any discussion of religion up front unless it comes up. I'd rather get to know people for who they are first. There are good people in and out of every religion.

My son married a Mormon woman. He is not. Her whole family i have met are the kindest people i have ever met. My DIL is so kind and tolerant of my son and doesnt push her beliefs on anyone. I love their sense of community. Theyre not FLDS by any stretch. I am so thankful for my DIL she has helped my son is so many ways. I am anxious to learn more about their beliefs.
How did they get married? Don't they need to be sealed in the temple? If they didn't get sealed how did the mormon family feel?

I was already a fan/subscriber but seeing MY way of life presented in a fair, open, and thoughtful way is so endearing. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints, my favorite part of this video is the discussion of callings near the end - this is such a true part of our day-to-day lives that a lot of people don’t think of. I play piano for church and my husband and I teach seminary (Bible study) to high school kids at our house at 6am every school day, on top of our full time jobs and parenting our own teens. It’s joyful but it’s busy. At 5:45am each day I think - I hate my calling, and by 6:45am I think - I love my calling. Waking up is hard but the kids are great.
Hey I’m a seminary teacher too! People do overlook the selfless service without pay. It’s amazing to me to see people do this because they care. They love God and want to please God. What great joy it brings to the soul.

I’ve never had a negative view of the LDS church. I grew up with them for years, as a child. Many good friends were of that faith. I feel blessed to have been welcomed in to their family’s lives on weekends and in summer. Many a Sunday, I was attending church with them. My own family wasn’t the same. Beautiful people. ❤❤❤❤
I'm an Evangelical Christian and my best friends are Mormon. I have never met better, kinder or more amazing people than they are. We are all currently reading the Bible through the year and then we discuss it. Of course, we have differences, however, I consider them my family and vice versa. I love the fact that they are so family oriented. We always have such a great time when we get together.
No Mormon would read the Holy Bible with a non-Mormon. I'm sorry, they aren't allowed to do that. I believe you're a Mormon posing as an evangelical Christian. And the differences are GLARING. Mormons believe that Satan and Jesus are brothers. That's one HUGE difference.

They helped me pack and, instead of having to rent a moving van, they loaded my belongings into a trailer, drove with me to my new home, unloaded, unpacked, and helped me move in. They refused any money for gas, and, as they were leaving we all burst into tears because we wouldn't be able to see each other as often. After they left, I discovered that they had also unloaded 5 large plastic containers and left them. When I opened them, I discovered that they'd packed brand new towels, soap, cleaning supplies in one container. There were 3 containers of food, and the last container was filled with heirloom seeds (of many varieties), as well as 5 different kinds of seed potatoes.
So I'm not quite sure if you meant your question to be snarky or serious, however, they gave me enough food for several months, but the heirloom seeds were planted every year since I've lived here, food has been harvested, and seeds preserved for next year...so they've given me enough to provide food for the rest of my life. But our friendship is not about how much food they gave me. They are family to me and we love and support each other despite the differences in our beliefs.

It is a great channel and I enjoyed the video, but there certainly is bias. These members are presenting the church in the way that they want you to see it. Some of their asnwers and pretty misinformed and are said in a way to make you think the church is great while hiding lots of the bad stuff.

I will admit part of me thought what I heard at first was absurd, but the first time the Holy Ghost spoke too me I was in Utah, and the word I received was Patience. On the Third Day of hearing the Gospel it Chastized me...I was such a Fool full of Pride that I had known all there was to know about the Gospel when in reality as the TH-camr David Alexander puts it I was on the Fast Track too Atheism.

The Book Of Mormon musical pokes fun at a lot of aspect of the religion but within the show, rightfully so, but the two missionaries in the play are kind, earnest, and doing their best to be a positive force in the world which is a pretty good depiction of the people within the religion. If you apply Mathew's 'You Will Know Them by Their Fruits' concept applied to Mormon's you'll understand that the musical has a pretty positive message about Mormon's as people basted on the character of the 2 missionaries in the play....And the best part is the Mormon's put out an advertisement for their religion in the musicals pamphlet showing that the leaders of the religion have class and character as well. Imagine if it was 'The book of Islam' instead of 'The Book of Mormon' we would see a very different kind of fruit on display. So while Mormons are ridiculed for their absurd beliefs everyone respects them for the fruits of their labor.
The church is perfect, because of that we call it the only one true on the earth, cause its the christ church, but people there arent perfect

I’m not active in the church for a long time, but I listen still the teachings. I’m not the best. I live in the world now. Food storage saved me during the pandemic. I didn’t worry about it. I learned to save some food. I moved away and live in SC and Im starting over again. This time I get to teach my roommate how important it is.
Not all of their teaching are good. Many can be, though. But don't let the facade fool you. Many of the most unstable people I know are Mormon and have never once strayed from the church or it's teachings.

Peter, thank you for all your videos but especially for your Mormon videos and the Jewish videos. I actually fall into both of these categories as a "Mormon Jew." My mom's side of the family is Jewish but she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was a kid. I appreciated the Sister that said she loves the Jewish people and you are right about us getting nervous when a camera comes out. I was in church one Sunday and approached some protesters outside of our building. They were very critical and mean especially when they saw my Star of David necklace that I was wearing. They edited their video before posting it on TH-cam twisting my words to suit their purpose. Thank you again for your unbiased, and honest approach to get to know people from different lifestyles/choices. God bless you and never forget that you are His beloved son.

Yeah they got in trouble a few years ago for baptizing dead Jews in proxy in the temple in Salt Lake. It was not so funny to many Jews.
One of the coolest things about our church is that you can walk into virtually any congregation in the world and immediately feel like you're home. Even if you barely speak the language. That's the feeling I get when I listen to these people talk. I know them, even though we all just met them.

I'm LDS and have live outside of Utah my whole life. Most of my friends are evangelical, Catholic, or Jewish. We love and respect each other even though we have theological differences. I feel that my life has been deeply blessed by their influence.
Oh, that is one of the nicest comments I have seen here. We do hope if people don't accept our religion that there is something good they can hold on to, we have a lot offer. Because that is what we say to other people "come with all the good you have and we are just adding to it".

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches that the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost are and have always been 3 separate and distinct beings that work together as one, in purpose. Each of the creeds of Christianity, in particular the post biblical doctrine of Trinitarianism are an abomination unto the Lord.
I grew up near Hill cumorah, I was a troubled teenager & joined an LDS youth group, I met so many kind, good people. My Mom, a stanch Catholic promptly yanked me when I mentioned I wanted to explore joining the LDS. I still think kindly of those people & have several practicing LDS friends ❤

Book of Mormon is full of errors. Archaeologists have tried proving its sources. None of it has been validated unlike the bible which has physical places.

My family is experiencing a rift, with my brother outright refusing to come to gatherings and ignoring my parents. We all with the exception of my sister live in close proximity to each other. These fine people reminded me that I can turn to God and pray for guidance on how to approach and deal with this situation rather than feeling hopeless. As Mormons, we never read the entire Bible and studied it, if we did, members would know that they aren't following Christ. Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers. They also baptize dead people. That is hardly Biblical.

I was locked up when I prayed about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My answer from God was to join, I was released, and after getting off parole, I served a full-time mission in Brazil. 22 years later I have a wonderful family and have beaten the odds with Jesus Christ as my Savior. *10 years of rehabs,group homes, and other treatments could not help me with my problems, only the restored gospel of Jesus Christ could. My husband and I served a mission teaching at 3 different prisons in Nevada. I truly loved every man that we had the privilege of sharing the gospel with. I felt the Spirit of Jesus Christ stronger there, in those prisons, than I have felt in any calling I have had. I have learned so much through this series. Thank you for being willing to seek out people from all cultures and faiths to help us to be a more understanding society. I love what the man said about if you are having a bad day, go out and help someone else. That action has the power to solve so many problems for the giver as well as the receiver. Just because someone speaks truth does not mean they are unkind. The LDS church has real issues with the TRINITY. This is not unkind to say it. It's just a fact. You need to be warned. This is a matter of life in heaven or death in hell forever.

Many self proclaimed Christians are like this. They say they believe in God, but they don’t actually know who He really is, because they’ve followed false teachings and heretical doctrines, that miss represent who God actually is, through His Son Jesus.
Any perversion of the Bible destroys who Jesus/God is. God the Son, the Son of God, part of the triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
A little leaven truly leavens the whole lot, sadly. Jesus said to beware of false prophets, because He knew there would be many. He said that even if an angel of God came down, that if the message contradicts the Living Gospel in any way, that whoever shares the message would be cursed. Galatians 1:8.
The Bible also tells us how to know what a prophet is, and if they’re really from God. According to the Word of God, prophesy has ended with Jesus’ life, death, burial and resurrection. What the apostles did was propheCY, which is to speak the WORD. Not to see into the future.
Also, if any prophecy does not come about, it is false, and the prophet is FALSE and there are a plethora of scriptures on this, even unto the death of the accused.
There has been no modern day prophet since Jesus Himself, that has a perfect record of “Prophecy/prophesy” whatsoever, yet people keep wanting their ears tickled by them, instead of the Words of Jesus. It’s part of our sin nature and the human dilemma, and it is WRONG.
This is one of the best channels I discovered in the past years, maybe the best one. The way you are always willing to learn and do your research to truly learn from people is amazing. No biased questions or hate, just the willingness for learning. Keep it up, brother. Love you 🤍

I've visited Utah a few times as a truck driver and I've noticed that too, people are unusually nice.
Yes. They are surface-level friendly and will only see you as a project to be converted if you get closer to them and some will cut off contact with their own kids if they leave the church or turn out to be gay. Most of them are nice, but not kind.
I’ve lived here for 10 years. No they are not. Antisocial and drive like a bat out of hell. I almost get into wrecks every time I drive after 3pm. It’s nonviolent, true. But back stabbing, feeling alone, is a major issue.
Also, their missionaries call themselves Christians. That’s a lie.

I was raised Catholic and now am a Christian in a non-denominational church and love these videos to learn about other cultures.
How awesome! @realbiblebelievers has awesome content. I started out non Denominational, then converted to Mormon by missionaries and after a few years found truth at the real bible believers channel. His content covers anything you could think of all using scripture.
I pray you find your way back to the one, holy, Catholic and Apostolic church.

@snowdroog1 Our current president was a world-renowned heart surgeon. Absolute top of his field. His counselor was a Utah Supreme Court Judge and extremely successful in his career. Others have been president s of universities and other stellar careers. They made good money in their careers and have nice things as a result of hard work. Their work as apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ requires them to travel all over the world preaching the gospel. They get a small stipend for this. It does not come from tithing. They literally work until the grave claims them in the cause of Christ! The president is in his 100th year of life and still serving. To try to muddy their contributions to the world, the church, and the work of Jesus Christ is reprehensible!
What a great group of families. Thanks for loving people and having open discussions with people. God wishes us to share with one another without fear. Whether we're Prostestant, Catholic or Mormon i think we can all agree on that.
Life long Utahan. I come from 5 generations of Utah non LDS ancestors. My family has a long history of living with and friendship with LDS people.
I love the LDS people. The vast majority of them are kind, loving, generous humans.

We all make mistakes and we have our own struggles, but being apart of this community has been so freeing and rewarding.
Great Job Peter , my wife’s a lapsed LDS, I’m a catholic. I don’t agree with LDS ideals but I respect their way of living and I do believe lds members are very good people

I work in the LDS community of Moapa Valley Nevada and they are some of the nicest, friendliest people I have come across since growing up in Wisconsin. I have truly enjoyed getting to know everyone in the community. I live in Las Vegas and was looking to work in a smaller more tight knit community as a nurse. My daughter recently moved to St George Utah to go to the University and lives in a “ Mormon standards” apartment shared with all LDS girls. We are not LDS but have thoroughly enjoyed the kindness and openness that the LDS community has given us.
I will also tell you that I was a bit surprised by this at first.I had a cousin who married into the LDS community years ago and he stopped communicating with us because we were not Mormon. I haven’t spoken to him in almost 20 plus years and even tried reaching out. Im not sure if there is an old version and a new version LDS way. I also have an old high school friend who is now gay and has lost all contact with his family due to his new lifestyle. He is no longer LDS. So, I have seen both sides. I know LDS people that I work with Family is everything. I believe many people today are missing that family structure. I still take away a positive view from the LDS people that I have come across and enjoyed this video.
There are some people in the church who are a bit more reserved but it can be like that in every church from my experience.
Sadly there are some people in the LDS faith who do not know how to maintain relationships with those that have left or strayed. But it is 1000% not our belief to shun. We believe in following Christ's example - and he ate and hung around everybody. However sometimes we will be selective about who we date and have close friendships with because we want good influences in our day to day lives and less temptation. Overall though, shunning is not a belief we hold. It's unfortunate when someone chooses that route. It should be the opposite.
There are some good documentaries out there about Mormonism on TH-cam. One is, "Test of a prophet the Bible vs. Joseph Smith", "The Lost Book of Abraham", and the last is "DNA vs. Book of Mormon".
I've had difficult experiences with some members of the church, but most have been uplifting and hopeful to be around and enjoy. I really do believe most try to follow Christ's example in following his counsel to love our neighbor.
My daughter has made some huge changes in her personal choices and preferences. We have tried to maintain our love for each other even at times when she rejected us and kept us at arms length. Its been very hard to watch her struggle. When she was about 12 she had some acquaintences who told her beause we were LDS that we would shun, hate and probably kick her out of the house. She accepted that as truth. It was a very difficult two years before she understood that our love never changed. There were time we thought we'd lost her. I wish she was doing some thing differently in her life, but that doesn't affect my love for her.
I pray that you will be able to find those bright spots in life and maintain and restore the bonds of love in your family.
It's funny that you hear stories like this and think....who are these people that are shunning others because of their beliefs but apparently they are out there.
As a member of the church the only time I've seen shunning is when members leave the Church and won't associate with their former friends. I've seen that a few times.
When I was younger I would judge other faiths and religion harshly for not changing the world into the view I like, as I grew older I realized that's not how the world works, and that we need a support system to pull us through tough time, I like this video like so many other videos Peter puts out, and always appreciate the level of honesty in those exchanges.
As an atheist I was the same. Had to mature and realize that religion serves as a support system for people and I don’t wanna take that away from them.

I respect LDS members immensely. I’m a Christian and was always told the Church of LDS was a cult and not Christian. In Peter’s two videos,I’ve not seeing that, nor did I see it with the people I personally dealt with. I did business with a member who was a huge help to me. He was so helpful and introduced me to two young gentleman who were missionaries. Kinder, nicer people I’m never met.
Peter has introduced me to wonderful people such as Titus Morris. Peter does a wonderful job and treats each person with great respect and allows them the opportunity to speak without judgement. Thank you Peter.

Ive been doing my family's genealogy for years. When I found my Great x whatever grandmother was Agatha Woolsey's sister, it was like hitting gold. She did not travel from IL with the group or adopt their beliefs, but because of the Mormons my family has information we would never of had. For that alone I am grateful to them.

I love this I've never known that Mormons were like this and that polygamy is not allowed it is a true eye-opener. Also, I normally do not like long-form just talking except very certain podcasts so breezing through 40 minutes of hearing them talk is crazy I feel a trust towards these people.
Polygamy and incest is allowed, it just depends on which sub-cult you are talking with. These stories are online, narrated in detail by those who have bein raised in that environment.
@Gwaycee - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints prohibits polygamy and incest. Other churches that practice or condone this behavior are not same Church. There are no churches named Mormon. Mormonism is a nickname where all groups are bunched together even when they don't believe or allow the same things. That's a reason why using the correct name of a Church is important so to minimize confusion.

The LdS church allows for polygamy today. Their current prophet and his successor are both married/sealed in the temple to multiple women. It can't happen until their current wife dies or they divorce, but they believe they will have those women and more in "heaven".

I was born LDS. I had a falling out with God a long time ago, but as of maybe 6 years ago I rekindled my relationship with God and it's now stronger than ever.

As a born Muslim person I enjoy so much about learning about other people’s believes and religions. I lived most of my life in Australia and made friends with people of different backgrounds and beliefs. I am both proud and happy to have best friends who are devoted to Christians . I think the thing I have learned the most from watching your videos from Utah, Arizona, Appalachia, the Bayou, the Native American reservations, the inner city and deep south is that we are not as divided as we are led to believe. Mormons probably do friendlness and hospitality better then many christians. I'm a Christian, but living in a place like Utah seems pretty refreshing compared to many other places these days.
