i am so sad and angered by the youtube algorithm and it is truly the enemy for good , original and entertaining content. i’m sorry it is this way but wish you the best!! it was a fabulous video and i’m stoked for this one! 🎉
It's certainly a tad disheartening. In the good ole days, high quality content usually won the day. Now clickthrough rates are the main thing! Still, I'm grateful to our core viewership who come back no matter the weather!
A real shame TH-cam didn't seem to be able to determine that the intro was a great piece of comedy in the context of the Abroad in Japan universe and that the rest of the video was perfectly fine to promote...
I would be laughing too! I'm Canadian and went down much larger hills than that. I was one of the lucky kids that had the kind of sleds that they have and one of those sleds with steering and skis on them. Natsuki and Joey had a very soft landing there lol
Yeah when he first started showing up in some of like Connors vods I went hunting for content but man there was almost nothing Pete related on YT 😢. He's really an interesting dude.

This series is one of the reasons I can’t watch TV programs anymore. The editing, cinematography and script is all top quality. It is entertaining and very much informative for someone with aspirations to travel to Japan. I wish only the best for all the people involved in making this series a reality, they really deserve the recognition for creating these videos.
I really hope Chris sees the amazing value in this series. He can easily turn this into a “Journey Across Europe” Chris and his crew could totally make this happen.
Natsuki is infinitely entertaining, like a puppy. You found a gem when you made friends with him, Chris. Great series! Looking forward to the next one.
I don't know why but hearing Natsuki so clearly and so sweetly ask "Do you want a beer? I want a beer," just tickled me. Looks like y'all had such a great time!
Chris whoever is your graphic designer, they are amazing! Love the opening title! I died laughing watching Joey cry as the train drove by 😂! TH-cam, you need to get this series in the algorithm. This is pure platinum content!
While everyone comments on your Cinematography and banter. I actually really like this video, because your covering another part of Hokkaido. I actually paused your video to check out the surrounding islands and areas of where you guys were and ADDED a 'want to go' marker on them. Also added the sushi restaurant xD. Looking forward to the next episode. Those disputed islands between Japan and Russia are pretty epic, from google maps/images. SOOOOO many volcanos.
It's awesome that you guys are promoting such underrated areas of Japan, thanks for making these series Chris! and Kudos to everyone who worked behind the scenes!
Underrated? Hokkaido hast the best and freshest food the most space for any activity and farming. You can ask any Japanese. Ofc run off the mill people only know Tokyo and hardly Kyoto…

You'll have to tell Natsuki-san for me that his English is getting so impressive! And amazing work is always Chris. Thanks for all of that you've done.. I'm going to be moving to Japan here in about a year. It's really been inspiring getting to watch your videos.. it's really helped keep me motivated to learn the language!

Definitely my favorite channel on TH-cam, every video feels like an episode of a TV show/ documentary. I've been watching your channel for a few years and have loved every second of it.
Pete is such a ball of sunshine. Amazing, makes me smile everytime he pitches an idea with the energy of a kid on suger-high. Especially love that Mario vs. Yoshi sled race. Pure gold.
Seriously Chris you keep outdoing yourself! The quailty of the shots in this video are absolutely sublime! It's honestly crazy to know that TH-cam's algorithm isn't plugging this amazing series 😟. Love having Natsuki, Joey and Pete along with you. Looking forward to the rest of the series 😍
I'm bingewatching Abroad in Japan again after a long rest from binging youtube, and I've noticed in this episode, Natsuki is very talkative, in english too! very suprising and I honestly love it.
Cinematography looked excellent! I'm an aspiring cinematographer myself, and seeing such beautiful shots like this work so well for the video gives me more inspiration! Keep it up chris
Chris, if you see this i wanna tell you your content makes my day so much better when im feeling down i always get happy from your videos!! Chris, I’ve been watching for a few months, and have quickly caught up on everything Abroad in Japan, and JAJapan. I love and appreciate your work, and hope it continues for a long time to come. Hello from the UK.
It keeps blowing my mind what the size of Russia is, as and European I live close to it and you guys in Japan, other side of the globe can actually see Russia from there it's insane. The sushi looked extremely delicious and large indeed. This series will never fail to come up with something new and interesting.
The terror and excitement of being seated with Natsuki on that train. I loved this series, sounds like you need to find those fabled onsen after this one.
Easily one of my favourite channels and makes so get my act together to visit more of Asia and especially Japan! Gotta love Natsuki and the rest of the boys for enteraining us back outside of Japan! Loving the new journey across Japan chris! Gotta say, I love the dynamic between you and Natsuki and appreciate the amount of effort you must put into finding these amazing places!

Once again, a great quality episode and very funny too! I can’t imagine wearing a costume in -16 degrees, that would be way too cold for me. I’m impressed by Natsuki‘s and Joey‘s determination!

Bunch of babies, rolling around in the snow! haha
What are they laying down?
@@englishatheart The best part is Pete just breaking his lower/mid section with "CINEMA ANGLE" as Natsuki would say 6:28

I like to think Natsuki barely knows what's going on but always says yes to Chris's crazy ideas.
Well, this time it paid off 😂
I’m a simple man… I see Abroad in Japan, I click… I see Natsuki… I SMILE!❤😂
The only person in the world who tells every person he meets to go fuck themselves, yet has not a single enemy. Other than Ryotaro of course
My man is that simple that he use some old stock photos from windows 7/vista (if I don’t remember incorrectly)
He's a great lad
Natsuki always be making me smile I swear😊
Natsuki is THE MAN
I'm really glad to see Pete being a regular guest in the videos. He's such a cheesy but cool guy and he always brings good vibes
Right? He's quickly become one of my favorite recurring lads
He has good energy always.
I love pete funny cheesy guy❤😂
Yeah when he first started showing up in some of like Connors vods I went hunting for content but man there was almost nothing Pete related on YT 😢. He's really an interesting dude.

Perfectly said! This is the best travel/documentary series out there, easily better than anything on TV as well!
Seeing Natsuki happily dancing across the train platform is such a wholesome sight to behold.
