If this helm is equipped on the Merc and the Delirium effect proccs, the game crashes. I learned this the hard way when I was getting slammed to the back of the queue several times.....

i can confirm this, i play on ps5, every time the merc procs delirium the game crashes.. damn waste of runes

Don’t know about D2R but it doesn’t crash the game on D2 LOD/ Pluggy.
This was my helmet of choice for my enchant sorceress. She swapped between bow, sword, and spells, but when "rage mode" kicked in, that was a treat. Y'see, the doll body swings a LOT faster than the sorceress body does. With the IAS I had on to begin with just to make her swing slow as mud with Zeal, that little thing bashed like a Frenzy barb, dishing out tons more damage than usual. It's basically "HULK SMASH!!!" time for a character like that.
I wonder if the D2R ias bug affects the lil guy.
@@matornot Good question. I've got a Delirium on my sorc at this point but she's not really melee fit yet, and it's yet to proc for whatever reason.

I put this on my Bowzon and love it. Spray strafe and all the enemies just run around fighting each other while me my merc and Valk kill everything. I rarely ever die.

I use it on my lvl 90 Nec and my act 2 merc. It works for me. I love the Mind Blast.
These are best made in +skill helms for druids and barbs. Made one in a barb helm that gives +2 iron skin and +1 natural resist. Saved me 2 skill points.
Put this on my act 2 merc thinking it would be great. I was not disappointed. So much easier to handle big groups now.
The procs make this a top tier defensive item. Super underrated
This runewords is so fun to use on Lightning Fury Javazon. Especially if you have piercing attack, or wearing Razortail
since i solo played i managed to get an ist and created this for my necro, so with this plus 2 spirtis and also bone rune word, while these are more budget he ripped through hell...+8 to skills just the main pieces
I put this helmet on my Sin as i was leveling up and man it drove me nuts haha. I didnt know there was a way out of it - that's pretty cool
This helmet helped my zeal pala a whole lot of times. That confusion is extra helpful to avoid getting surrounded and in high enough level killing things while morphed is actually fun.
This seems like a good helm for the Summoner Neco. 60 down time, not like your useless. Meanwhile you got a pretty cool 'tank' for something that could help when you don't want to get hit.
I mean summon necromancers really need plus to skills, and having a +2 helmet is good for them regardless. But the Necro can already cast all of these curses himself.
@@GGMentor Yes, but do people? I'm 'full' managing Amplified Damage and Attract. So to get some free on hit defensive curses I don't need to think much of seems like a benefit. But with that said, I don't have this helm to test it with my play style.

The best base item for delirium or dream (lower str requeriments) its a good Bone Visage
to stop being scared of Stygian Dolls you have to become one

Delirium seems to be Shakos weird ass cousin that you try to avoid when you see them in public
lmao i couldn't find a shako for weeks so I decided to make a delirium instead shit ticked me off because I was a sorc and turned into a bone monster while teleing. They say 1% chance of turning to a thing but it was a lot more times then 1%

Would you recommend this for a fury Druid? I have a earth spirit with three sockets und +3 fury.
On the other hand, I have a Cerebus bite with +4 /+2 (max. possible + skills effects)?
Which one would you prefer?
If you're still interested : No,it's a very bad choice for a fury werewolf. You don't really care about +skills for fury and you want amp-decrip curse(from merc or swap) so all the things delirium procs would be in the way(exept mb). So yeah Cerberus is a better choice and Jalal's mane is the best in slot (other top helms would be CoA,Cerberus,some Godly rare circlet,G Face,Ravenlore if you want wolf-elemental hybrid)

@@ihatemary370 Shako is meh for druid because you're giving up potentially +3 skills points to your main skill. Hell I'd use a 3os +3 Tornado with 3 ptopaz over a Shako.
For windy druid your ideal helm is magic or rare with +2 Druid skills and +3 Tornado, or a 2os +3 Tornado for Lore is a good budget option. For fire druid you pretty much need Ravenlore for the -% Enemy Fire Resist.

Additionally, if you go through a waypoint to another act and back the effect is gone.
Using an Ebotd CB on a barb with this makes the basic attack from the doll do enough dmg and enough attack speed to make this a viable build. When it goes off i can still melee down hell trav.

Attract is a nice curse I have to agree. Plus it doesn't get overwritten by other curses so you can also use Amplify damage with it =)
@@GGMentor confuse has a bigger radius and attracts monsters aswell, is what i forgot to say xd and procs more often
Cows in the vincinity attack the confused cows and then its a domino effect

I noticed and I was trying to keep it properly centered I guess I messed up. Thanks though I will be more diligent in the future. It's just issues with mismatch resolutions and OBS being stupid. I will get it sorted eventually.

LoL as a kid i actually thought this helm was better then Dream. despite the fact that its not its still a very fun one to play with. If you can spare the runes for it i suggest giving it a try.
I was considering putting this together when I landed an Ist, but while my main is a shapeshifting Druid, I find myself continually hesitating on it. The pelt I was going to use is... okay, but not great, and I'm not wholly convinced I wouldn't be better served holding onto said rune.
Yeah, if that is your first Ist rune there are probably bigger things to use it on, even as a druid. CtA comes to mind (if you hit an Ohm or HR) but u could of coarse also use it as currency to get a Arach or w/e
Yeah, I have an IST sitting around, but as I'm starting out fresh, it's hard to decide what to do with it.
I DO want a Delirium... And I want to put it in a diadem for my melee sorc (doll's attack speed is way faster than hers). I finally managed to find one but it was Superior... Something I've always avoided due to the stupid repair penalties. Which people invariably shout "duh use a Ral rune" and I go, NO, why would I waste a Ral Rune every half hour or 2 million gold when for 10 defense less I could pay 200 gold and be done with it? lol
Anyway, not at that stage of the game where I can carelessly throw runes around yet, so I wait... :/

HA! I think I just inherited my dad's deliberate mispronunciations. He loves to pronounce things wrong on purpose and I seem to do it as well.
the problem i got with delirium is that it slows you down, has no life leech and render a merc useless for a small time. So it's not a good cc helm for mercs imo.
The only reason i see to use it is to gain 2+ all skill in a helm. Witch can make 5 to tornado helms.
But a windy doesn't really want to have to spend a point in shapeshifting tree just to break morph. You can find a blue or yellow 5nado for a low-mid rune, so wasting a Lem/Ist on this isn't the best play.
I just made it in a high def eth bone visage and it sucks. Merc survivability is lower than with a crown of thorns.
Delirium on act 1 merc is bis imo. They still shoot arrows under the delirium effect and cast confuse from afar.
Lol, this runeword is OP'af! 😆 - The trap is the lvl50~ish entry req; where most players following builds, just won't have the requisite Dex / AR to take advantage of the Delirium effect. - Its not made for levelling. Its for the endgame, categorically. - I dunno what drugs the wiki editor was smoking, but clearly has never used, or understood it.
I have this in a tiara, on a trap Assasin (Neema) wearing a Bramble wyrmhide I was lucky enough to roll lvl21 Thorns. The always on CC's - Attract, to break immunes - Barbs spirit, to bolster Thorns ~ Whats not to like? With just 20% crit chance via claw mastery (10 hard pts), and high IAS on, a Dex based assassin; you are critting so fast as the Stygian doll, its absurd. - Nothing is immune to it. Just like those little bastards you encounter in the Durance / Hell that one-shot anything. 😅
Again, this is a runeword you target in your build for the endgame. - Conceptually akin to your "Godzealers" Principle + LoH core? Like that. 😉
Originally, I designed Neema to use throwing daggers; because her attack are with Sentinel & Blade Fury. In the end, I put a Diamond "Mist" on her, which when envenomed (a mere 5pts) brings the 3 pcs together in a speccy way! Which you want the Diamond bow for, because you don't want the dmg range behind fury to be too wide apart. Before thorns & the spirit, her base dmg is 163 returned phys / lightning. Ama me if ya wanna try it. I think ypu'd really like it. - but yeah, its all because of Delirium. 👍
You can get rid of delirium efect by traveling to another act.

That makes a whole lot of sense considering how bad poison dagger is. That'd be a pretty interesting build. Imagine the doll giving you - enemy psn res. It'd still be melee but along with nova/ce maybe bone armor. Also you could use Homonculous for max block on necros I think 🤔 or maybe It was meant as a summon.
@@your_eulogy2688 I’m just an IST rune away from making myself a Delirium. Question Number One am I untouchable as the bone thingy? If that’s the case it was probably a safe way from point A to B.
So many things add poison damage so yeah you’re so right about poison dagger (worse than the assassin’s venom!)

I have a Grand Crown with 100 def waiting for Delirium runes. Corona has too much str required for just 70 more def. 👑
Strength Requirement is a big consideration when choosing bases. But So is Style points haha
If you make Delirium in anything other than a demonhead or bone visage, you're doing it wrong.

I've only seen two Ist runes in D2 from about 200 hours of play. I would say that is expensive. I don't trade trade or play multiplayer.
In Single player you could farm hell, hellforges with new players =p You have a 1 in 11 chance to get an ist rune from that quest in hell. Which isn't awful and you could run it a couple times on different characters for more chances.
Youd have to do a decent amount of runs. But countess drops them as well. I've gotten two off her in the past few weeks.

I just got back into d2, i need to get a enigma. been trying to farm one in cows NM. Since icant do much in HELL. I am on a necro, thats my only toon. Unless someone out there could help?
I don't think you can get the runes required for enigma in nightmare cows. You should focus on getting your character stronger so you can farm hell cows. You are more then welcome to come on during my live streams and make friends.
Been farming hell countess for 3 days. Everyone says shes drops lem like candy but iv yet to get even 1. I keep getting tir tal sol etc. 3 days and every rune iv got i can just get from nm countess

Changing acts, or shapeshifting will clear the effect

they're undead soul killers, not stygian dolls.
They have many names, as they are a Class of monster not a specific monster. The Specific Class they are known as is Officially called "Bone Fetish" and both Stygian Doll, Soul Killer, and Flayer are correct terms.
If you wanted to be 100% technically Correct Delirium turns you into a "Bone Fetish"
"Delirium grants a proc that, when activated, transforms the caster into a level 50 Bone Fetish for roughly 60 seconds. The newly transformed Fetish's normal attack is a headbutt."

It was amazing on my melee sorceress. Doll doesn't have class melee speed penalties, so it made her immensely FAST in combat. Also all the crowd control was hilarious.
