Thank you for being so thorough with setting up your budget planner! I looked in to the EC planners after you mentioned them in your last video and was wondering how you were going to make them work! Now I get it! I'm trying to decide which planner to use since this will be my first year starting this type of thing. If I go with the EC I will definitely be using your AL. #3!

Have you ever considered starting an emergency fund specifically for Mork? I have seen a couple of other cash stuffers that have a pet sinking fund for shots, regular vet visits and then also have a sinking fund for pet emergencies. I pick number 2 for next week 😊

Love the new setup! You could always use you Christmas SF money for next year for stocking stuffers, one week won't be too missed since you'll have such a healthy budget! And yay! Congrats on your raise!!!

Hi Jennifer, a couple things I noticed was your vacation fund. You actually only have 6 months to save the 2400. So you will need to put more in your envelope. Also, you didn't list Amazon prime in your monthly pages.

Hi Amy! Amazon Prime is the first sinking fund listed in our weekly budget sinking fund section. The vacation amount is a more complex explanation, I will go into more detail about that in another video. 😊

Not sure I am understanding your sinking funds. Your Amazon is due in Feb so if you are saving in Feb and you are staring in Dec with $12 a month, you won’t have enough to pay it. Same with Sam’s club.
That's true, Jennifer. I explain this more in the Sinking Fund video I referred to (Simple vs. Complex). I didn't want to spend too much time on it in this video, since this video is already very long. That is why I brought up the other video. I'm hoping that people who need more help getting started or more help setting up their own sinking funds will refer to that video. I decided to use the simple strategy this year. With a simple strategy you are not going to end up with the exact amount of money that you need for each category, but you will have some money saved for each category which in my opinion is better than nothing. I've done sinking funds a number of ways over the years. I've used a simple simple strategy and the complex strategy and what I'm really doing now I would call a flexible strategy. I'm hoping to make another video soon explaining this new strategy theory.

Can you please give us the link to the actual planner that you’re showing there that way when we click on it it will take us to that planner and have your affiliate link to that as well? I absolutely love the set up and I love the way that this planner works and it’s flexible! Is it on a disk bound system or is it a spiral notebook? The reason I ask this is because I am left-handed. 13:08

It's the same here. We have the plus membership which is $110, which calculates to $2.30 per week. I don't want to have to deal with the change every week, so I've rounded up to $3.00.

No 2. Thank you for sharing. Question- you have a yearly goal for vacation and showed the 12 month breakdown, but vacation is in July. Wouldn’t you be short? I am getting ready to start envelopes.
Yes, that is correct. I will not have enough saved for vacation with this current plan. I'm in a situation where I would not be able to save enough month to month to meet my vacation goal, therefore I save as much as I can versus saving the total amount that I will need. I would recommend checking out the sinking fund video linked in the description box below. In that video I explain two different ways to start sinking funds. The strategy I'm using is the simple strategy. Since I can't actually afford to save everything I will need for vacation, I'm saving what I can. I'll then have to make up the difference in other ways such as savings challenges, unexpected income, etc.. My theory, is even though I can't save all of it, saving some of it will help me in the long run.
