Kabul Afghanistan, Back to a Kabul Vlog! I has seen this building a couple of times and was curious what it was from then.I found out its an old Soviet era Grainary /Bakery. i googled a few articles on it and then really wanted to have a look around, it was built in 1956, The huge property spans about 70 thousand Sq Meters...Theres a few of these in various parts of the country. This Silo hasnt been operational for 29 years, although they recently opened a very small part of it to make bread. Its a government owned building and i believe it always has been. It was a bit eerie to walk rond such a huge empty building, that at one point was a buzz of activity. theres some articles online about it i found.. i still have any other vlogs still from Nuristan and Panjshir so far, and still a lot of Kabul! thanks for watching as always!

Thank you Emma for what you show to the world, thanks again for your kindness toward our country and way of living ❤❤❤❤❤❤ God bless
What’s wrong with afghans I still do not understand, these are spies and fools you again and again and again and you thank them for fooling you again.
Thank you so much Emma for keeping us updated with your videos from Afghanistan. I miss my beautiful country. I left in 1986 and been here in US for over 37 years. I plan to visit my homeland soon, iA
Emma, thank you SO much for your content! I’ve been trying to reach you in the gram! I grew up in Afghanistan and I’ve been loving your content. Been sending it to my family and friends! I used to drive by this silo factory every time I went to school so thanks for sharing, it’s awesome to see it! Also, you recently went to a hydrolite site (small river made to make electricity) and I showed it to my dad, he built these all over the country ! He wasn’t sure if his business made it, but he loved seeing the videos! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!! I haven’t been back there in 11 years it’s awesome to see!
Awww thank you so much for your kind words, yes this silo fascinated me from when I first drove past it … ahhhh tell your dad I saw plenty of these little Rivers in many places 😊 will look for your insta, it’s probably lost in there lol .. thank you 🥰
Thanks for this Vlog Emma! 🍞🍞🍞I had recently wondered about *SILO* as we used to drive by it all the time in the 80's. Another place you may like to Vlog is the *French Built School* we used to attend, . . . it is called *Lycee Esteqlal* it was a very Modern School, even more modern than most Schools in US back in the 80's. Please see if you can go in there and do some Vlogging, you'll find it fun / interesting and so will your viewers! 🎓✏🖋📝
I HAVE SEEN MANY REPORTS
But none of them were this complete and detailed , thank you
Emma, what an experience you gave us through this upload 👏🏻 😊 I'm surprised they didn'tt give you some bread to try or whatever they were baking. I think the most serious problem to this silo is its coal ovens. Definately can use an update so it can be efficient and not add to the aleeady existing air pollution.
I used to visit inside Silo with my dad maybe in 1976 my dad knew the big boss of silo, it was so clean the workers had to take a shower and put especial uniform before starting there job the breads and salty cookies was the best thanks for sharing❤
Beautiful scarf
Hi Emma this was an extraordinary experience, really the factory is a giant with all never ending rooms and with quite impressive old machines. Climbing 17 floors was definitely very challenging but you did it very beautifully and yes it was worth exploring and you gave us a unique story of their commitment. Thank you sister for sharing a very daring video and I enjoyed watching.🙏🙏🙏🙏💓💓💓💓
من رفتم را بلد بود نه تونستم بروم اوبر زمان رد شد را میکم الا ان که دیدم خلی کته کته است 🙄
Thank you Emma, you show the world how it was before. From Malaysia.
I am from Russia and I proud of soviet specialists who could make such enormous factory. It made my anccestors.
Are you also proud of the enormous destruction and killings of thousands of civilians your ancestors caused in Afghanistan, on the side of these factors of theirs? The half a million land mines your ancestors left behind are killing thousands of people yearly to this day in Afghanistan. Do a favor for yourself and stop obsessing over your ancestors who were nothing but terrorists part of a terrorist regime.
@@BigBoss1R Of course I am not! I don't support this war!
@@павелфедоров-ж9г one famous district in Kabul by the name Macroyan is also build with the help of Russian‘s.
@@BigBoss1R There is a good question. For my opinion both of these war didn't had good results for my country. The reason of the war in Afghanistan was the striving to establish in this country socialism and make it an ally of the USSR. The war in Ukraine is Putin's project that allows him to keep the power. I think so.
@BigBoss1R are you also proud of what USA did in Afghanistan and Iraq USA didn't drop red flowers on afghans they booms our houses killed innocent afghans.
You are showing the whole world
Real face of Afghanistan 🇦🇫 👍💯❤️
The Soviet Union constructed multiple silos throughout the country, while NATO and its allies carried out extensive bombing campaigns, which had devastating consequences for the nation. Additionally, they provided support to various factions, including drug lords, further exacerbating the suffering of the Afghan population.
Salam from UK 🇬🇧 England ❤
Not only silos. Hospitals , power plants , roads and Salang Tunnel. Students from Afganistan were getting free aducation in Soviet Union becaming doctors and engineers . Today, the most visible remnants of the Soviet era in Kabul are the prefabricated concrete residential complexes known as mikrorayon.
Why did the Afghanis chase them out if they were so great? Perhaps you would like the Russians to come back and rule your country? NATO countries helped build roads and created better access to clean drinking water. They also helped build hospitals, clinics, and schools. The Soviet Union and Russia have killed more Muslims than any non-Muslim nation has. Had the Soviets not been defeated in 1989 by the Afghanis and pushed out, Afghanis would be speaking Russian now and would be praying to a Russian Orthodox religion.
@@CG68810these people are losers with loser mindset. They’re obedient little slaves of anyone that comes to take their country by force. Thank God that the majority of Afghans don’t think or act like them or we’d not be Afghans today. To them, as long as they have food to eat, they’re happy, no matter what anyone does to their country, their freedom, way of life, religion, identity, language, etc. That is the plain and simple text book definition of cowards. Soviets left 1.5m Afghans dead, 2m with missing arms and legs, 5m refugees, and millions of land mines that explode to this day. None of that matters to these people as long as they build a couple of bakeries to make some bread and their life is grand. Cowards, plain and simple. Same goes for the leash dogs of the West
@@CG68810 they were wanted to make Afghan people communist
Wow! What a detailed insight you gave into the working of all the machineries at the old factory. The whole process from the beginning till the end was quite interesting. Thank you for giving a tour of this factory in Kabul, Afghanistan!

Emma Thank you ❤ für your work in Afghanistan. Sister Shamsa afghan Form Germany💐
Interesting information.
Tnxs ema show the old gold
At least we can still see many Soviet -built installations, silos, apartment buildings, and may have been destroyed or stolen by Mojahideen . Unfortunately, the US and their allies haven't built anything but destruction.
This Silo was built before the Soviet occupation as part of a afghan soviet cooperation agreement where both countries benefitted … it’s not a soviet Silo… it’s an Afghan Silo. Unlike the west, the soviet constructions were built strong and made to last
Very very god Emma ❤️🥰🙏🏾
Enjoy ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful velog
Nice
👍
that's crazy when I was little, my mom used to pass by there every day after work, and I always wondered what these big yellow and white buildings were for before it was abandoned. but now I know.

Your colourful hijab looks really good on you, definitely the best one you have worn
Taliban authorities have renovated almost all of these Siloc across Afghanistan
They are located in Kabul, Kandahar, Herat, Balkh and...
Emma, did they explain why this factory was not being used the last 20 or 30 years but now was put back into production? I'm interesting to know why didn't use it all this time when they had it, and what changed to make them want to take advantage of it now.
Soviet industrial technics. It'll outlive any Mercedes-Benz. Made for the ages
👍👍👍💚
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very interesting. It would be nice if they could open completely to give Afghanis jobs.
You have to be affiliated with the Taliban, to get a job in Afghanistan today. I doubt if Emma is aware of this fact or if she is it would be unwise for her to mention this fact.
There is one silo like this in mazar_e sharif as well
Make sure to make a video of English past 1839 .
Dear Emma this factory was built by the USR Rasi almost 80 years ago

When *Russia and Afghanistan* are mentioned.. i Always think of the great documentary *RAMBO III* :)
Many Taliban I see on Television or TH-cam have green eyes / blue eyes / honey brown eyes 🤔🤔 like the one man with the American weapon .
I really can't believe that you are so interested in Afanistan. It is really dangerous.
If you have case so Afghans are very dangerous if you don't have a case, come and walk on our shoulders, no one to tell why
It's not like you think, Afghanistan more save than before, you can go wherever you want in Afghanistan safely...
The silo in Kabul built 60 years ago. Before soviets come to Afghanistan it was already built.
Go to Ghazni province 👍
You just focus your camera to to talib person
