Today I restored a QL-7, this afternoon / evening. Hardest issue to resolve was the counterweight droop. This plauges the JVC and Akai models as well as others. Q is a nice unit, but not really my style.
i have a problem with my L-A120. when i but the belt on the spindle and start the turntable, the belt gets pushed up above the little spindle cap. weve tried servicing the spinner in the middle as well as cleaning and lubricating everything. Any fixes?
I was given one of these and I am attempting to clean it up and restore it. What do you recommend as a replacement Stylus? The one that is on it currently has no markings and is damaged.

@@TurntableGuy Thanks! What phone app do you use? I was able to use your video to free up a completely seized spindle. My only mess up was after I reassembled it, the tone arm control isnt working. So I've got to go back in. But I also wanted to see if I can dial in the correct speed. Again, THANKS!
If your tonearm is acting weird you need to clean the black goo from the foam block and remove and replace the foam block. It's about 1.5cm x 2 cm × 1 cm thick. 🤙
@@Poppinwheeeeellllllieeeeez the thing is I had a Jvc la110 that I had lubricated but after I had reassembled it the stop button wasn’t working so I decided to disassemble the part between the tonearm and bearing but now I can’t reassemble it

Hi, my Victor JL-A15Q runs slowly. It's about 26 for 33 and 36 for 45rpm. I changed a brand new belt, with no success. How do I fix that? Thanks :)
There should be speed adjustment potentiometers on the motor board.

I have the same turntable and its speed is too high (about 82 rpm), I reduce the potentiometer but the difference is only 2 rpm

Hi, I'm trying to ressurect my old l-a120. i have oil for the spindle, but what type of grease did you use on the bottom? Thanks!

Synthetic all purpose
How do you free a completely seized spindle?
Heat
I used a heat gun, I could smell the old lubricant melting away. Worked great.
