I think the biggest board is the Alva Pool King collaboration from a couple of years back. The wheelbase was long. That 13" with a short wheelbase is very different.
IMO The Lonnie Toft 8-wheeler by Sims is/was the widest board ever ! I saw him riding one in Long Beach California in '78 (if I remember correctly) at Shady Acres Skate Park he had carpet on it and rode it kneeling instead of standing
I often wonder how ONE company can corner an entire market? What gimmicks? What fads are they using? And why, as such an outspoken lifestyle and supporters do we allow it?
different designs cool graphics, helps skate shops by being available to them first. make limited drops. Interact with the buyers and supporters all things Heroin Skateboards is doing and no other skate company is.
Would def run a mini egg for sure. IMO those huge boards seem to be just a gag type deck because realistically who’s really skating an 11-13 inch deck and actually shredding it
Check out swampy he does some crazy stuff on huge boards. The kind of skating people are doing on the big boards I find refreshing rather than flip in flip out kinda stuff.
Shredding is in the eye of the beholder. I think skating on a giant board is way gnarlier compared to the cookie cutter 8” popsicles everyone has been riding for the last 25 years. Shits boring, getting a new giant crazy shaped board gets me way more hyped to skate than any 8” pop ever has.
