Thank you for the video, it's very helpful! When I customised my iPad a few weeks ago, the automation worked perfectly but I think it stopped working with the next update to iOS 16.

for automation, you can select multiple apps at once so you don't have to go through the process for every single app :) i tested this on my ipad and it works!

I like some of the transitions, but sometimes they're a bit too much and are seemingly random. Since we use these persistent elements that transition across pages to indicate some kind of relationship between the previous and the next states, some of your transitions confuse me because I can't immediately see what the relationship is.
For example 1:23 of the selectable tiles (which weren't selected) transition into being two switches... does that mean anything? are they related in some way? I see this as random and a bad use of the design language. However, at 3:14 I like the transition from switches to the ticks on a paper, that makes sense to me. Epic presentation tho

I got my iPad two years ago, when I was in fourth grade.
I’ve a,ways been told I was a mature kid, but device maturity only hit this year. My iPad has always look crusty, so I quit complaining and did something about it. It took effort, I must say, but even one year later this tutorial was still fire 🔥. My iPad now feels so much more like me, and it’s so fun to use now! Thank you for this amazing video, and your voice is so soothing and beautiful! Very clear instructions, and as an idiot I’m proud to say I understood every bit. Even tho the automation still appears, I don’t mind. Thank you once again!

IM SO ANNOYED. i spent so much time doing the shortcuts, and now everytime i click on an app it’s Widgetsmith! I tried to click on TH-cam, and it said widget smith. I had to go to app libary to open TH-cam, do you know how to fix it??!

This is rlly helpful, but whenever I go to the plus on my homescreen, I cant find the widgets app, or any additional apps, just the apps that come with the iPad. The only additional apps that u can look for on the plus section are TH-cam, Videostar, and only Pinterest, please help me!

Hi Janice, thanks for the tips! I'm not sure if it's bcuz of the iOS update, but when I follow your Automation guide, it doesn't show the Ask Before Running option so I'm unable to deselect that.
What I have is
Automation: Run Immediately/ Run After Confirmation/ Don't Run, which I selected Run Immediately.
And I've deselected Notify When Run
but the notification still pops up when I open the app. I would appreciate your help if you see this, thank you!

for the mid clock widget what you can do instead of paying is you can screenshot the character you want and turn it into a widget using widgetsmith but it wont make the animation, it’ll still look kinda cute though…

Its an amazing tutorial, it helped me alot, Yet the thing with shortcuts is that whenever you add a shortcut, the apps still there, i ended up having to move the normal icons to all one section, which was a pain.
I've been obsessed with this!! I'm gonna save it because next year I'm getting an ipad 10, ( ive been a samsung girly all my life ) but my whole family has apple so I know how it works'n stuff !!
