- In this video, were going over the history and story behind a 106 year old tractor, from 1918! These tractors were 13ft x 6ft x 8ft (L x W x H), manufactured specifically for WWI, and were primarily used to move heavy machine artillery. Weighing 12,600lbs fully armored, they were able to pull over 8,000lbs of equipment. There were around 6,000 ordered by the US Military, and the one you see in the video above was the 1,843rd made. Hope you enjoy!

Great effort, guys! It fought you every step of the way but it was good seeing it roll out into the light of day after resting in that shed for so long. The editing here was on point as well 👍
awesome old tractor
My grandfather drove one of those in France during the Great War. Pulled cannons to the front lines. One day the Germans were shooting back. He delivered the gun, bypassed the engine governor and hightailed it out of there. Ran full throttle until the engine blew up and started walking. War ended before he was assigned to another tractor.
Wow! Such an amazing story! Thank you for his service.
I like the enthusiasm in your filming
Glad ya'll are saving it old school iron and history
What a great piece of history. Can’t wait to see more videos on it. Be nice to see that okd iron running again.
Let’s see a follow up video on getting it running!!!
Hope it stays original as much as possible
We plan to keep as much of the 'patina' as possible! Our plans with it as of right now is to just get everything into working order. Expect a video about that coming soon!!
Well done, gentlemen.
And, thank you for saving the old girl. She desreves to run again. Thats American history, right there.
BTW, it's "ORDNANCE DEPARTMENT," not "Order Department."
We're going to try our best! Thanks for pointing out the spelling error!
WOW!!!! TREASURE
Cool piece of history
I think you're all lucky that man remembered he had left it in reverse after backing it in so many years ago! That flywheel turning so easily is a good sign.
Love when the old codger said : "It's got a road gear! Get in that it just 'flies' up the road!" Haha!
@@beebsarelli When he says the farmer ran over someone's new ford with it 😆 I almost fell off my chair.
I really like to content!
Cat Skinner's Unite...💪🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
The problem with the rigging is that the end of the cable needs to terminate on what you're pulling. Otherwise it's a fancy looking two-to-one, not a three-to-one.
Recovery school taught me a thing or two.
That guy's accent was sure strong.
Are you going to restore this tractor? That would be cool! But I guess you would have to fabricate any replacement part or have someone else do it, as I would guess no one would have parts for a 100 year old tractor that sounds like it was rare when it was new. Will look forward to seeing any updates on it.
As I'm sure you know, plans could change, but as of right now, we're going to try and keep the patina of the tractor since it took 100 years to look the way it does now, and just get everything on it in a good working order. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
cant wait great content@@se-films
There’s a reason people don’t film next to loaded winch lines. Stay safe.
Keep videos on refurbishing tractor please ty
It didn't really help when you had the "3part line" that you tried to shorten the trailer with 10k pound winch pull instead of Hocking the 3. Part to the tracktor and actually having 30k pound pulling the tracktor
The Two Piece Track Roller Frame design is not dissimilar to the Rocking Bottom Roller Bogies of todays CAT Dozers with the same Goal in mind to get more Track on the ground.
bit of overkill the size of the trailer to the size of the old tractor.......
kind of crazy how its a 26 minute video of loading it on a trailer... lol
are you going to show recommission
We certainly plan to! Although when and where that takes place remains to be seen... hopefully sooner rather than later!
Some low Boy Trailer
I bet there was a lot of torch broke out to rebuild that
Did you buy that off ebay
No, we were just recovering it.
Someone make a comment about the dangers of the wench line breaking and flying cunting some one in more than 2 pieces taking their legs off or slicing the neck off ??? Grandpa was very good to Grandma they home stead on Steele Creek in the big hole valley Montana 3 strong son's 2 of my uncles and my dad raised beef cattle cut and sold lumber to build the town of wisdom grandpa and grandma were only home stead with electric that big holt stationary motor turning the generator
Yea, winches can be dangerous if not used correctly. That's so cool! I always love the old stories that go along with tractors like these!
You might want to some safety lessons on winching before you film the next recovery. 😉😂
