I really want to get the Salient Arms CAM870 and put a 14 inch barrel and matching length mag tube on it, I love the magpul furniture and with a 14 inch barrel it would be extremely short and absolutely beautiful
absolutely gorgeous this shotgun. I got one a day ago, there were only 3 left. I love salient arms and their style, so I had to get this model. Unfortunately, I noticed something ugly when I took the shotgun apart. The safety lever inside, which is responsible for not being able to load a second shell once you've loaded it. This lever inside broke off a bit, that's how the gun came to me. The function is not affected, but the fore-end now wobbles 2 centimeters back and forth. For the money that's a bit of a shame, especially if you're a collector and very picky about the guns. Another problem is that the shells often jam when I try to load them into the tube, sometimes I only get 2 shells loaded and not more. The gun sometimes jams a bit when I want to load the forder stock, but then sometimes it runs buttery smooth. otherwise the weapon is really great and beautiful. Has anyone else actually had this experience?
You can order a lot of OEM spare parts directly from APS airsoft (www.aps-concept.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=25_115&limit=100). Jamming of shells happen when your magazine tube hole in the receiver that takes the shells is out of alignment or has dents in the edges. Review it. On mine I chamfer out the end in the receiver to widen it up and create a smooth feeding hole for the shells. Also, your shell latch arms might be bent out of shape and interfering with the loading of shells. Jamming of the for end when wanting to rack it happens when your trigger pull has not entirely disengaged the for end carrier arms lock. Use a little more force when racking the shotgun, make sure to pull the trigger firmly, and don't put passive/resting rearward force on the for end grip when pulling the trigger as it jams up the locking lever and prevents it from disengaging.
If you stand it up barrel facing the sky pump all the way up there’s 4 tiny screws at the base of the mag tube get a small allen key and tighten them down and it’ll take away the barrel wobble
The APS CAM870 system is a lot of fun for CQB but also very "advanced" and "difficult" to work with and use. An M4 would probably be "better" but in terms of fun the APS CAM870 cannot be beat :D

just picked this up and my loading like ramp or lifter not sure what it's called (meta ramp that loads the next shell) is slightly tilted not sure if that's how it's supposed to be. is yours like that?

Moving gas container from shell to bolt means that it is more difficult to maintain and repair if the bolt breaks or leaks vs. just a single shell. Not as ralistic as original system. etc...
Yeah. Good question. I am sold on the APS platform obviously but the Dominator has more solid build quality in some repsects around the barrel and magazine tube and some more after market options so it's worth thinking about for sure.

It's an airsoft gun. Shoots 6mm BBs only and CO2 powered. But it is pretty much 1:1 to real thing in terms of operations so it would be a good training gun.
Yeah I was looking into that one as well. Seems like a lot of fun. But I would guess it is more suitable for backyard plinking than anything else. It looks really cool though :D . Shell ejection is awesome, as long as you don't try to use it in airsoft games, hehe.

Are you saying that some people managed to put gunpowder in a Cam 870 shell and lived to tell the tale!?? Where's the point with these people - buy a Cam 870 for sure, but also buy a Mossberg 500 on a ticket if you want Realism. Real guns are usually cheaper...
That is supposedly what happened. But in Taiwan/Hong Kong you can't exactly get a hold of real shotguns so I guess that is why they resorted to using the APS CAM platform.
No. Airsoft guns are not powerful enough for small game hunting such as birds. You should look at 4.5mm CO2 air guns instead if you need to kill birds (not for fun, but if it is necessary for pest control).

I might just buy the model then get those magpul parts for it but I am tempting to buy it in stock.
I’m thinking about buying a CQB gun for around $500 and I’ve got no idea if I should get this or an upgraded M4 CQB gun

It is designed to fire 12x65mm airsoft BBs from each shell. .68" paintballs do fit in the shells though but not recommended to fire them.
