The combination of Jez’s complete nonchalance as he waterboards Jerry, Jerry’s spluttering and Hans’s appalled reaction cracks me up every time I watch it.

I don't remember any other instance when Mark, Hans and Jeremy agreed on something as much as with this plan. Just look at the face of Super Hans (at 2:11)!

I don't get it
Croydon is a provincial town in north Surrey/ south London. The Bullingdon Club is an elite drinking society for sons of the landed gentry at the University of Oxford, members exclusively attended Eton College, one of the oldest and most expensive schools in Britain. The Bullingdon is famous for completely trashing any venues where they host dinners (mainly countryside pubs, the modus operandi is apparently to lie about who they are to be able to hire a place before smashing everything up after dinner). So the joke is Mark is comparing them, boring suburbanites, to extremely wealthy young men who destroy things for fun at Oxford.

Good spot - if you pause it it's obvious, Matt looks at Rob and he's already barely holding back the giggles and that sets him off too. A very quick director's cut just about saves the day

Lmao this sounds like a line straight out of peep show. Either from mark or super hans.
I always used to laugh when someone in a Shakespeare play had a really impractical and violent plan for something, like Hamlet planning to kill Claudius by stabbing him in the eye through a tiny hole in the confession booth, or, I don’t know, Macbeth assassinating the king when there are still like two people in succession before him who conveniently flee the next day.

I miss this show. Who knows, maybe they might make another series, never say never.

Mitchell and Webb are too old to follow the same old rhythm of flat mates as they did before without it getting sad (their words). Also, the characters were written specifically for them, so a remake/reboot/sequel/etc is very unlikely. I could see them doing a few skits or something like Mitchell and Webb Look doing homages to the show, but not much else.
Well, to be fair, they were always rather sad.

No no no. Series 8 and 9 were already a big enough step down. Just let it end with some grace.
Although not a traditional waterboarding (victim has water poured onto a cloth wrapped tightly over their nose and mouth to bring on the sensation of drowning), this is still hilarious and has probably never been done before making it brilliantly unique!
