Actually, Noble 6 seems to have been redacted from history. He'll at best end up as a myth or tall tale. Buck knows he existed, but ONI seems to have been hiding his existence. He isn't in Nobles memorial statue on Reach or Earth...

The biggest thing that helps cement that Six was the best S-III was that Cortana chose him when it came to delivering the Cortana Fragment that lead to Installation 04.
He's arguably played one of the biggest roles in ensuring humanity's victory, second only to the Chief.

Six and Chief are cool and all. But Sergeant Johnson is, legit, the best Spartan. The one man who formed an alliance between the Humans and Elites, something that was needed for 27 years.

Johnson isn’t immune to the flood, he is much more resistant than the average human to the flood but not immune the main reason he survived the encounter with the flood in installation 04 is because the infection pods seemed to ignore him because they didn’t register his nervous system

Basically Noble 6 is second only to Master Chief.
Or most Spartan 2's as they are quite literally physically better than him.
Pulse Spear yeah noble 6 plus Spartan II augmentation would’ve probably been nearly equal to the chief. or even have had the potential to be better. they did receive their initial training from the same CPO Mendez but 6 has the advantage of also receiving training directed by Kurt who was an original Spartan II AND a member of Blue Team AND was considered one the most tactically ingenious of that spartan class by the chief and the rest of Blue Team

Jerome 092 should be classed as a hyper lethal vector however he was revived later in the human-covenant war and shortly after was classed Mia (the orthodox classification) therefore didn’t receive as much credit as he should of. Please make a video on him 😄
GaMe_NaTiOn no Jerome should not be classed as hyper lethal. He’s great but not hyper lethal the way atriox made easy work of him and his squad no way should he be classed as hyper lethal. If he were on the same level as John and noble 6 he would have wiped the floor with atriox not fail with two other Spartans at his side. And also Spartan 2s such as Fred, Linda, Kelly, and Kurt and those who made up Spartan Black team to me rank above Jerome in terms of overall skill.

Indeed no he is not but I still think yes maybe at first chief would have a tough time but he’d ultimately win the fight even if you count in his whole luck factor. Not even that chief is genetically superior then all other Spartan 2s and has special powers or ability’s that he has yet to unlock or use due to the forerunners. So really chiefs true peak in being a hyper lethal has yet to be seen until he unlocks/uses all his new power.

Kurt is so underrated.
He also helped forge the Spartan III's into what they were, as well as being the one responsible for pulling numerous S-III's out of their Company's like all of Noble Team. I'm pretty sure he saved Dr. Halsey, Blue Team, Tom and Lucy on Onyx as well. Top 3 Greats to me are...

@@robertharris6092 when you sprint your thruster packs are being used (hence why you can sprint indefinitely) so I'm assuming the lore reason is that the constant use of the thruster pack saps your armor's energy and makes recharging your shields momentarily stop until finished.

In the first book Mendez tells John that as a noncom, the highest attainable rank John could achieve is the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer.

@@starhammer5247 i understand what you are saying. But the one thing I do know for sure is the military isnt known for just up and changing rules and regulations. I had an uncle serve for like 30 years in the US Navy. He retired as a "Master Chief Petty Officer" because that was the highest rank attainable. Im no just makung this up and neither was Bungie or 343i. The Halo version of the Navy is based loosely on our real world Navy. Non commisioned officers max at Master Chief Petty Officer. So simply saying "Well Lord Hood is the highest ranking officer in the Navy" doesn't mean he can just jump regulations. That isn't how the military works.

The fact the last Spartan is mentioned as your own is so humble and motivating. Many of us participated in Spartan ops, but the game made it feel like 1-4. Yet 00 included you specifically. This man is so underrated as a person and creator on TH-cam! Love it!

Arrival is also such a badass track. It sounded epic when in the background to your description of our Spartan's accomplishments.
It's visible in the intro cutscene as well. You see Buck mowing down and smashing through hordes of enemies with Locke close behind giving him backing him up, taking down a ghost barehanded. Vale went on and took down an entire phantom crew by herself. What was the most memorable thing Tanaka did? Colliding with a banshee mid fall, throwing a grunt over her shoulder and smashing through a stone wall.

With the release of the Halo Encyclopedia came new Spartan Bio-Metric Information, combining this with the Bio-Metric Information garnered from the Official Spartan Field Manual and other game pre-release sources we finally have a clearer picture of the Bio-Metric standings of each class safe for the original Orion candidates of whom we only have 1 example of which is Avery Johnson.
(Before beginning I would like to clarify that the height data presented in both passages (Halo Encyclopedia and Official Spartan Field Manual) are Mjolnir Armored and SPI Armored height ranges but that luckily we are able to convert that into their baseline augmented height as we know mjolnir makes an operator 9.7 centimeters taller than their base height and while SPI is not as bulky as Mjolnir does possess a similar baseline framework and components.)

This makes sense Ive always loved halo for the immersion it offered while I was growing up. Bungee always said they wanted you to be able to step in the shoes of Chief and both Nobel six and the Rookie remained nameless and did not show their face with little dialog. Of course 343 wanted to make cheif into a character separated from us. The books did this to we now have a good idea what his face looks like. As well as eye color and hair color and age. We have known his age and name for some time however.
I was happy that 343 replaced this with a Spartan IV we could call our own. This video did make me feel awesome so thanks for that. Also it would be reasonable to believe that before we were Spartans that we fought with all of our favorite characters as Marines and ODST’s through out the war. Similar to Buck. However that’s up to you in your own head canon. Halo is at its core a sandbox power fantasy with epic story’s. So get out their and kill the enemy Spartan

did any one else notice that there is one other honor that never gets mentioned, the rank patch for john-117 at the memorial at voi isn't a master chief petty officer rank patch, it is a master chief petty officer of the navy rank patch, of which there is only one at any given moment and they are the highest ranking non-commissioned officer in that branch of the military

Personally I would have to disagree with you saying that the best of the Spartan II would be john-117 only because he was never the best of anything compared to a lot of other Spartans my own opinion is Fred 104 mainly because the fact that in most times we're skill were tested he always came in second frequently which implies he deliberately underperformed to not be shown as the best
There’s a problem with that though, Fred was never designated as a Hyper Lethal Spartan. Fred simply doesn’t have the same backings as chief. Fred is definitely number 2 in my opinion but if it came down to a 1 on 1 between the two chief would undoubtedly win.
Chiefs entire story really is that he is the greatest warrior that humanity has or has had ever unless we’re talking 100,000 BC humanity then who knows. For him to be second to someone else would really take away from his entire story.
@@kxnginvictus2763 I'm just saying from all the things that I've seen/ read between the two Fred and John it was noted even by John that Fred constantly underperformed deliberately to make others look better than him but this is generally something based on personal opinion

@@zweitfire Most became Spartan IVs. Search around on TH-cam about ODSTs post Spartan IV creation. It's sad but there still are a few. I think some are stationed on the Infinity if my memory is correct.

Fireteam Crimson is simply cursed with perpetuality. When one dies, one re-alives.
If Infinite makes a callback or reference to Fireteam Crimson (one man fireteam during my playthrough) in the campaign, that would be a treat. I would know that my spartan is still being awesome in the background.

Honestly if the Rookie wasn’t killed and a became a Spartan IV I feel he would have been one of if not the best Spartan IV

Hes a spartan 3. He wouldn't of became a spartan 4. Just like chief is still a spartan 2.
@@robertharris6092 Rookie couldn't have been a Spartan III. He would have to be recruited as a kid.
Noble-6 was a headhunter which was a high class special forces unit tasked with suicide missions to eliminate hvt's within the covenant, insurgents and tasked with recon, often serving as a disturbance force in the background. You also have a Spartan 2 named naomi which is part of a black ops unit called Kilo Five. Before she starting serving in that unit she was introduced into the spartan program at the same time as Master Chief. Master Chief stated that she may have also been one of the greatest participants, going so far as to claim that she was the first ever Spartan to understand how to handle covenant weaponry. It's too bad we don't know all that much about these sort of units, I personally think the black-ops unit Kilo Five and the Headhunters have very cool lore to them, worth a look.

Yo just finished Spartan ops on legendary, i was gonna do it with a friend but they gave up after the first episode, so yeh i did the whole thing solo. defiantly would not recommend, unless you really, really like killing covenant. Also you dont mind dieing over and over as you attempt to get past a solid wall of knights. And you dont mind killing yourself, to get a fresh plasma pistol. My favourite mission was ep6 mission 1 where if you didn't kill the covenant fast enough, they would shoot down you ship and you would have to restart the entire mission. You did receive a mech, however on legendary it basically gets destroyed instantly and you only get one for the entire mission, but then your In trouble cus you can shoot down the phantom that comes to kill your dropship. Oh yeh also everyone you get gifted with a vehicle or marines in spops legendary, the covenant always carry plasma pistols and fuel rod cannons, just in case it was actually becoming fun, despite all this, the last 3 episodes were actually quite fun on legendary, as the game was more generous on vehicles, enemy engagements were more fair, and some marine squads were actually invincible(until the game decided it was time for them to die, then they died almost instantly). So yeh my recommendation is dont solo spops legendary. But if you played on normal and got put of by the first couple of episodes cus they were kind of terrible, play to the end cus it gets much, much better, almost as good as the campaign, also they do add more maps, as at the beginning you seem to repeat maps a lot.
