  • On the eve of the official launch of the all-new 2016 Jaguar XF, James takes a final look at the 2015 car - in 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel guise. It looks the goods on the outside but is showing its age on the inside. With great value deals across the board, the XF might just make the right amount of sense if now is the time for a Jag in your life.

    "plenty of headroom", and he's literally leaning his head sideways not to hit the roof. I appreciate the honesty.

    I bought a Silver 2012 3.0d XF S Portfolio a month ago. Absolutely love it. Plenty of punch under the hood and being diesel the torque has you pinned in your seat. So far I cannot fault the car. It is a dream to drive. I have the Ivory full leather interior with black detailing and I never want to leave, sometimes I tell the missus I’m sleeping in the car tonight.

      If you ever feel it lacking, an easy to fit performance chip makes it super fast and better economy. Hard to argue with. A beaut of a car

    Good video, thanks. I've got a 2011 one here in England. I love the car, even though both inlet manifolds broke within six weeks of each other; £2,800 ouch! But I only paid £7,950 in 2021. This is the best value, second hand, prestige car you can buy in the UK. I love this Jag.

    Still dont get it. What do they mean by saying "Jags dont have the same tech as their German rivals" ... what do Germans have vs Jaguars?? Reliability issues ?

    • @gold_bars
      @gold_bars 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He's referring to the overall technology inside the car...
      For example, I loved my XFS, but the touch screen function speeds were so slow and laggy, it was painful.
      The graphics on the Sat-Nav were also grainy and looked slightly dated compared to the German rivals...in fact, the graphics on the entire entertainment system was the same...
      Other than that, it was a pleasure to be inside and drive.

    • @gregcy89
      @gregcy89 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gold_bars since when the touch screen is an important reason to choose a car? I really dont get it...

    • @gold_bars
      @gold_bars 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gregcy89 Well if you're going to spent that kind of money on a car in that class/category, you're going to want to 'the best' of everything... But if you're buying a "rough and ready" Street car e.g. Skyline R34, R33, Supra, etc. then yes, agreed that "screen graphics" aren't important or even required for such driver focused cars. Sadly though, the increased use of screen graphics seem to be pushed into everything...
