Being an autistic adult, it was my first time traveling by myself over the summer, so I decided to give the TSA Cares program a go. When I used TSA Cares to travel back home from Chicago Midway to ATL, one of the passenger support specialists walked with me directly to the gate. He also met me at the departure section for drop-offs and helped with my bags. However, when I was going from ATL to Chicago, it took them a while to find me, and they helped up to getting through security. Before I took the plane train to my gate, they pointed out which direction to go and where the train would be. I guess it depends on the busyness of the airport, and TSA should be more aware of its own program, in my opinion.

Make sure the airport you are traveling through has the TSA cares support specialist as not all airports have them. So sorry for your experience but I’m glad y’all got through it.

If they don't call ask for a passenger support specialist. They will come when you check your 🆔. Ask for a manager they walked through it with me.

The ONE thing you didnt do was specifically request a PSS. If you speak their lingo, they will get it. If the agent you speak with doesnt think anyone can help you, a supervisor can. "Passenger Support Specialist"

No hate girl, just some facts. If you booked and paid for seats to sit all together you shouldn’t have had a problem sitting together. You can’t expect other people to accommodate you when they have paid for their seats and want to sit where they have paid to sit. Moreover, at the beginning of the video you said your kid didn’t even get to have breakfast, that’s on you. You also said you didn’t get to see such and such because it took so long to get through the security process. TSA cares is not about getting you through quick and cutting the line. If anything, it would take longer. It’s about someone who has been specially trained to deal with whatever disability you have, and who will have the utmost patience in getting you through the line while still making sure to have your needs met. You don’t get to by pass security, or cut the line, everyone has to go through.
