My theory- Qimir is not a Sith Lord. He is an Acolyte. He doesnt have a master he's a student of Sith teaching. And he wants the power if two. He's quoting Bane. He's trying to recreate the Sith not knowing they arent really extinct.

Ya, saw the scars and rolled my eyes. The standard, this is what being whipped looks like scars. Not how a whip works but I can't complain too much since we are talking about a light sabre whip to begin with.

I have a theory, and I am posting this in several places. Here's what I am thinking...Qimir mentions that he was a Jedi a very long time ago, and that had to lose everything in order to be free. I think Qimir is Imri Cantaros...Vernestra's Padawan who she thought died in an explosion at the Starlight Beacon. Imri is a Genetian. He had a strong "Force Empathy" that he had a very hard time controlling. I am guessing that is why Qimir wears the helmet. It not only protects him, it keeps him from being influenced by random emotions. It gives him control. I am guessing at this point Vernestra has felt Qimir's presence and desperately wants to cover up the fact that she left her leaning towards the Dark Side Padawan for dead. (Vernestra has that whip...hense his scar). He is eliminating her whole team. I am now wondering if Qimir sensed the twins, wanted a pupil, and set the stones on fire on Brendok to break the connection between the girls and their mothers, and to build the rage and loss in the girls so one or both would turn to the Dark Side. I am not convinced that Qimir has a Master other than Vernestra. I am thinking Qimir is a Fallen Jedi, but not necessarily a Sith. I think HE wants to be the Master. I don't know what planet Osha and Qimir are on for this episode...but it looks like their are veins of Cortosis in the cave they are in. That might be blocking anyone "feeling" him in the force. How the Jedi High Council are not feeling this...I don't know. My only thought is that Khofar is in the Outer Rim, far from Coruscant. Also, when Vernestra was talking to the Senator, it sounded like there was an ambitious Senator grasping for power who is no friend to the Jedi...a serious distraction for them perhaps. I like the Knights of Ren idea...they were power of many for sure! Or maybe the precursor of those knights. I am also wondering if Sol is a Genetian. He seems to have that Force Empathy too.

So, I’m guessing you never read phase 3? Imri is alive and Vernestra saw him and knows this. She tried to knight him but he decided to leave the Jedi to help a group of people who were suffering under the thumb of the Nihil. They parted amicably and Vernestra felt like Imri was so much more centered than she was. She was proud of him. There’s no way Imri is Qimir.

This episode felt unfinished . Like it felt too short.
It would be nice if Episodes were the customary 45min average length of normal hour long dramas.
All of the episodes have been too short (not the rapper) on this series, should be 45-50 minutes not 25-35 minutes for this show.

I would like to know how Qmir met Mae, since he hid his face from her as sith master… now he is building a relationship with Osha who knows his face. It’s a different vibe and interesting comparison to how each sister is treated.

I’m convinced Mae has bipolar issues. Her decision making is absolutely insane. Become sith, leave sith, love sister, turn myself in, try to fight off Jedi, I like Osha, I don’t like Osha, turn into Osha, kill Sol, don’t kill Sol, hug Sol.

In hindsight….the bounty hunters in ESB looked cool…we didn’t see them do much…Star Wars is built like this…it allows for the knights of Ren and other seemingly throw away ideas, a future.
I always see these SW shows as a director playing with their Star Wars figures…telling the stories they want to tell…that’s how I always imagined Star Wars, my own creation after the fact. That’s my take anyway…may the force be with you.

I think the short seasons of shows now a days is what really hurts this series. If this is all it takes to turn Osha the show will have become a little hollow for me. Even the deaths fell flat because we had such little time with them.
My biggest issue with this show is that NOBODY has told the goddamn Jedi Council about any of this. I'd call them myself if I could.

If Qimir survives and the Acolyte doesn't get a second season it would be cool to see a spin-off series with him especially if Osha is still around. There's still 100 years between the events of the Acolyte and Phantom Menace - plenty of time for other adventures None of the characters would technically have to die at this point if there is a coverup that keeps the truth from the Jedi council.
One area the Acolyte starts to explore...and i hope it does it more...is to show us that the Jedi doctrine is not as pure and good as we may always have thought.
When Yoda made the famous statement about "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to Suffering" we were all sold into the Jedi doctrine of rejection of emotions...because of the risk that positive emotions like love could be manipulated and twisted to the dark side...which we saw with Anakin.
But in the Acolyte, Qimir says that "losing everything sets you free" (or words to that effect)...and this really opens up another way of thinking that the Jedi ignored.
If someone Force gifted has already experienced the worst loss...like Osha has...and has had years to come to terms with it...they can harness that emotion if they need whilst not being open to manipulation.
This new interpretation of a way to use the force that isnt based 💯 on either Jedi or Sith teachings...is really interesting.
Qimir is by far the most intriguing character. I wish he was the protagonist of the show. If this show was more centered around him and Sith teaching. Home-run. The Actor is great in the role as well.

I like the nods to Darth Bane novels with the Cortosis mining and helmet. :) Last two episodes were really good. I like his more level headed performance. He is doing a great job.

Qimir is probably in his 30s.
He’s a decade older than she is and padawans during this period were traveling all the time due to the republic expanding into other planets, so he was prob not at the temple a lot. Jedi were sent to outposts to keep order.

When Osha asks why she never heard of him when she was a padawan...he said it happened a very long time ago. And we know Venestra lives very long....so he could have been her padawan and then spent time in statis before coming out in this time period. Her keeping his fall as her padawan a secret appears in line with her current MO of keeping things from the council.
Its interesting how she manages to setup Sol taking the fall for the whole thing but making it seem like its not her idea. Very shady character.

The moment of silence when Qimir doesn’t confirm it was his Jedi master who caused the scars on his back and Qimirs smirk to Osha’s question, makes me think it was his actual Sith Master who abandoned him and left him for dead. After all, no Jedi would teach their padawan to bleed their kyber crystal 🤔
This is what I was thinking too! Someone had to teach him to bleed the crystal. Of course, this could just be a plot hole they didn't think about.

Hey Charlie! So I can fill you in on the vernestra 'unsettling' comment:
In the high republic novels we come to understand that vernestra has a force ability that is activated in hyperspace. You could say she's a hyperspace "dreamer," in that, she gets visions of past present or future events that she eventually learns to recognize as such and is able to better understand as she gets older and more experienced. What's interesting is that right now, where they have her in the timeline of novels (I can completely up to date on all the high republic reading material), she's stepped away from the council/Coruscant and become a wayseeker...so the question is...What brought vernestra "back," sort of speak, to realign with the jedi council enough to return to coruscant and instruct/lead jedi knights??
Maybe this series will uncover that...TIME WILL TELL!

Qimir is clearly a Dark Jedi using the sith moniker to taunt Sol. The red light saber can be explained by the bleeding process occurring during his time after his history with the jedi. He reminds me more of Set Harth than a sith in his attitude. Minus the Art and luxurious lifestyle.

I think Sol realized when Mae began being "too" interested in what happened on her planet. He sensed her being desperate to know as we did as viewers. Dramatic irony.
Vernestra hates hyperspace bc it triggers powerful force visions in her where she sees and talks to ghosts etc. She used to lie to people and just say hyperspace made her feel ill bc the visions were scary to her.

Venestra saw her weapon during a Force Vision about her own future and was determined to make it, and the Jedi Council allowed her to have her own unique weapon.
Psychometry is the force powe that vernestra was using. I'm also convinced that Sol and Qimir are brothers. With Qimir being born after Sol has already left to the order and that the true sith will find qimir and destroy him as he is a rival.

Mae wants either revenge or justice. Which was the title of episode 2, where she offered Torbin that option after she failed to get him to fight her.

“Turn yourself into the Jedi Council and confess your crimes. Or, take this and find the absolution you seek.”
And is what she told Qimir when she set that trap for him in episode 4.
Mae:
“I don’t have to kill a Jedi. I’ll just go to Master Kelnacca and turn myself over to the Jedi Council.”
Qimir:
“But, they’ll arrest you.”
Mae:
“Not after what I have to tell them.”
She had mentioned it once or twice elsewhere too.
And she didn’t sabotage the comms. Rather she was trying to get ahold of the Jedi Council, when Sol came in and cut the comms.

From the beginning Sol wanted Mae instead of Osha. The witches were ok with allowing Osha to be tested but Sol made it a point to ask for Mae.

I think Qimir was a Jedi when Sol was a youngling. He said he was a Jedi a long long time ago. That doesn’t sound like maybe 10-15 years ago. Maybe whatever he was bathing in is keeping him young and fresh lol
the sith did experiment in ways to extend life.. maybe he partially succeeded
the "Unknown Planet" may be Bal’demnic which in "Legends" is a planet with veins of raw cortosis

I lean towards Vinestra Ro keeping dark secrets about having thrown Qimir out fo the Jedi Order and about corrupt past orders that Sol followed as her student but was forced to keep secret. I think Sol is buying time before confronting Ro about all this. The hints that Sol is dark-side leaning I think are only misdirection. Maybe the twins will fight together against Ro at the very end.
Pure speculation, of course, which admittedly leaves a lot of loose ends...
The fact Venestra has a light purple whip light saber blew my mind 🤯🤯💯 and makes me think she is the next to die soon because we definitely don't see a light saber like hers in the future! Pretty much one of a kind unique saber and almost ensures her death in a later episode 😫 but man I hope to see her fight with it now because that was epic!
She’s the only one who ever had one. She had a vision to build one and had to get special permission from the council. If other whips were going to happen, it would have happened over the last hundred years she was alive.

I have my doubts regarding Sol becoming evil, I think he could become a Ahsoka type case. Someone who left the order because the way it ended up becoming corrupted and then disagreeing with it. I am expectant to see what happens with OSHA and MAE.

Well, when you fail an OSHA Examination, it's everyone's problem, not just yours. Qimir/The Sith Stranger is just someone who cares about the structural integrity of The Force Witches.
My theory is he’s a “false sith” as in he’s just a fallen Jedi doing what he wants and at the end of the series whoever his apprentice is and himself will be slain by plagieus full TCW style like when sideous took out maul and savage

Every thing with Osha and Qimir on that "Unknown Planet" the whole situation is like a "mirror" or "reversed" version of Rey and Luke Skywalker on Ach-To in The Last Jedi. I mean it seemed fully intentional.
Also: Bazil was causing the power disruption and comms glitches to delay Sol and Mae "Osha" so he could tell Sol that "Osha" wasn't Osha before she could try to kill Sol and take the ship...
I think that at first Sol didn't know "Osha" was really Mae until Bazil told him, but he did see that "Osha" was acting a bit "off", her lack of being upset about Jecki was a big red flag, it was Bazil that confirmed it *wasn't* Osha to Sol.
Notice that Qimir said he was a Jedi a very long time ago (he could be much older than he appears), and his "Jedi" Master tried to kill him and left a large whip-like scar on his back, some are hypothesizing that his former teacher was Venestra (the green skinned Jedi Master with a Saber-Whip) and she "killed him" when she saw a vision that he might "turn to the Dark Side"

I have a theory, that Qimir is Darth Plageus and he's learned how to transfer his consciousness into other bodies allowing him to cheat death, just like Tenebrae (Darth Vitiate, Valkorian). The Munn species we know Plagues to be is actually the final body he transfers to after this Darth Thirst Trap body he's in now.
But his master had brought Plagueis' parents (Munns) to together after sensing the Force strongly in them and they did get married and then got young Plageuis. Darth Tenebrous took his sweet time until young Plagueis was a grown man before he made him his apprentice. So Plagueis was born a Munn.
Plagueis' obsession with immortality was because of his Sith Master Tenebrous who possessed him after being killed by Plagueis. Tenebrous even infected his former apprentice with disease and thus fullfilling his given name Plagueis. But yes, thanks to his former master, Plagueis went on his journey learning all he could about bio-engineering and using the Force as IVF method. He even tried to establish a Force Dyad with Sidious first but failed before going trying his luck with themethods I mentioned before.

So like something I’ve noticed, that the first shot of “the stranger”… the “kill the dream” speech, well there’s a reflection in the water beneath him that’s very blurry but the saber is not. Perhaps some pudding is there.

@chrisburton3571 No, I just made a prediction. She is a Jedi that uses a Whip and looks evil as he'll. That's what I based my prediction on.
I think qimir was a padawan/knight and witnessed or participated in the jedi massacre of the coven and somehow that changed him. What we are seeing is how each jedi is dealing with that trauma.

We get to see the Siths perspective on the Force and it's deep how the show is bringing it forth. Once Qimir aka Smilo Ren Sith Kabobs now skinny dipper 😂🤦🏾♂️ appeared I've been emersed in the show.
Of all the star wars content, balance of the force is always repeated, so that means there must be 2 diametric force opposing each other. When the sith is destroyed the jedi becomes complacent and therefore the force births the sith to bring balance again and vice versa.

Qimir now feels very much Darth Maul coded. Once an apprentice of a sith lord, Tenebris, who was discarded. He does say he use to be a jedi, "a long time ago, but people guessing Vernestra is a secret sith r wrong. I do believe the whip marks on qimirs back r from Vernestra but only at a battle where she found out qimir was a dark side apprentice.
As for Sol, next episode will show us that in the past the witches possessed kalnaca to unalive the other jedi. Out of pure anger and desperation, Sol turned to the dark side and used lightening force to take out all the withches at one time. The witches unalive released kalnaca from their control.
I believe all the characters in this story will die by end. Including Qimir, Sol, mae, and osha. Vernestra will cover it all up. 😎
I agree about qimir being the most interesting character so far in the series. I do in fact believe that sol and qimir had more of a history than they’re leading us to believe and when it is finally revealed it’s gonna hit everyone hard.
All the jedi bodies conveniently died within 3 feet of each other, and Sol couldn't even bother to close their eyes. The only reason he didn't take them with or build a pyre for them is because they saw the script for episode 6. He didn't know he wouldn't be going home at the time (which was the intent) and nobody knew the other group of jedi's would come to investigate. Even the line from female Shrek was ADR and added later, like ooops, we need to do something about those bodies.
My theory is that Qimir is the former apprentice of master Green lady Ro. Those are saber whip marks on Qimir's back.
Vernestra Rwoh’s light saber behaves like a whip. It would explain the whip like markings on “the strangers” back.
Her tattoo is going to play a part later.
Are they going to try and establish that the aim of the rule of two is has been to create/form a dyad? "I want th power of two".... The witches created a dyad etc....
I think it would be really cool to see Osha make her own unique helmet of cortosis
